Awesome! Glad it helped. I was surprised that I couldn't find any videos that broke down curve editor when I needed them, so i thought I would post one. ^____^ ... Sorry there hasn't been a part two, but the concept is the same for the rest of the body, since it's a pretty simple cycle.
Hi Beth nice tutorial, but I have to ask why you are adjusting the key handles on one side at the time. First the out handle on the first key and then in on the in handle on the last key. Wouldn't it generate the same result just to chose flat tangents on the whole curve, only faster? Because if it is the same then you can do do the whole character in one fell swoop. Select all the controllers on the character and just change all tangents to flat, done. Or am I missing something here? Btw I love that book too, a really good one.
I have a problem please, after skinning I do any pose , bones and geometry respond good , when I close Maya and reopen it I found bones are in the same pose position I left it , but the geometry lose connection with bones and return to their position before skin. Bones still colourd and if I move them the geometry do not respond. How to fix that please. Thank you very much.
+werewolf gaming it's entirely possible... I will be starting a live stream of edits to my work and new animations soon. I'll be using a different capturing software, and a better PC. so hopefully it will be better. once I get the link up here, I would appreciate you watching, and giving me feedback to make it optimal. 😊
Thank YOU SO MUCH! Made my night this tutorial, and saved me hours of work!

It's great info and a great tutorial, but the video is extremely lagging and I can't tell what you're doing or what you're describing.

That doesn't sound like anything I have ever come across... try going on 11 second club, and post the the help forum. I'm sorry. :(
if you use delete history instead of delete non deformer history it will delete your bound skin
The video is too laggy for me to see any of the changes you're making ): Either that or it's my pc?
I haven't had a problem on my end, and it's the first time I have had anyone mention lag. try updating you video card drivers.
+Beth Hicks same here your video is to laggy
