For some reason, whenever someone mentions "millenial" I think of people on facebook boasting about how they were 90's kids. Also, my mother is such a hoarder she still has all my school books and my exams. I should donate it to this guy.

I feel that 好公民 is necessary. How would kids know what they should do unless someone tells them or teaches them lol. They should even teach manners in school too.
Starts with J || it's in Chinese. And during my CCE lessons, NOBODY listens and plays with slime instead. We don't understand and feel that it is useless. And even if the teacher tells us the meaning of the characters and 'meaningful and character building' words of the 弟子贵，we would forget by recess since our lessons were two periods before it, everyone was focused on the time, who they would go with, what should they eat or just reading a book under their table. I admit that I also do not pay attention. Maybe in English it would've been better. But I don't think this has impacted my lives whatsoever, or anyone who complaint to me because-( I'm a complainer hahaha the queen of it actually)

THE ANONYMOUS MEE I have forgotten at what age I had 好公民 but judging by what you said, it seems like it is taught at upper primary level. Kids that age have the tendency to be rebellious so they tend to do the "cool stuff" as they don't want to seem nerdy. Thus, they would not bother with subjects like this. I do remember that I was one of them. But at my age now, I view things differently and by looking at kids nowadays, many do not know what respect and manners are. But I do agree that they should teach it in English as it will probably appeal to them more. Also, I think that it should be taught at a younger age like maybe from kindergarten or primary 1 as they would be more receptive and obedient.
Starts with J Actually they teach it to every level now, even P1. Im in P6 so i know. Its in chinese (kinda boring too) and my school is a catholic school so we have cathecism but those who are non catholic will take Ethics which teaches you abt morals and stuff ( a little boring tho ). I take Ethics, being a free thinker myself.
Even adults need reminders of basics sometimes.

GogO Sarang Some of the older coffeeshops still have the orange payphones. I remembered seeing it every now and then. Whether do they still work or, that's another story.

Those phonecards and payphones! 10¢ per 3 min rate, I remember! I had classmates who don't buy their own phonecards and kept asking to 'borrow' phonecards and then they spend so much time on their phonecalls that it zaps up so much phone credit that they end up using more credit than you did on your phonecard, and they don't pay you back the amount they used! Grrr… And the queues at payphones is usually the longest at recess time! LOL!
And those textbooks! My cousin who's a few years older than me used that version featured, but mine were a slightly later syllabus that's published right after those.
