Love how you all use baltic birch plywwood to make workshop cabinets etc like it's some cheap material...I don't know what it costs in the US, but here in the UK it's almost £200 or $250 per 8 x 4 sheet.......😆

Oh wow!! That material was about $50 per 8x4 sheet for me!

@@CombsDesign I wish it was that price here, but it's the same with any hardwoods, for example we'd pay £1150 pounds plus delivery for just 50 metres of 5" x 1" oak.
as for decent woodworking tools, the prices we pay here in the UK are also eye wateringly expensive, ....for example to equip even a modest woodworking shop here in the UK with the cast iron high end table saws, planer/thicknessers and various other machines, plus the hand tools and the racks full of clamps etc that you all seem to have in the US would cost us at least £25 thousand pounds or more.....😄

I am wanting to make a router table miter saw combo station as well. One thing I am trying to figure out is alignment so that I will have enough clearance needed from the router table feed through to clear the miter fence. What's your depths you use there? And have you ever run into an issue? Great video and I like your calm style.

Great video and nice shop! Would you be up to sharing the dimensions for the template you used to cut in th opening for the router plate?

I'm looking to do something like this. Is it safe to say your counter top is about 24 in deep? Are there any issues with mobility on the router table with larger pieces?

    Lovely installation.
Rockler blast gates get bad vibes from many people. I wonder why they dont modify or withdraw it?

Honestly, a lot of Rockler branded products are overpriced and poorly made. That being said, Rockler has done a good job sponsoring a lot of higher profile TH-cam channels that then go on to rave about their products. I have stopped shopping there because I am disappointed in the price of their branded products, the quality of their products, or both. I wish I could rave about them and use them as a resource, but I simply can't anymore. Specifically with the blast gate, I assume they sell a lot of them, they are cheap to make, and the profit margins are pretty high. From a strictly business standpoint, it is a good product for them.

great design, but if you push a long board, it'll stoped by the miter saw fence. how you fix this problem?

So funny story. I originally designed this with a different miter saw, and the fence cleared. I forgot to update the design when I switched saws. It was a major oversight and inconvenience. If I need to do a lot of router work with long boards, I am able to simply remove the miter saw with the threaded hardware I used.
