As I am still riding school student, I don't seek to go fast, but safe. Anyway, all that comes from you, helps me soo, much.
Great advice !!! Also because of the knowledge I’ve gained from watching your videos I passed the BRC at total control last month and I also had my first track day at NYST in New York!! Absolutely loved my track experience 🤙🏼
Appreciate the clear frank advice and also the recommendation to go practice emergency stopping BEFORE a ride. No kidding, I just got my M1 a few weeks ago and every time I practice this (With considerable success) I’m building healthy confidence. No kidding, I was scared *hitless to pick up a new bike and ride it for the first time from SD BMW at dusk back to Riverside. Alberto & Holm were freaking awesome and I didn’t tell them but they could probably tell. 😅 anyway, all went well (It’s the same demo triple black F900 XR you reviewed). You are so right, when we get proficient at safe stopping, safe speed is less intimidating. Cheers and looking forward to receiving your book Master Riding Program and Total Control by Lee Parks. 👊🏻
on my first lesson after 8 years without riding the instructor challenged me to brake really hard. Only when I really started to brake in a proper manner I realized how far from the bike's limits I was. The boost of confidence I received from testing how good the ABS is and that in critical conditions (in Italy basically every single day) even if the rear wheel get off the ground a bit was immense.
At the same time I learned discovered your content and started to practice more and more, my riding changed so much and I've never been so enthusiast to ride like today. Watching your videos about counter sterring made my rides in the twisties so much easier and safer!
Thanks a lot! I love riding my RS660 thanks to your videos, the instructors I meet and the time practicing!
This was a great video, thank you! 😊
Great advice and reminder. It’s easy to forget the feel and familiarity of a hard braking especially if you don’t ride regularly hence you lose confidence. Awesome video as usual.
I just did figure-8 and stop drills in a parking lot after watching another of your videos this afternoon. It was actually more fun than I expected, as seeing that 450 pound pig pirouette was VERY satisfying.
Thanks again for everything, sir!
Good info thanks for the info😊
Thanks so much 👌
I really like your videos and mindset. I picked up a lot and do practice. Question to this video recording: Is it mirrored? The hand you show how to squeeze is on the right...
I think there are many riders that don't even Think about stopping ; they just twist that throttle to enjoy the euphoria of speed.
That’s my case!!
I hope you feel good about sharing these life-saving tips for free. You deserve it! You should feel awesome! God bless you, man!😎
When are you grabbing the clutch?
Thank you 😂
I really utilize both brakes and it definitely helps. Front takes the brunt of stopping but I use the rear as well. I realized I was good at stopping when I was able to stop from 60 and stop on the line for a light without ABS
Not enough beer
You would be really overbreaking to flip the bike
If you dont use the rear brake at the same time, you can easily end up flipping the bike
This might actually be the dumbest comment I've ever seen 😂
