Because the legendary...Wing Chun inventor is Shaolin successor And Wing Chun is not invented in the Shaolin ...so basically ,the Shaolin monks do not know Wing Chun...

不是少林功夫没落，詠春拳本是出自少林。
根據傳說,原因卻是相反的,是因為有少林的不肖子弟(卻是高手)為惡,所以同是少林傳人的詠春祖師,才迫於情勢,創造一套柔軟為主,快速短打,的殺人秘技,用以在重要關頭,克制少林功夫中,主要大開大合,剛猛陽烈的招式!!切記,它只是傳說,別太認真,雖然此傳說,比較合理!詠春本身只有(全是)短打的殺招,全打死亡要害,系統中沒有其餘的東西,例如長攻,多類多方防守,多類多方攻擊(只有中線中路的攻守),而中國功夫中絕大多數,都沒有似詠春的如此"簡陋"的現象!(所以傳說才合理,詠春是殺人破敵的秘技絕招,是詠春祖師一整套功夫中的獨立一少部份)
