Hey Uba, Thanks! Glad you like the tutorial! If you'd like to take this a step further and have a complete step by step approach in learning Rhino and Grasshopper that includes our personal coaching, you may want to check out our Rhino for Architects 2.0 Course! Please reach out and send me an email at dusan@howtorhino.com if you're interested and I'll tell you a lot more about it there and share the course platform with you as well! Cheers! :)
where did you find the measurements for the Barcelona pavilion to model your piece on? I'm making a physical model and need exact dimensions of the floorplan
I don’t find many tabs like you, including car directions and the pink ribbon, so is there a video explaining how to format the interface like you? I use 6 rhino Thank you
If you right-click an empty space on the toolbar you'll see the "Show Toolbar" drop-down menu where you'll find all the available toolbars. Just check the one you like and it will appear. The car thing is in a toolbar called Standard Toolbar Group. For the pink toolbar, this is a plugin called T-Spline, it doesn't come with Rhino, and there is no version for Rhino 6 or newer, because AutoDesk, the owner of the plugin killed it. But in Rhino 7 they created a replacement called SubD. The T-Spline and SubD are tools for using polygon modeling inside Rhino, a very powerful feature.
I have a question for those who are familiar with more than one software, for example, rhino and perhaps 3ds max. why would one want to model something like this in rhino as opposed to 3ds max? seems like either organic modeling and parametric design is where rhino shines. but for something like this pavilion, it feels very unnatural. most of the tricks used here are workarounds to make up for the software's limitations. I guess 3ds max is better suited for faster, more precise, and more intuitive poly editing or sub-d modeling, no?

You can download the 2D AutoCAD drawing from the bibliocad website, just create a free account, and search for Barcelona pavilion 2d
Thanks Miled :)

Exactly :D
It says:
"Boolean difference in progress... Press Esc to cancel
Boolean difference failed."
Any idea way ?
solved it!! basically you have to increase the Z axes grid size as if it is too small it will troubleshoot
LOL I just learned about this pavilion in arch history III
Nice
Thanks! :)
Super 🤩👍
Thanks Gokul!
Amazing
Thanks! :)
Pretty Good !
Thanks Luis! :)

You're welcome :D

hi there, how are you selecting inside the lines when you do a curved boolean? my rhino only lets me select the lines?
You need to activate the command called CurveBoolean, then select the lines, then click enter, and then click inside
u r great
Thanks Paul :D
Do not misunderstand me but I can do this stairs in 45 seconds at Sketchup.
I can do them in 15 seconds in Rhino :D The tutorial wasn't exactly the fastest way
@@HowtoRhino is there a better tutorial for stairs that you have? thanks
@@HowtoRhino drawing the stair section first and then extruding them is the fastest way or anything else?
