    Great job Dane! You are a great teacher and loved learning the tip of getting a straight edge container to wipe off excess buttercream...makes so much more sense than trying to wipe it on a piece of parchment paper or another bowl and also the finger placement on the cake comb (important details). Will definitely try this technique as it looks so beautiful. Thanks Jemma for your Tuesday tips!!! Please keep them coming.

      Jennifer pye haha you can totally be our buttercream taster! To get perfectly smooth buttercream there will always be a bit of excess that has to come off, which we factor in and is generally very minimal; we do our best at Crumbs to keep wastage to a minimum, and it’s something we’re constantly working on (if that means I have to eat the remaining icing then so be it 🤪)

    • @CupcakeJemma
      @CupcakeJemma  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Tomi I don't know if anyone makes much bigger ones than the turntable Dane is using here but as long as you're using a decent quality cake board and a bit of non-slip matting to hold it in place it doesn't matter if the turntable is smaller than the cake.

  • @RebekahMartinModernJaneAusten
    @RebekahMartinModernJaneAusten 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2
