Hello thanks for the videos, I am one of other people who are able to understand the topic easily with your help. I was wondering if you were able to make videos on HL topic please it would be really helpful
hello! thank you for your videos, I was the top student in biology but chose physics instead because I found it more interesting, thank you for reminding me of how fun physics is. could you perhaps do a video about topic 10: fields?
@@AndyMasley sounds great! i have a few more questions: do you think the hl material will be done before the exams 2022? and do you have a patreon accountt?
My goal is to at least have most HL videos done before the 2022 exams, hopefully all! And I have a Patreon now! Had made this a while ago but didn't advertise it, can link it on the channel now! Thank you so much :) www.patreon.com/andymasley
I can see the experiment shows that there is/are some denser particle(s) in the atoms, but I don’t understand why it proves that the denser part is in the center of the pudding.
Hello! I am currently studying for May 22 exams and was just wondering if the units are complete? I know that a couple of videos are missing from Unit 7: Atomic, Nuclear, and Particle Physics, but I wanted to know if maybe another Unit was missing a couple of videos or subtopics. I also wanted to take the time to thank you for all of your videos; they are the reason I might not fail physics haha
@@AndyMasley Thank you for your response, I really appreciate it!! I completely understand, this year has been hectic for many of us!! Regardless thank you for all of your work!!
I'm sceptical that the foil could be only single digits of atoms thick and even exist. Rutherford's 1911 paper quotes 0.00004 cm thickness for the foil, which would correspond to about 1400 atoms thick. Still extremely thin, but a little more realistic.
This is pretty cool. Really liked the drawings, and the experiment made intuitive sense.
Its finally you who nailed it! No doubts now.
i've seen so many vids trying to understand this, but this was the one!good job!
Same here. Thanks Sir for the unusual and meticulous explanation/\
Hi andy, your videos are crazy good and probably the best in the internet for IB physics, thank you very much for posting them.
Still waiting for the day this legend will start uploading HL content 🙏
Had a pretty busy last few months but hoping to make videos again soon!
@@AndyMasley HE HAS NOTICED ME! Are the HL videos next?
@@as9049 Gotta finish 7.3 and 8.2 and HL after that!
@@AndyMasley I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very interesting concept but that plum pudding looks quite unappetizing so frankly I'm glad I'm not surrounded by tiny versions of it lol
bro this is a great channel thank you!
Thank you for this video!! This was so helpful for my modern physics class! :) I hope you make more videos in the future!
*me who has been stressing cause this wouldnt stick in my head* thank you kind sir I actually understand it now
So good to hear!
Thank you Sir. This was so well explained 🎉
Please make a video on Calculus. waiting
Andy Masley?? More like Andy Master of the ib physics :)
I've been SAYING
please make more videos, those are so interesting!

Thanks so much for the kind words, it brightened my day! I'm still working on finishing the SL material but will move onto HL after!

Hey, could you please do some of the HL topics too? Thanks a lot!
Working on it! Animating the videos takes a while so I still need to complete the SL lectures.
Your videos are really awesome would you mind doing some videos on topic 9 Wave phenomenon?

is the setup you have shown was the original experimental setup by Geiger and Marsden and was it performed in the year 1911 only ??
really good, thank you
where did bro go 😔
:( Sorry fam

All subtopics are complete except 7.3 and 8.2 (climate models). I wanted to complete them but the year got really busy

Hey , is there any possibilities that you continue making videos?
I can't find better teacher than you.
I'm starting to think that HL vids won't be up by May 2022 exams :(
Been a busy year sorry fam :(

I'm probably the only one who's watching these videos AFTER completing IB. I so badly miss the IB days. High school should have lasted for more time.
I've always heard of this as the Rutherford gold foil experiment... Another example of a prof taking credit for his students' work?
