Pretty talented sisters even when they starting out. The bassist is smaller than her Bass at the time but now she is the tallest of the three. Very impressive talent!
Incredible to be able to see how far they have come. Their entire journey documented on youtube. That is why Warning Fans are so fiercely dedicated, anyone that takes the time to follow that journey becomes very emotionally vested in them. Especially older fans with their own children. They have thousands of proud uncles and aunts. Quite the unique story,
I discovered this band almost last year and I’m thinking in my head, ‘no way that’s the same 3 girls from that viral video’. They never cease to amaze me. 🤟🏼🎸
It would be great if you could follow-up with their live performance of "Enter Sandman" at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX from 2022. These little girls are all grown up now!
They recorded this in one take. No do overs or post-production. Alejandra had only been playing bass 2 years, and she was playing a 3/4 size Fender Mustang bass.
@@ZWQ945 ya have played bass for 20 years now. And I can sense she is young and still look much to her instrument, BUT she play better than me after 2 years and I was older learning, so big rescept to her!
I think you mean they recorded this from start to finish with no edits. They have described “messing up” and having to start over at least a couple times. I remember Pau describing that both she and Ale were silently praying that Dany didn’t mess up the solo so they didn’t have to start over again.
The Warning initially posted their early videos on TH-cam to share their progress with extended family since the files were too large to send via email. All of their earliest recordings are still available on their channel. This particular video, however, is the one that went viral, now boasting over 26 million views. Even Metallica’s guitarist, Kirk Hammett, saw it-he retweeted a post from Lollapalooza highlighting the video and commented, "The drummer kicks maximum ass!"
This is the 3 sisters doing. DPA are the first musicians in their family; their parents didn't set it up but are so supportive the sisters say the parents are the 4th and 5th members of the band. DPA never planned to form a band, realized they already played 3 perfect instruments to form a rock band, and loved the "Rock Band" video game. Mexican Jazz-Fusion Bassist Pablo Gonzalez Sarre, Ale's Bass teacher, encouraged DPA to start writing their own songs after this "Enter Sandman" cover went viral. Pablo recognized in an 8 year old Ale, just starting the bass, a profoundly gifted/driven bassist who could grow up to be one the the greatest bassists of her generation. Ale learned to play Jazz as a child because of Pablo, fell in love with Jaco Pastorius' playing, and started to play Jaco's catalog at 9. Dani's, Pau's, and Ale's parent's have been incredibly supportive from the beginning; they converted the basement into "The Warning Cave" and the sisters constantly say that without their parents' financial and emotional support they would have never succeeded. DPA's father sold his most prized possession, a limited edition BMW motorcycle, to help start financing the group, and modified Pau's drums (he's an engineer) because they were all too big for her. The parents tour with the girls, and their mother has always been heavily involved and made sure her daughters were safe, (and she likely kept other people safe from "I Only Slap Kathy" Pau).
This was a *"LIVE RECORDING"* done at their home studio ("Music Room" aka rehearsal aka home basement) called *"THE CAVE"* in Monterrey, MX. According to the sisters. At this time [2014), their father didn't know how to edit a video. To record this video for family & friends to see their progress. The sisters played the song *"LIVE".* But if they made a mistake like Pau missing a drum beat or Ale missing her cue or Dany messed up her solo. They would start over again from the beginning. They said it took a lot of takes to get it right.
@@CelcaReact Personally I love both the Teatro 2022 and the Pepsi 2023. I love the strings in Pepsi but the Teatro performance is just DPA and so is a great comparison.
The song was recorded in the Warning Cave, the studio in the basement of their parents' house. The neighbors probably hated them for it in the past and are probably proud to live next to a well-known band today ;-) They had been playing together for about a year at the time. It was already clear: A good rock band needs 5 men, or 3 girls ;-)
To quote Kirk Hammett: “the drummer kicks maximum ass!”. & she still is ‘Disciple’, ‘Automatic Sun’… or any 50some other songs 😊 (even the once she doesn’t play drums on: ‘Black Holes’, ‘Revenant’)
I heard a story that Ale is glaring at Dani throughout this because the sisters were irritated that Dani was spending so much time practicing her angry face in the mirror, and not enough time practicing the solo, and Ale wanted to make sure she didn't screw it up😂
❤️⚡🤘 I love when people take the time to look at their beginning. It puts into perspective the hard work they've done through the years to get to where they are now. Fun fact, Ale learned to play on a full sized 6 string bass (her teacher's bass). She just couldn't hold a full sized bass when she played standing up. She still has that junior to this day.
This was my first song I heard from them and it blew me away had to hear more and I went down the rabbit hole excellent reaction later my friends.❤️😎🇺🇸
Recorded in their home studio called The Warning Cave and that's still the place where many of the magic starts. My favorite story surrounding this video is Pau and Ale being upset with Dany because she spend more time practising her angry Hetfield face than her parts.

Where to go next with The Warning? If you want to see their development over the years I suggest the following: Their 2015 covers of Hysteria, by Muse. Crazy Train by Ozzy Osborne and Everlong by Foo Fighters. Recorded in front of their peers at the Liceo de Monterrey school. Each song was selected to showcase their individual skills for placement into the Berklee College of Music Summer Program. Their 2017 TedX performance at the University of Nevada. Watch the entire 18.5 minute, 3 song set, as the way they address the crowd between songs is impressive. Next, jump to their 2018 concert at Lunario, where they play their concept album, “ Queen of the Murder Scene” in its entirety for the first time. Start with the song “Dust to Dust” the order matters as a story is being told. I’ll let others make the recommendations from 2018 onward.
