I really like the fact that the battery is interchangable with the ocelot pro battery. Huge plus. It is certainly an attractive bike. I love the step thru design.
Hey Russ, Agree the Green and Yellow are very pretty. I have the Space Grey as you know and I would say its elegant. Im older than you...just a minute or so...LOL, and I agree the 2 pretty bikes are hot hot hot!!! I think Magicycle is a very generous group of people and a great company to be associated with for sure. They always treat us well.
Very cool ebike. Also cool about you helping name the color. LOL. My husband rides a bike that is orange and black. He loves it. Those are his high school colors. LOL I got to ride a little yesterday due to unseasonably warm weather. It got up to 70 degrees F here in south central PA. It was pretty windy though. No problem for my bike but my jacket collar was flapping around. PS I like fenders too and the look of fenders.
@@RussIsRightWe have had no real snow storm at all this season so far. We are all just wondering when it is going to hit us. I am praying, just not when I plan to fly to Florida, March 2. Please say a prayer for me.
Nice Russ! I like the Deer. I agree 50 for the fenders, rack, and tail light is a no brainer! Fenders alone can cost that much. Cool bike, looking forward to future rides on it.
I like the color for sure. I like the bike to be nice and visible, my Engwe is the orange one and I wear a high visibility motorcycle jacket when I EUC. The bike looks nice, might be a bit overkill unless you want to use it for hunting or something where there are more bumps, but people get to decide whether it’s worth it for them.
Good point. High visibility is the reason I even wear a yellow safety vest when I ride! And yes, it could be too much bike for a basic ride on a bike path, but off road, that rear suspension really shines. :)
Hi Russ, awsome looking bike..As far as Mark Wexy comments he has no integrity getting on your channel and bashing and thrashing your integrity, keep up the great work you do..And I bet you if that bike was $1000 Wexy would still be complaining 😳😳
Agreed JH! Amazing how Wexy and his ego thinks "he's all that" threatening to leave the channel if Russ doesn't take his advice on integrity. Talk about irrelevancy and nothingness.
Way to go Russ! Hitting the winter roads! I’m proud of you! I’ve been out 6 times in February! But even I have to wear heavy gloves! Cool bike, like the green too! Pretty loaded, with all the goodies! I did have my 4th fall, slipped on ice, not hurt other than my pride! Then my next ride got a screw in the back tire! 1st flat in almost 2000 miles!
Nice looking bike if you want full suspension fat tire bike that is very heavy. I prefer the yellow over the green. I like the magicycle commuter, but wish you could remove the battery. Wish the commuter step thru was a full step thru instead of mid step thru. I prefer non fat tire bikes sense I normally ride on roads. Must say I have never ridden a Fat Tire bike. I have ridden a lot of gravel with 2 inch tires and have not had problems (had a house on a gravel road). I never ride in the snow, since in the winter I’m in California. Thanks for talking about toque sensor vs cadence, nice explanation.
They are both great bikes. I think it boils down to size and whether you want or need a full suspension bike. But the Deer is a much larger bike so keep that in mind. Either way, please use my LINK first before you order and then use the codes. The link helps me a lot. Thanks!
Nice bike Russ. Lots of features for the money. Problem is that it weighs as much as my wife's and my Aventons put together. Even if my carrier would hold it, I wouldn't be able to lift it on.
The BeeCool bikes look like a great deal ! The Deer would give me a step-thru option...multi color display...2 year warranty...extra torque...cruise control...extra weight capacity...longer rear rack...a clock (?)...52 volt instead of 48 volt. The Deer weighing in at 92.3 pounds has stopped me from ordering it. 😢
It has more power than I can use & most likely a higher gear range too. I like the green. I really love the front mounting & would likely pay about 2500 for it. I wonder what about the tires, as 3" is more than I can use most of the time. I think the way for me is 52 volts & a 350 motor, but I'm not responsible for sales & marketing, or engineering, for that matter.
The Deer is 26" x 4" for tires and 750 watts for its motor. It peaks out higher of course. But you can always ride at PAS 1 or PAS 2 which will keep your power use less and still get the benefits of having an ebike with a rear suspension shock.
Aloha, Russ! How does the Deer handles hill climbs, at least 2-3 miles @ >15 deg slope?(Am no road engineer, so am just Guesstimating on Slope Angle/Degree)...Am looking for 2d ride. LOVE the Bigger battery!-lol
I was very very interested in getting the step thru but I talked to magic cycle and I was hoping to get a torque censor and change out shifter. But they said it's not a option . So I don't think I will be getting a magic cycle the suspension looks so good
@@RussIsRight iam so undecided I want this bike so much but just a couple things iam not happy with but it looks very comfortable to ride. I put on a lots of miles riding
Keep in mind that it weighs 92.3 lbs. Quite heavy, so you need to be able to hold that up if you stop or lean to the side. Riding it, you don’t really feel that though.
Massively overpriced! How is a bike with these specs priced so astronomically high? Russ, that's a proverbial elephant in the room, and you didn't address it. So how can I trust your reviews? It's obvious you're in Magicycle's pocket. I know when someone is or isn't giving it to me straight, as I have owned 6 e-bikes, including a Magicycle Cruiser. And I also watch many ebike TH-camrs. If I reviewed this bike, I'd have to be forthright and review it completely, good and bad. I'd point out that it is spec'd as a $1800ish bike. It's also unnecessarily heavy. Comparable full suspension e-bikes weigh 10lbs less. If you want to grow your channel and with integrity, do right by US Russ, not by the retailer. Don't compromise. I'll watch your complete review of the Deer in the spring and see if you take my advice. If not, that'll be the last video of yours I'll watch.
Sure, it's expensive. No doubt. But I'll bet there will be many who will pay that price to get it. As for being in Magicycle's pocket? Sure! I like their ebikes. So what am I to do... bash the bike simply because it cost more than some are willing to pay? I learned that no matter how much something costs, there are those who will pay it if they like the design of it. I used to work in high-end audio as a retailer when I was in my 20's. That stuff was REALLY expensive. Back in the late 70's and early 80's, I had people come in and buy a $2500 turntable, tonearm and cartridge and not blink an eye. Could I do it? Not at my age! Yet had I told them that the turntable they want was overpriced and you could easily spend $200 for one and it would still turn a record, I wouldn't be doing them proper service either. So, price is relative to what someone thinks something is worth paying for. So let me give it to you straight... it's costs more than some will pay but not for some other people. It's not the most expensive bike out there. I have another coming in that is over $5500. Wait until you see that one. I'll guarantee you'll think it isn't worth it. But others will. If this is the last you'll watch of the Russ Is Right videos, oh well. But I hope you'll see that I won't judge pricing just because I think something is expensive to the point where I can't afford to pay for it because I know others will be just fine with the price. Ride safe. That's more important.
Russ has integrity and honesty much more than most folks. He will not take in bikes he thinks are not quality or right for his viewers. He also will not sugar coat things. He has mentioned lots of things he does not like about some of his bikes. So why are you questioning him? If a bike is expensive, so be it. Sort of like you can get a used truck for $25k or go buy a new one for $45k. It is all a choice.
@Mark Wexy, a bike company has a right to charge a price to recoup their engineering research and development in a new full suspension design. Magicycle is offering a discount code at present for 300 dollars off so factoring that in this e-bike is not overly priced. Russ is Right has been honest in his reviews and he wont take on a e-bike manufacture that he feels is questionable. Have a great day Mark and ride safe.
@@RussIsRight Hey Russ, your reply is spot on. If someone likes this and likes the company they are going to buy it. The price is still phenomenal when compared to many other bike manufacturers. Certainly an interesting bike. To each his own of course, For me the jury is still out on full suspension at the targeted market.
That was a nice day to ride

Is the suspension adjustable ? Also is it very bouncy ? Thank you .
It is not adjustable and not extremely bouncy, but you can tell it is working if you go over bumps.
