Another great addition to your model history collection. What an amazing thing to do, getting the dies made after all these years. Hope the project is successful. I never had any of the Aurora monster kits, as Aurora went out of business about the same time I was getting into modelling, and monsters were not really my subject. That Monster Scenes book is really expensive now - they need to do another print run, because I would buy one at a reasonable price.
Careful. Those cutters are very sharp. There are 3 or 4 types. Now Tamiya is issuing them with different coloured handles for some reason. They retail $ 45 to $ 50 Canadian dollars.
A little more on the Metaluna Mutant... there was a run of solid resin Mutant kits made. I don’t remember how many. But the amount made was suppose to be it, no more. Years later we all start to see styrene plastic ones being made and sold. Just a little more info on that part of your story. 👍
Great intro-- Just a thought--For the Florida weather you're having currently (and the TARBIS being not that big), have you thought about ditching the Led lights your using for building, and substituting regular incandescent bulbs that throw a little heat with the light? Possibly, if you left them on for a hour, they might warm the place up a bit. Just a thought.
Godzilla is not now, nor ever has been, a pinko. Unless the sale of those masters was absolutely on the up and up with accompanying paperwork, whomever is producing the kits could have a big legal headache. Whomever currently owns the Aurora IP for the relevant product line from that period could potentially claim a theft of trade secrets.

Those Tamiya nippers are great I bought them for my first kit. Just don’t try to get too close or else you get a white stress make.
Great story! Nice to see these patterns come to life! Thanks for sharing the story! Keep 'em coming!
In a time of crazy i appreciate your channel thumbs up stay awesome have a great day model builder's 😀.
Being a guy that works with whatever is at hand, I've been using a cuticle cutter I found in a drawer.
With the first few seconds of the opening it sounded like we were going to get a Tale From The Dark Side. Very ominous.

Thanks.
What would I do if I won the Mega Millions? Restore or make new molds of our favorite model kits!!
Hope you like the Tamiya sprue cutters, I love mine.
That "Giant Monster" kit IMHO looks less like Godzilla and almost looks more like Gorgonsaurus.
Cutters work well. :) Does anyone know if that Monster Scenes book is available??
12 Degrees in Oshkosh Wisconsin .P.S. I know a story about a man named Jed . It's great having coffee with you .
