- I loved Teaking a Look at APICO with you all, and so I bought it and played several hours! In this video, I want to return once again with the knowledge I have gained. This is intended to be a three-part hybrid: one part cribs tour, one part early game tips and tricks, and one part game review. Please enjoy!

You can use the blessed bees in the altar to make a prayer, I'm not gonna tell you what it does (I don't wanna spoiler anyone) but it can be quite helpful 😉
I "completed" the demo (haven't played the full game) and a thing I discovered that helped a bit with production/menuing: under the Accessibility menu there's an option called something like "Wind-up tools automatically" that automatically cranks the tool you're using as long as your mouse cursor is hovering over its menu. It's not complete automation, but at least it cuts down a bit of time since just interacting with something will automatically wind it up a little bit (also, you won't have to drag the little white lever or press the arrow keys, which was driving me insane honestly). There are also a couple of other useful options in the Accessibility menu, like "Walk through trees". The best advice in any case remains to take it easy and don't expect to keep up with production, take some days off to explore or build or organize or breed bees with a swarmer. Also, without going into spoilers, there's a way to create rain.

As somebody who's played an absoloute ton of minecraft I absoloutely see the forestry comparison. The game takes a lot of the typical stuff from modded minecraft, the inventory/chest sort button from Inventory tweaks and the guide that's common to big mods that helps guide players through the content and obviously the whole *bees* component being forestry inspired.
Briliant stuff from TNgineers and one that I'm picking up as I watch this vid :D
I have to say I really enjoying the style of this video, as someone who just wants a bit of a view of a game when things are too busy to hop into stream. I also have a personal preference for watching people who I have a pretty good feeling are more skilled at a game than I am, so this "I now have this knowledge that you will not have" is nice for me.
That being said... Tip 1: Crime. TEEAKKYY!

@@sneakyteakplays You can 1. pin menus so they stay in the same place once you open them. 2. Use the hammer on the townsfolk to put them where you want. You can actually put them inside walls if you put them 1 block to the right, so they don't move around. It can be quite handy. Also, don't make beeboxes for everybody. Later on, you'll get a beebank, which holds all the bees.
mid game tip: breed daylight into your dream bees! almost all of your bees at this point run during the day, and the product of dream bees is really good for making money, so you want it running almost all the time. if you make them function during the day you can have the rest of your flock work too
Or just get better bees like the Jurassic bee. It's a waste of time to finagle with traits on lower tier bees.
if you only have one menu open, shift clicking in either that or your inventory automatically sets the other thing to the target, super fast + easy
you can also always press esc to close extra menus
I guess one more tiny QoL tip: If you press escape, it will close the window you have currently highlighted. I think you can just mouse over what you wanna close and press escape?
I haven't decided if I have the patience for this yet. I love the whole thing but I think I've started Forestry three times in my life and it's just fizzled out. I just want to finish one game at one point in my life. :P
I actually clocked the forestry mod influence. The bee breeding is incredibbly similar. Beelieve it on not, menuing in modded minecraft is as bad or worse than this.
They had a sign thanking Sir Sengir, we saw it in the first video. That's the creator of Forestry.
