Be Drastic, study the tree until you understand the for, and clip off what you don’t like 3. be patient, it’s gonna luck ugly at times in the beginning, but your happy becaue you have the vision of what it will grow into 4. When in doubt, cut off less, not more. 5. Don’t worry about making a mistake. Even if you cut off too much, it will grow back and give you more options to design it.

This is actually a popular landscaping tree because it is used to replace the American stately elm because of the Dutch elm disease. Try another nursery...a place like Home depot. BH will offer elm bonsai ready for shipping by Thanksgiving. A perfect gift!

Try Satsuki azaleas becuse leaves and flowers are more to scale.
