I love the EDP version. I don't care if everyone and their dog has it (apparently, Bleu de Chanel EDT is the best selling men's fragrance in Canada). It's a great fragrance! Yeah, people want to be unique snowflakes, I get that, but when something smells great, it smells great. Just enjoy it!

I like both but i prefer the EDT. Some people call it generic but the fragrance world is a copycat industry, Generic is not a bad thing because many generic fragrances smell really good. It's better to wear a generic fragrance that most people like than an obscure,loud,daring,unique oud fragrance that most people dislike.

Great review. Bleu de Chanel EDP for me, I prefer it way over Sauvage and Dylan Blue, it feels smoother than those two.

I own the Parfum and enjoy it. Great for work (office) and it performs fine for me. I detect wafts of its scent a good number of hours after applying. When you spray on a card and waft it 5 hours later... the scent is sublime. Good review.
MrSmelly discovered animation software, there's trouble on the horizon.
My conclusion is you need to buy both for layering, 2 sprays of edp for the deepness and 2 sprays of edt for the freshness. I didn't feel like spending that kind of cash on both bottles so told Chanel to bugger off.

I've never gotten my nose on EDT. I have EDP and Parfum versions. Prefer Parfum on days when I'm in business attire - EDP for casual days as I find it more versatile.

I've got Bleu De Chanel EDP. A girl talked me into buying it because she thought it was sexy smelling. I don't care for it though. I'd rather wear Versace Dylan Blue. It just smells better in my opinion.

The difference is noticeable but subtle. I would have to agree with the always entertaining Mr. Shelly’s review.
The EDP is more interesting, more complex, not so ordinary and my preference as well.
I have tried to force myself to like this since I started my fragrance journey in March. I just can't do it. It's a beautiful fragrance, smells amazing in the bottle. But I just don't enjoy it on my own skin. This, Sauvage, Dylan Blue and Aqva Atlantic, are all amazing smelling, but I get that bag of frozen fish sticks smell on my skin. It just doesn't sit well with my body chemistry. It is funny though, two women I work with actually enjoyed it. But it is a definite pass for me
absolutely go for edition Blanche.edp is edt plus chemicals..so edt for me.
On opening edp is better. Mid dry down they smell almost exactly the same. On the full dry down the edt is godlike ( a super dark citrus with smooth undertone maybe do the incense infusion). The dry down of the edp is meh.
I bought the EDP and could not smell anything on me, neither could my friends. I resprayed 5 times and still nothing, this was also the case with a tester bottle in a store. I could not smell the EDP on myself after 5 seconds of applying or 2-5 hours later. I sprayed my arms and put my nose really close but still nothing to detect. The EDT on the other hand, I can smell for 6-7 hours, and it projects really well.
Love how you have D&G By in your intro banner, that’s one of my all time faves. I still have a little bit of it left but I hate to use it because when it’s gone there’s no way to get anymore 😨

Just got the EDP and love it, versatile, subtle but has a classy mature presence. In case I want something bolder for the evening or going out, I would use my YSL La Nuit de l’homme
I own the EDP it is my reliable work scent, I find it more sophisticated.
Chanel Allure sport, oh my god, gorgeous
I tried it , loved the smell but seems to go away pretty quickly unfortunately
Try the eau extreme version guys, its much better and it lasts longer
AldoSV no definitely not. The original allure sport is the best. The extreme lacks the dna that makes the allure line so great. The extreme is just hyped.
Allure edition blanche is fabulous

Good review and frag, I'm testing the edp sample I got. It doesn't beat the Chanel Allure H.S. that is one of my favourites but it's pleasant..
It's my sotd. I also own the EDP and have sampled the parfum many times. To me the edt takes the cake
Have EDP, not a "wow" scent, but is a blind reach and crowd pleaser.

robes08 me too, I smelled the edp and didnt like it at all compared to the edt
Finally got the edp 50ml, didn't think it was worth it for a hundred bucks, but now that ive got it its surprisingly refreshing and have been the only fragrance ive been wearing but then again thats what i do with every new fragrance then it gets boring 😂.

Beautiful review mate, enjoyed it thoroughly. I have BDC EDT and its one of my 'meh' fragrances as it is quite generic and unexciting, but people seem to like it on me and I get a few compliments now and then.

EDT is sharp, EDP is smooth.
My opinion about Bleu de Chanel is that I'll go for Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme.
This is exactly how I feel. I never understood why such the rave about this one. For collecting purposes, I did but the EDP for all the reasons Mr smelly pointed out.
Hi I'm 24 and after a new fragrance to try I currently only have a couple off cheap ones that I using what I find alright davidoff horizon and sometimes adventure but would like something better am after something that would be fine to use all year round but with beast mode performance like 12 hour on skin
I have tried dolice and gabbana the one in the past I liked it it but perfomance was rubbish I'm not very keen on Davidoff cool water and also not to keen on 1 million evan tho it's very popular any recommendations
I prefer the EDT since I find the EDP too strong and too beastly. Also found the EDP to be too sweet for me

I have the edt and I'm loving it, baught the edp because of the hype and it smells like Buble gum floor cleaning solution! Not sure if I got a bad one.
I have both but well, I'm using EDP is more mature but I only use when I dress a bit formal way. I also use it in the office but behind my neck and chest 1 shot for each.
Good intro. The EDP is maybe a lil betta but whatever.
I have Bleu de Chanel EDT decant sample of 20ml, little decanty bottle. I think its posh and OK smelling but weak. too weak and not too exciting for me. Freshie summer. its okay. But not worth bottle buy

I laugh so much with the intro hahahalol, the intro music sounds like Lex's style. Talking about Bleu de chanel, I have both and I use them in fall, winter and spring but I use EDP in winter more than EDT however I feel EDT projects and that zesty opening and citrus vibe it makes more daylight and warmer days uses however I find EDP more seductive and more unique. As you we all know, many fragrance designers(Dior, Versace) and some even sport cloth brands have copied some vibe of Bleu de chanel EDT.
Been wearing Parfum for a year...get many compliments...one of the few mens fragrances I like...most are truly awful, with the exception of the more exclusive and expensive ones...

its weird many people say the longevity of bdc edp is on average but it last very long on my skin..

Bleu de Chanel EdP wins for me. I own all 3 and I go for the EdP wins every time.....The Parfum is a good formal fragrance at night.

This is the only Chanel that has never clicked for me - even years after trying it over and over again. It’s perfectly pleasant but the dry down is just not for me.
Bleu de Chanel EDT all day long. But, my bottle was produced in early 2015. The current bottles don't smell as rich and alluring. In the case of the latter, I prefer the EDP.
Last version of BDC EDT smell great and last longer

I prefer the EdT. But I'm not fancy of both of them. The generic sandalwood base puts me off. You find it similar in dozens of other average fragrances of the day.

Really like the smell of the EDP on my hubby I agree I'm not a fan of that shower soap smell on my hubby !! It's definitely the amber in it that I love but for the price he won't be getting it again LOL to be honest I prefer the smell of something like obsession or Eternity Now on him !! I’m so into non-hyped fragrances like you as well hahaha . A fragrance that draws compliments doesn’t necessarily means that it’s a good one.
I love the scent of both, however both are cursed with really bad performance. Because of that I prefer Versace Dylan Blue which is very similar in smell, but performance is exceptionally good.

Good Fragrances but not worth the price tag. I would go for either Dior Sauvage or L,eau D'Izzy which are both better and certainly last and project for longer. Nice review again Mr Smelly.

Guys ! I got question plz . If someone has a bleu de Chanel bottle , plz advice the color of the juice because my bottle has yellow juice . I had mine in 2013 and when I spray it on my clothes nowadays it turn to unpleasant smell I don’t know why !
