There is something beautifully poetic about your land’s regrowth coinciding with your own life journey of healing and health ❤ It’s almost as if fate brought you to the land knowing how you would need one another
Hi Theo, and Bee , my heart goes out to you both. It’s so sad to see your property getting all burnt up and destroyed but the best thing is you both are not hurt nor are your animals and you can redo your property the way you want it , sometimes life changes for ever , I’ve shared with you on 17 September 2018. I was in a workplace accident and I have fractured skull brain damage 550 mm of my back fused up with two titanium rods 15 multiple breaks in my ribs left lung exploded with 6 blood clots in they were going to remove my lung , was in a coma for 29 days died 3 , 7 more operations to try to save my right leg. The last one was the ninth operation to remove it. My right hand was under a truck wheel for an hour and a half, and now we’re going to remove my fingers , had to learn to eat drink and talk again, but the good news I was independent at three months released from hospital for months one week and one day. Had to have three psych tests to get my car license back and finally I got my motorbike license back so I ride a Canam Ryker 900 so we all can be grateful, I’m still alive you’re still alive things have changed, but you just gotta move on and live your life to the max, Cliff from Logan City, Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺 I’m on the big island 🏝️
Dear sweet Bee, I so appreciate the love and care you give to the animals. I am so sorry about Skye, that was a hard time for you. I know Matilde will have the same loving care when it is her time, too. All of your animals get to live their lives feeling safe and well loved--even if Mother Nature challenges you. You've created a sweet family there on Paradise Mountain. 💗
I completely understand the trauma of what was lost on Miracle Mountain. I'm an American. The trauma of what was just lost here is immeasurable. My heart is broken and terrified of what is to come. I hope our roots are deep enough too survive.
thats the challenge in setting up new systems in nature- balancing it so it melts into the existing system in a balanced way. you're in the season of figuring out the balance that meets your wants and needs and the needs of the local wildlife. excited to see how this works over time!
Good job, you two, on the tree cutting, clearing, stacking, & burning. Very hard to let go when we lose a pet. So sorry. Big hugs. I lost two pets last month. Very traumatic. They each had their own sweet, mischievous personalities. I miss them so much.
It's so easy to beat yourself up over your animals, but the best we can do is love and care for them, and that's enough. Some don't have that. Someone wise said to me, it's painful losing an animal friend, but it also makes room to give another animal the opportunity for a wonderful life.
Bee, I’m very sorry that you lost one of your goats. Animals are very important to me too and I understand your difficulty and pain in processing the grief because I would feel the same way. However, as Theo said in this episode, there’s no other choice but to keep on pushing forward.
Bless you, when you were talking about sky, and the other goats it made me cry. My heart goes out to you. Thank you for being such a good Mum to the animals.😀😺
Animals teach us the importance of letting go and living to the full in the moment. Enjoy the here and now. What a wonderful place you are living on and please be happy you have natural wildlife sharing it.... what an honour to have an otter
That saw cuts like butter. You’re right about taking care of your back or suffer the consequences later. Love the optimism you kids have. Take care of each other and God bless.
Bea, I'm so sorry for your loses. You have to know you did everything you could to help Sky. This wasn't on you. I believe the vet didn't and couldn't figure out what to do. It is hard to lose our animals, pets, they are part of the family. You guys definitely made your family full with the animals you have. This process also gave you answers so you can handle it next time. Hugs and love you guys. Thanks for sharing.
Bee you are the best Goat mama😊. They live a fantastic life on the farm. As long as they don’t suffer let Mathilda be, and then when the time comes you might have to make a hard desicion. Enjoy the nice weather!
Another full few days on Miracle Mountain but what a difference. You both work so hard, you are a credit to your generation. It was sad to hear about Sky. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but we don’t know everything and I’m sure you did your very best. Good luck with the pond and the otter! Take care, keep safe. 💕 Dorset, UK
Need a home saw mill to mill the big logs. so when you start to work on the apartment you will have timbers that you can use. Or you can cut slabs to sell. As they also fetch a good price.
Oh, I am sorry to hear about the goatals Bea...it is easy to see how much you love your animals. they do become part of your family and it is a hard loss to bear when their time comes. Take care of each other and - I know its a cliche but time does heal and at east you can take comfort in knowing that you have given ALL your animals the best life they could ever have.xx
Theo, does your area have otter relocation services? In the USA this service is available in nearly every state. There are also steps you can take to discourage them from your property. You can use pepper spray, citronella oils & moth balls, ammonia & sound machines as a deterrent. They also dislike geraniums, lavender, peppermint, and garlic. Good luck in finding a resolution!❤❤
I try to think of it this way and I’ve lost a lot of animals in my 68 years cats and dogs. When you get another animal you will be giving them that beautiful life that you had given the animal that had passed and that’s a blessing to that new animal and you will love them just as much.
Sorry about your goat, and that the other is showing signs of cancer. Bee, you are such a wonderful pet mom. The progress you guys make is amazing. Hugs from 🇨🇦
Always hard to lose our fur family. Those goats have the best life with you on the mountain. You may think of getting a young goat or two. Older animals often get more "spark" with young ones around and live longer I find and those two beautiful old ladies can teach them to be as amazing as they are. Sending love to the whole miracle mountain family!♥
Bea and Theo, I commend you so highly for the love, nurturing and exceptional care you give your animals. It makes me so happy and renews my faith in humans who generally could do a lot better caring for animals.❤
Beautiful lifetime project….you are amazing stewards of this wonderful mountain forest. You are creating your legacy for generations to come. Enjoy the journey you lovely people ❤❤
Hi guys. It’s devastating what happened to Skye. I’m soo sorry she wasn’t diagnosed in time. She was so lucky to part of your family. You both are wonderful kind caring human beings. Take care. Xxx
My heart aches for your loss. As busy as you two are your animal family comes first. I believe you did all anyone could, but it does not change the end. I know Skye was the best loved goat ever. I know you two will care for and protect more animals in the future. But for now, we grieve your loss. God bless you two and everyone that shares your pain.
Hi you two....love your videos, been following you for years. Having an otter is great but it will gradually eat its way through most of your fish , frogs and toads. Try and catch it and let it go a long way away. Love to you both. Cynth and Dave. Norwich uk. X x x
Bee, you are doing the best you are capable to! More then people who see them just as livestock or herd animals! They have a bond to you that is clearly seen, and that is the most special life quality you can gift them!! Well done! Keep going!!
Theo, have you thought about using a back brace to support your back? It really helps my husband’s back when he’s using the chainsaw, trimmer, etc! I hope this helps you and your back!♥️ We love to watch you both so much, and we have for years! You are both so amazing!♥️
So sorry to hear about little Skye. Hang in there! However, I'm so glad that you have a fresh water otter. Here in Canada we love our otters (both fresh water and the big salt water otters).
I'm so sorry to hear of you loss and that it was so quickly after losing a chicken as well. What a blessing for Matilde that you are able to give her a beautiful life even if you are not able to slow the disease process.
Oh Bee, I'm so sorry for your loss. Of course I've noticed you only had two goats, but figured you would tell us when you were ready. I so admire how you love and care for your animal family. I'm 70 and was unable to have children, so my furry babies are my little ones. They give us everything and ask for so little in return. I get it, I just lost my sweet Jessie, he was the last kitty that was with us when my husband was alive. In fact it was my husband's cat, Jessie hated me. Well maybe not hate, but wanted nothing to do with me. When my husband passed (2018) Jessie clung to me, he was heartbroken. We developed such a tight bond, he was my Jessie boy. I miss his dearly. However, when I close my eyes I can see him reunited with his dad. That gives me much joy. Sending you love and oodles of virtual hugs. ❤❤❤❤🤗🤗🤗🤗🙏🙏🙏🙏
From America life in Portugal is looking very good right now! So sorry for the loss of your goat. Our critters are family members and it hurts to lose them. Just lost my beloved cat a month ago to cancer. I still cry every day and probably will for months. RIP Micah. 💔
Oh what a shame. Especially when it could have been prevented if treated properly and you tried SO hard to get a diagnosis. They are working animals that pay their way in clearing things to reduce fire danger. But congratulations to you both on a LOT of hard work. Yes, a BIG woodshed with garage area for some of the work vehicles so they'll be protected from the elements and not get in Theo's way in the workshop. Best wishes for a good week
I'm so sorry for the difficult loss of Skye and your chicken. You do give these rescue animals the best life possible. My mother always said it was the hardest part of farming, when you lose an animal. However she also said it was all about birth and death, regrowth of the land etc. and like you she rescued and gave them everything they needed. I believe at one point on your previous property you expressed a desire to rescue goats and donkeys and if that is in your future, thank you for your caring and love. In a cruel world they need people like you to come to their aid. Even though you lost part of your little family, you gave them everything and you are kind people.
I’ve been following the both of you since you moved to Portugal and even share your adventures, successes, and tribulations to my husband about my “friends” in Portugal. I’ve joined you several times in tears with your losses and I just want you to know you are never alone! We are here with you in spirit, being inspired by you and cheering you on! 💕
Your fur babies are so lucky to have you guys. Matilda lived the best life, and you spent her last moments with her, I think that is what counts. You tried everything and did your best. Be happy knowing she and all your babies know they are loved ❤
I'm so sorry about losing your Sky. It is very hard when you've tried and tried and you lose them anyway. I just lost my FIV+ kitty. Hugs to you both. But you all are claiming your mountain for your selves. Nothing stays the same even tho the damage was great it will open up you to try new things. You might even open up the burned area to let select people come and cut wood for their winter, either free wood if they will pile the brush for you or charge them a price for them cutting it. Hi, Bee and Theo. I’m sorry about losing Sky, Bee😔 Good job on cleaning up that tree. I hope that you catch the otter so that you can re-home it away from your fish. Take care… see you next week❤️❤️
You can be pretty sure that the otter will find the pond. It is another food larder. I would ensure that your hens are completely secure too. I watched the tv programme you were on in Canada and you were vegetarian then. Is that not the case now you are stocking fish and have a fishing rod? I hope you find a way of reconciling having all the wildlife that must visit your land which is a real privilege and makes your property pretty special and having domestic livestock. Sorry to hear about Skye.
Hi my fellow Brummies. Bee you are looking fab your natural hair colour coming through suits you much better my lovely. I think you are both Amazing try not to dwell on the past too much guys you have each other. I think you’re doing great. Xxx
I just wonder where that otter came from? LOL It is very hard to lose the animals we care for so deeply. It's even harder when it feels so unnecessary...hugs♥♥♥
We hope you enjoyed our video, please subscribe if you haven't already and give the video a thumbs up! Thanks for watching :)
Your animals are so lucky to have such caring humans looking after them ❤ sending love guys!
Giving the girls their best goat life is your greatest gift to them.
There is something beautifully poetic about your land’s regrowth coinciding with your own life journey of healing and health ❤ It’s almost as if fate brought you to the land knowing how you would need one another

So sorry to hear about Skye. I know how much you love your goaties. Take comfort from the fact that you give them a great life 🐐🥰
Gosto de acompanhar famílias activas e empenhadas em projectos pela Natureza. Esta, The Scotters e Newbys são os meus preferidos de domingo 👏👏👏👏
Oh, Bea, I’m so sorry for the loss of your little goat. But I love the way you love your animals. It shows in the way you talk to them and about them.
I'm so sorry about the loss of your goat Sky, you take such care of them and have given them so much love.
Your fur babies are so lucky to have you guys. Matilda lived the best life, and you spent her last moments with her, I think that is what counts. You tried everything and did your best. Be happy knowing she and all your babies know they are loved ❤
You need to get some Bentonite clay pond sealer.great stuff!
Bee you are such a kind, caring human. ❤️🙏🏽
Very busy video. I can see how much you love your land. Thanks for sharing your journey.❤️🇨🇦
I know you'll figure it out. The wood shed will be a real help!
Your hair is so cute today . T shirt weather ids fantastic.
Thank you ☺️
We had a large pond. A otter ate all the fish and then moved on. I would get a large live catch cage.
We echo the previous commenter. It's always gut wrenching when you lose a pet as we have. They are a part of your family. Providing them a wonderful environment gives them a proper quality of life. And you guys are doing just that. I want to ask you about the music in this video, Who is the artist ? The score in this video is so well done. As always, Great Musical choices guys. Sending you all much love ❤ Jim, Harriet and Yuki Richmond, Va.
Suggestion...if you use bright colored floats on a sinker line and wind chimes you may scare that little crutter off ( I use old CDs with a hole and swivel on 200# test line on a tree limb for the wind chimes)
❤making every day the best day you can is wonderful moving forward✨🙏🙂
Good that the fish are still in the pond! Sorry to hear about your goat
So sorry to hear your goat and I know the feeling about your back too cutting wood!
I use a back brace and that sure helps me on the bending over. Other people think their mancho and don't want to use them but in long term it will pay off from injuries. You two are doing a great job of clearing up the property. Good luck to transferring that otter
😢 Stay strong. I really Enjoy watching the progress.
I love the way you love your animals. You are so sweet. I enjoy spending time with you two. 💕
Bee…Your hair looks Soooo CUTE with the 2 buns on top…I love it!🥰
You have given the goats a good life. They were older when you got them.
Always an absolute pleasure❤
Sending love and hugs from Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I admire what you two are doing.❤
Hi, Bee and Theo. I’m sorry about losing Sky, Bee😔
Good job on cleaning up that tree. I hope that you catch the otter so that you can re-home it away from your fish. Take care… see you next week❤️❤️
Sorry about your goaty. I too have pet goats. It’s was hard to lose the oldest one. She was our first. Big hugs dear Bea! 🤗💖
Bee your hair looks beautiful 😍I'm so sorry for your loss. We just lost our pig and it hurts.
Otters make lovely pets…. hehehe there is a young man, I think in Japan, that has a pair of them. And he has a fun TH-cam channel
Hi my fellow Brummies. Bee you are looking fab your natural hair colour coming through suits you much better my lovely. I think you are both Amazing try not to dwell on the past too much guys you have each other. I think you’re doing great. Xxx
What a heavenly spot you have there. 🥰
