How did you found that out. Do you know many people who haven't any violence, and people who have? You haven't even thought this out. People who either seek out violence, or end up in situations where they are violated, usually have some experience of violence, wether physical, sexual or psychological. In other words, people who end up with serial killers have almost certainly been treated poorly or inconsisten. Non traumatized people can detect and will avoid most people of conflict, like say, a serial killers or a narcissist.
It's not unless, he's wrong. The victims of most psychopaths or narcissists have been victims already. Normal functional people do not say: Hey, I wanna date a serial killer. It just doesn't happen in people who are connected to their instincts. In order to not quickly understand that people with antisocial or narcissistic personality disorders are dangerous and should be avoided, you would have to be traumatized. When we are connected to our selves, our emotionsz instincts, then we avoid those individuals because they scream DANGER .

I have a friend who got over anxiety by working at a slaughter house. I know it's weird but he said seeing how easily life can be taken makes him not afraid of anyone anymore. The story was creepy but very interesting. He was soft and always anxious but a year after he got the job at the slaughter house I noticed his confidenced increased tremendously. He said he knows how easy his life can be taken and how easily others can be taken. So he just doesn't feel protective of it anymore.... His confidence attracts alot of women. He is no serisl killer but here is a scenario where brutality desensitized someone to the point that they lost their anxiety and appeared more confindent and mysterious and we know women love thatv

Project confidence and it’ll come. “Fake it till you make it.” It all starts with confidence. Next time you want to approach a woman, pretend you already know she’s attracted to you. Be kind, confident, and be courteous but not deferential. It all starts with you. You can do it. I’d say “good luck,” but you don’t need it. Confidence. Everything will flow from there.

@Ooga Booga it seems that u have a really good basis , 6'3 is very attractive to alot of women , as i said in the comment above its about looks my friend and most of us men are short , and average , even ugly , confidence will do nothin if ur short and ugly , but it will help somone like you alot , just don't go around telling other man they just need to be confident, it won't help an ugly/average man at all which is the norm.
This is the answer. So many women love "fixing" men. For a good chunk of them, the more broken the better. Because if they "fix them" it's used as a measure of their own self worth. These guys are the most broken. So if they also happen to be even moderately attractive, then these type of women will come out of the woodwork wanting to be the one who fixes them. This ain't even getting into the fact that women tend to find power attractive. Which adds a whole other weird level to this shit.
Speaking for myself (and I’m a woman), I enjoy crime shows , serial killer documentaries etc because of the psychological aspect i.e I find it endlessly fascinating how someone could commit murder and want to understand what led them to it. I am definitely not attracted to killers though.

Women in general are fascinated with criminal law/justice. I need more than two hands to count the number I've met who want to be some sort of attorney
It relates to the archetypal female hero myth and sexual fantasy. These girls become obsessed because the serial killer is dangerous and untamed and they fantasize about being the one to tame him. The fact that serial killers often kill women only adds to the fantasy for these women. They want to be the special one that he ends up loving and therefore cannot kill, which would be a confirmation of how desirable and lovable they are. Sidenote: our society is probably fascinated by violence because of its novelty and the idea that one's character is tested in dangerous life-or-death scenarios we rarely get to live out.
Richard Grannon stated on a TH-cam video/seminar that female human sexuality can be viewed by the principal of taming a horse. Obvs with the "nice guy" there is nothing to tame there.
The way you word it almost makes it sound desirable, except that removing filters here means having no moral compass or conscious. I wouldn't call that freeing.
The psychology behind this is the attraction to bad boy power, someone who doesn't yield to the law and just does what they want. Some girls may have being so restricted by strict parents, thus desire release from order so intensely that they find bad boys appealing. It's a subconscious, kind of background response for a desire to be free of restriction and order.
This is true. I would never write letters or attempt to have a relationship with a serial killer but there is just a fantasy aspect to a good looking bad boy killer who does what he wants and goes against the grain and is so damn powerful thats appealing. I dont think that I can tame them or change them at all and would never even try. Its the fantasy of it.
Fear and power....I dont understand it cause I dont understand fearing another person. Dont care what they have done or could do.....unless I cant fight back, why fear? And power....what power does a killer have overall? They may take lives but I dont see that as them having power....I see it as them thinking that they're cause they kill tho
@Moises Hernandez_Portillo maybe in the 1960s but today with modern tracking tech you can’t get away with killing a large quantity of people in America.
@Caleb Tedford Well through means like a bio weapon, poisoning water&food, it’s still happening heavily today. But blatant murder with a gun, fists, knife or strangulation is hard to do to a huge amount of people before getting caught early on. Killing many people is still possible but it’s done through more subtle means, not the traditional methods of murder from human history
2:11 "The act of killing someone is mentally very difficult to do." 2:43 "Even a thousand years ago killing people was really common" Exactly! Killing isn't rare or amazing, historically it was common and the large majority of people are capable of it but only out of pure necessity. However, murdering someone for fun is totally different and I don't understand what women like about it. Really creeps me out tbh.
In a word, it’s evolutionary. As we’re not arm-wrestling each other in the streets, they focus on strength in others areas: bullying, threatening, and taking out the competition.
Serial killers don't take out competition tho, they hunt and kill vunrable people and most of the time it's women or children. Very rarely you see serial killers hunting other killers etc lol.

There have been studies done that states of fear and anxiety can lead to higher levels of sexual arousal. It is kinda sick and doesn't work on everyone if you're aware of it but it is why taking a person to see a horror movie for a date may actually be a good idea if you're trying to get somewhere.
I feel like that happens because generally sex produces serotonin the feel good hormone, hence making the person feel good and when someone is anxious and scared, they want that "feel good" to ask the bad feelings, so they get sexually aroused. Like people who do drugs, drink, or smoke want their "fix" when they are anxious or scared and end up getting cravings.
@@KawaiiCat2 I don't think that's the case. I think that in this context, it's the brain's way of saying "hey you might not last long, reproduce while you still can".

I've always been very into true crime. I wanted to be a homicide detective. My dad ended up murdered and I told him it was going to happen 3 days before it did. I'm still interested in the psychology of killers but I am no longer able to read as many books or watch as many documentaries as I used to after I lost my dad. He was all I had left. I'd already lost my brother and mom. I don't understand why a lot of these killers get groupies but am very aware of the phenomenon. Even Nick Cruz, the Parkland shooter, immediately got a gf from another country after being incarcerated. Chris Watts has fan girls too. It's baffling. I know a lot of women have vampire fantasies and are attracted to vampires and love vampire content. The psychology behind that is because the vampire is an all powerful and immortal being. Women are biologically attracted to powerful men. I wonder if that plays into the serial killer obsession. They think he's all powerful and they'll be the one he truly loves and doesn't harm
I’m fascinated by your comment. If you don’t feel comfortable answering, then please do not reply to my comment. But I am wondering when you referenced that you knew and you told your father before he got murdered, how did you know?
About the Vampires, I will like to add that women also find the Vampires very vicious like beasts but they feel like they can change or tame them. For example this is very common in vicious dangerous animals too, lions are usually ruthlessly barbaric when they are alone in the nature but when they meet a lioness, she tames them and do all the hunting while the male beast is now chilling and lying on the ground resting all day and only engage in a fight when other lions or dangerous animals try to attack his territory and family. Same goes with vamps I think + they want that vamps genes too and this is perfectly depicted the Twilight series where Edward is tamed and his genes are obtained so that movie series was a perfect example of female fantasy I think

It's why lots of women love rockstars no matter how gross or unbearable they are. People are drawn to the kinds of things which reflect the state of their mind. Well adjusted people aren't drawn to the negative and dark side of life.
Honestly I agree. I think all the women that are attracted to him have had moments in time where they really felt like killing someone. So that’s probably why they are drawn to him, since he actually did it and they didn’t. Just a bunch of fucked up people being drawn to other fucked up people.
I also imagine a few of them see them less as a serial killer and more of a "tortured soul". Either that or an attraction to danger, and since the serial killer is in jail there's an element of safety thus they wouldn't have to confront the dangers being with a serial killer. I'm confident most of these women would not want to actually be caught in the middle of the forest with the serial killer they're attracted to.
Some women think they can change a male serial killer or any man’s behavior. “With me, it will be different” & “All a serial killer needs is my love” kind of attitude. It’s also a woman’s form of control caused by a severe lack of self esteem.
Because women most of the time go for something that is not good for them, there is something about the toxicity that attracts them. Just like when they leave a good and as they say boring relationship for some bad guy and when that bad guy does something that is a regular trait of a bad guy they lose their sh*t and do all the drama.
I’m a woman and I sorta understand how girls can feel attracted to a “broken” guy that they can nurture back to happiness or whatever. The thing is though, I’ve only experienced that in one guy and he was really fkn sweet except he was an addict and genuinely trying to recover. I found it sort of endearing when he trusted me enough to accept my help. However a serial killer can’t be a good person no matter how much love you give them so that part of it confuses tf outa me. Women naturally gravitate to looking after people because biologically we are wired to be nurturing for when they have babies. Even women like me who don’t have any interest in starting a family will still have that psychological inclination towards nurturing rolls u know?
Yeah you nurture the poor bastard and get him sorted out then get bored of him and leave him and cheat on him anyway starting the cycle of hurt and brokenness all over again. Women play too many games and are fickle, most of you are only good for shagging that’s it!

@bogeydope3022 No, I disagree. What women desire is often based on their upbringing and how what morals and values were installed in them. If you have a woman who grew up in a bad environment where they are often disrespected and had no proper father and mother role model. It is encouraged to sleep around, not get married, do what you please and pleasure yourself, and the only men who could satisfy them is the alhpa male who slept with whos knows how many women. Then yeah you could say women naturally perfer the bad boys. However, in other parts of the world, it varies. Yeah the bad boy is assertive, attractive, confident, and arouse women more. But in the long run if they never seek to improve other parts of their life, like staying out of trouble, being loyal to their spouse, have a good moral compass, contribute to the community even if it's the small things, identify childhood traumas and perhaps seek therapy or a spiritual resolution, and just care. Not all but a lot of nice guys lack confidence, physical appearance, assertiveness, and heavily focus on simping for women out of their league. If the nice took those qualities and still comes out as a family man wanting the best of society, his community, and his family. While standing strong in his beliefs not being tempted or swayed well then why pick the bad boy.
@bogeydope3022 And if a woman really wants to be with bad boys, well then she's not the woman you should be with and you should avoid women like those again. Find a woman who wants a good man. Not a weak man, men still need to be strong physically, mentally, and spiritually. To put it simply wicked women are for wicked men and virtuous women are for virtuous men.
My ex GF told me she desired a guy because he spent 10 years in prison and had a long criminal history. She thought it was so hot, he gave her 2 kids and bounced out of her life.
I think there’s a distorted view that the serial killer is looking around for the hottest girls, essentially picking his victims based on attractiveness, so weirdly enough if you get picked it’s almost a validation your one of the hottest women in your town/state. For other women it’s the opposite, they are just fascinated and want to ask him, “why’d you it?” And try to figure out how a serial killer thinks so they can determine how to avoid become victims themselves. Most people’s favorite animals are apex predators, like lions, tigers, sharks, wolves, orcas etc... it’s a fatal attraction.
My theory is that it is a spectrum of issues affecting women, from childhood abuse, severe insecurity, self destructive tendencies, mental instability/illness, latent sociopathic tendencies themselves, fascination with the shadow, the list goes on... It's a very complex issue. Edit: I'd also add extreme compassion to the list. It's possible that some women are so compassionate, that they truly believe that there is no such thing as an evil person, only evil acts, and that you can love and nurture a person like Jeffrey Dahmer into no longer feeling the urge to commit evil acts. Of course, they would be wrong.
@@iiyyxxnn I didn't say that there are no evil women, I even included "sociopathic tendencies" in the list of reasons that a woman would be attracted to an evil man. If ever a situation arises and it has a faint similarity to these stories I’ve watched and remember...my guard is up and become instantly more vigilant of the encounter. I think the “bleeds it leads” effect has an obvious cause: We’re hard wired to pay attention to immediate threats and dangers which the media overemphasizes to exploit that tendency.

At the beginning of your video you were wondering why a lot of women seem to enjoy true crime documentaries, and as a woman it almost brings me a sense of comfort to be aware of the dangers in society. Statistically speaking, women are generally more fearful of violent crime due to the fact that in many cases of murder and assault, women are typically the victims. I guess being told from a young age to never walk anywhere alone and to always look for a possible escape route in a sketchy place has made me enjoy true crime because it almost feels as though I am learning and becoming more aware of the dangers that could await me if I put myself in the wrong situation. This is my perspective on why I think a lot of women enjoy true crime, does anyone else have a different perspective??? Excellent podcast!!!!!!
As a man, I do not fear violence and murder. I am struggling not to commit violence and murder on a daily basis. Road rage for example, or some dude giving me dirty looks.
I've always wondered about this. As a woman i am not one of those who think serial killers are attractive and i don't understand the obsession these women have. Maybe they also have murderous intentions themselves but are too afraid to act on it? I would say the bad boy schtick, but this is bad boy to the extreme. A lot of women loved ted bundy for example. How can you find someone like ted attractive knowing what he did to those poor women and children?! I just don't get it. 🤷
Most women who hookup with criminals aren't criminals themselves. The most popular theory floating around is that its just human nature for females to be attracted to men of power, whether that be a criminal or a CEO of a business or a power lifter etc.. it's also possible that some just want to be involved in the crime

There’s a lesson from this: these women are self selectively taking themselves out of the gene pool. When you start seeing somebody, throw on a serial killer documentary and ask them “would they” and then proceed to finish the relationship depending on the answer
I have a deep aversion to any woman who's infatuated or enamored with a psychopath. It's terminally sick. Loving and forgiving someone is different from being smitten by them. For me, personally, the reason I was studying Ted Bundy is because I wanted to understand my own past pain, having been a child preyed upon by an internet psychopath who impersonated someone else. He had no mercy. Not an iota. I was a child, so it was an element of gullibility and innocuousness that made him ensnare me... Most women who are attracted are extremely gullible and young to begin with. I wanted to study the physical brain of a psychopath, because not understanding how someone could act so heinously without reason could drive me mad.

But a lot of people who are violent experienced violence before which is why theirs like that

So many women love "fixing" men. For a good chunk of them, the more broken the better. Because if they "fix them" it's used as a measure of their own self worth. These guys are the most broken.

I’ve grown now (23) and realized it’s bad but it’s still with me now it’s just dulled down. I know it’s not right but I’m not sure what I can do to stop the feeling
Isn't it more that you want a guy that takes what he wants? Since bad guys do that, it is very attractive on the first look. Since there aren't enough men that can give a women what she desires without abusive behavior, she will always be attracted to the guys having at least some trades of the men she wants. No women wants a "nice guy", and only now i can completely understand that.

Serial killers are often intelligent, motivated, creative, and charismatic - tell me a woman that doesn’t look for those things in a mate?
Yes very interesting view, serial killers are charismatic
This is a myth. The average IQ of a serial killer is below the general population's average
This is it
I also imagine a few of them see them less as a serial killer and more of a "tortured soul". Either that or an attraction to danger, and since the serial killer is in jail there's an element of safety thus they wouldn't have to confront the dangers being with a serial killer. I'm confident most of these women would not want to actually be caught in the middle of the forest with the serial killer they're attracted to.

That makes sense. Thanks for the comment.

These guys are taking the wrong approach asking the questions: you can't use logic on a woman.
Smart man.

Some girls like bad boys say it however you want but the idea that there's no evil woman is nonsense
@@iiyyxxnn I didn't say that there are no evil women, I even included "sociopathic tendencies" in the list of reasons that a woman would be attracted to an evil man. I watch these shows because it teaches me how not to fall victim to predators like this. I watch and listen to how these girls were grabbed, or how they were dooped into a dangerous situation by one of these killers. I put it in the back of my mind and I take it out to the world with me. If ever a situation arises and it has a faint similarity to these stories I’ve watched and remember...my guard is up and become instantly more vigilant of the encounter. It’s actually saved me from so sketchy situations already. 💯 I’m not obsessed with the killer. I want to watch them burn like everyone else. 🤣🤣
The odds are very slim that you'll ever encounter a serial killer
@@cjnv48 You want to be prepared if it does happen though. Plus you could also get murdered by someone who isn't a serial killer as in they might be a one time murderer. When you add in the fear of rape that women have, that becomes a lot more likely and still causes hyper vigilance when in public, for some women.
Does it actually teach you how to not fall victim though? I don't watch these shows at all but over the years have had thoughts of being attacked or robbed (wondering what would I do) but have recently thought that if someone wants to get you they will because they're capable of planning better.
YES
Let's be honest, watching TV shows about killers is not likely to stop you being murdered by a sicko if you have the misfortune of encountering one in the wrong situation. A lot of these people are really good at hiding their true selves and can be extremely charming.

"Victims are mostly women". What makes you say that?
@@sociopath7541 She's wrong, men are the primary victims of violence. This is mostly about hybristophilia, sexual arousal to people who are criminals
As a man, I do not fear violence and murder. I am struggling not to commit violence and murder on a daily basis. Road rage for example, or some dude giving me dirty looks.
Women are mostly the victims in their own head. Most victims of violent crimes are overwhelmingly men
You mean sexual crimes. Men are way more likely to be the victims of violent crimes.
Its like bonnie and clyde, the dangerous lifestyle the criminal provides is a high that no drug can reproduce.
@FirePlugTV very good movie 🤣
"A good man is a very dangerous man who has that under voluntary control." -JP
Women want a powerful, dangerous man. But the ones who want a serial killer are caught up in the fantasy/hope that he will somehow love them enough to not hurt *them*.
I don't think that is their biggest problem if their fantasy is allowing them to overlook their boyfriend's hobby.

Women love drama more than actually having fun.
So a deep aversion to women, then?
There are Menendez brothers defenders, teens more specifically, who believe they should be free because their parents allegedly abused them. It blows my mind how anyone could defend people who would murder their parents. It tells me the lack of respect the newer generation has for their elders.
