My name is Eric and I travel with my cat, “Jax” in a 2001 Chevy Fleetwood Tioga Arrow 24D Class C RV. We travel about 45 miles a day chasing 70 degrees year-round. Here are some popular questions asked:

Love it. Back in the seventies, I was semi-nomadic... I traveled back and forth across this beautiful country, between working to finance my travels. I'm now landed gentry, and travel just a bit. Thank you for taking me on your travels.

The one cool part about traveling is to meet others on the road doing the same thing and to hear their story and to share yours. It is a whole different world out there to travelers! Every day is a new adventure!

It's dark and rainy, but aren't the colors gorgeous. I'm saving all the geo data re boondocking through Oregon. When I take off, I'm starting in Oregon. I've lived here 25 years and haven't traveled much at all. Let alone in an RV. You have stopped at some lovely places along the coast. At last, a blue sky and a lovely day. Jax Austin and his school bus were really cool. He did a great job with the interior. The only minus I see is the lack of on-board holding tanks.
The choice of the Ford with the International 7.9 Diesel was a solid one. I have that same engine in my 1999 F-350. It has 380,000 + miles on it, and still runs like it's brand new. Pulls like a beast, too. Pulls my 23', 5,000 lb. travel trailer like a dream.
Glad the sun finally came out. Cloudy skies are a nice change-up, but you really need lots of that broad spectrum sunlight. It does wonders for your mood.

Skunk Cabbage! Lots of that in Juneau, Alaska forests. Found wherever it is rainy, temperate climate. The insects are pollinating the flowers. It is not know to be insect eating plant. They are in swampy, muddy areas. Great video. Travel safe
Darlingtonia State Park is not home to Skunk Cabbage, LOL. They park is completely based around Darlingtonia ( Cobra Lilys ), and they do in fact " eat " insects.

Thanks, Eric! I have been remiss in keeping up with your travels for a couple three months now. You are living my dream life. I think I may have waited too long though as my eyes might now be too bad to let me drive again. If I CAN pass my doctor' s eye tests to get my license again, I think I will use that year to get a Clas B and Tiffitu (my cat) and I will wend our way around and across the lower 48 to enjoy life, paint some tees & tags when the mood strikes me and visit all of my family and friends as we go. At 75 years young, I may just never come back. Until then and if I can't pass that test I shall continue to enjoy your videos and be grateful that I can get a bit of the vagabond experience through them. Peace.

I did a Seattle to L.A trip on Highway 101 back in the 90's so watching your travels as of late and noticing what is new and what has stayed the same has been fun. Thanks again Eric!
Really great van build out on the bus chassis. If I had it the only thing that I would have done different would be to have a wet shower/potty room. Happy trails and enjoy the ride.

Hi Eric, I have found this little place on my motorcycle travels. It's called Mitchell Caverns Natural Preserve. Located off interstate 40 mm 100 between Ludlow and Needles, CA. camping there as well. Happy trails.

Eric, I just love that you travel short distances and then give us a peek into the area. Geographically (being from the east coast originally) I'm learning a lot and making notes. :) Be safe and take care.
If you get a little farther east you can visit some primo Oregon spots. i.e.: Oregon Gardens, and Silverton Falls. I once took about a 2 mile hike and passed 6 waterfalls at Silverton Falls. I think it's Oregons largest state park.
Love the Skoolie, Could use more headroom though.

Really nice video. After you left 3 rivers heading south we passed you as we were heading to 3 Rivers just before you went past Honeyman park. We drive a little yellow chevy spark. We waved. Today is Friday the 7th and the storm has hit and the winds are really bad. Hope by now you are further south and safely out of the storm. You do a great job. Thx

#52 Hello Eric and Jax. Interesting video about Mr. Jax Austin's Motor Homes. From what was shown and said, it took a lot of hard work to rebuild the school bus. And it looks very Good! Nice work Mr. Austin. I found that Casino's are good places to stay and they offer good food, too! I tried the one arm bandit---lost!!

Oregon looks like a beautiful place. This is why I sub to people like Eric and AdamTheWoo, I'm able to see great places in America that I've got chance of seeing in real life (I live on the east coast of England) keep on traveling Eric.

Great idea to get a short bus to have a diesel! Sad that the RV industry is just now putting diesels back into class C's, but it will cost you an arm, leg, and first born child
The 7.3 Turbo Diesel is legendary and for good reason. I have had 4 of them. With it being on a school bus chassis how does it handle interstates? My Bug out Bus "Bob" was a shuttle bus converted to rv and did great on highway's. I wonder about how this bus is geared.. Did he mention his mpg? CVK
Does fairly well. It does have low gears, so the sweet spot in around 50mph

The Mrs Jaws Jr and I both ate at the Luna Sea Fish House and it is one of the best places to eat on the Oregon Coast! Also I did a really cool video of the Yachats area. Anybody who is driving through Yachats, the Luna Sea Fish House is a MUST Stop!!!

The Casino Buffet in Lincoln City and in Florence are not the best. Spirit Mountain has the best Buffet by far.
The casino in Florence isn't that great, from what I've heard. There is great food in Florence but not there.
