I can live with a few reading errors here and there. I never want to see an AI that gets to smart, that will just bring us closer to Skynet! Really good story 👍
Wow, you have no idea how happy your comment makes me. I study tirelessly to bring better stories to the channel and knowing this really encourages me! Stay with God and see you in the next Story!
@@FictionalReimagined What I tend to do to combat this, is any words that tend to get misspoken, I edit the text. For example, with this voice you use, I have heard it pronounce grenade as gren-ard! So, I would edit the text before the processing and put that as gren-aid! This is the problem with the English language, too many words than can be pronounced different ways, such as "lead". Either that, or things like AI has not idea as to the correct pronunciation, such as "grenade"!!
WoW. Thank you very much for following the evolution of the channel and my stories, I am always looking to improve myself to deliver better stories, is your name Glen? It's because for me sometimes it appears as Glen and other times as another name, but in any case, thank you and God bless you!
I just really wish they would use human readers. Considering how many voice actors are out there that want to build a library of work to show what they can do, I even know several that would do gigs like this for free to manage the portfolio. It's just so jarring as it is. Maybe it's because I listen to so many audiobooks but it is a struggle to sometimes get thru these. Hades, I've given up on 'proper' professional audiobooks if the reader is bad - it can make or break a story.
True, but many creators in this niche use the AI/TTS, due to the fact they may have a heavy accent, or English may not be their first language. Yes our own voices may help, but not always. I narrated creepypastas on my channel for over 4 years and it has been very slow going....I am still not even monetized and not everyone likes my own voice. So on this channel of mine, I currently have 489 videos and it is only the last dozen videos or so I have started using an AI/TTS voice. The one I use (Hades_grim_gravitas) is one of the better ones and it doesn't make many mistakes. I do have a more recent second channel (@InsterstellarSciFiTales) where I narrate (author-written) stories in this niche, and I use my own voice. In the short time this 2nd channel has been up n running, it seems to have been doing pretty well so far. 35:08
AI (likely) makes things much faster. People don't just hit the ground running, getting a reading spot on the first time. AI don't lose their voices, have kids or pets needing attention, work, appointments, or personal health interrupting their production of FREE CONTENT. The comment I've seen so much about 'there are so many good voice actors out there, they should just help each other with their content.' Putting out content takes time. People want and deserve to be paid for their time. So a good creator, just getting started likely cannot afford to hire people, and neither can midrange creators. Some may not make meaningful contact with other creators until they are on the edge of actually starting to make money. Creators already making money are less likely to help out an up and coming creator unless they LOVE their work. TL/DR: getting others to help for free is expecting a bit much, and they likely aren't making money yet.
I intend to change the narrator soon, it will be a difficult experience at first, but I believe it will be pleasant over time. I use this multilingual model because it is one of the least bad free ones, there are eleven labs but I don't have the budget or time to create with them because it takes time, so I want to improve but everything takes time and money! Thanks for the comments, you are so kind to hear the stories I post!

I hear the same AI voice I hear everywhere else and leave without listening anymore. I've given them a fair chance, but they're really bad at proper inflection. The AI needs to learn to read ahead and understand what's going on. AI can't do that properly yet.
Some are REALLY bad, completely monotone, and inconsistent pronunciation of the same word two sentences later in the story. I hate those. Real readers can sound monotone as well, though, making good writing unbearable. The problem is feeding a block of text into whatever affordable AI is at hand and no review or correction of the results.

To be fair, some of the TTS voices are like that, but others are better, it all depends on what voice the creators opt to use.
