Love this Steve!! A great reminder to be patient and go slow, but also leading them through their fear and gaining their trust. A lot of what you taught in this can be applied to anything in training
Love this! Makes me so happy cause this is actually how I teach dogs to bike with me. They all get it figured out pretty fast and its not long til they love it!

Great video! And, like another commenter asked about 5 months ago, what do you do if the dog sees another dog or a person and lunges at them?
I recommend workingbon reactivity prior to doing biking exercise and if your desperate, find a place to go that has little to no distractions

So what do you do if your dog doesn't warm up to the bike as quickly as Billy did? My guy is good when I walk with the bike and on the bike but as soon as I pedal he nips at my arms and legs.

Hi @Trevor Hawkins I am also looking at this for my GSP. Did you get one? Do you use a harness with it or a collar? How safe do you feel turning left? How about distractions like bunnies?
Jennifer Wasylenko I ended up getting an attachment called Walky Dog pro off of Amazon for like 60 dollars. I use a harness since he basically pulls me and I don’t pedal much lol. With the one I got it has a built in bungee so when the dog pulls or lunges at animals it doesn’t jerk you while you’re riding. It works great!

I just bought the bike attachment. My dog lunges at other dogs on walks. Will he be able to pull the bike out from under me? Once he gets a rhythm, will he even try to lunge? I’m trying figure this all out lol
I saw another video regarding biking w a dog and they referenced leash manners. Leash manners have to come first. If this we were me and my dog, I would have a gentle leader collar on her as well as a secondary measure.
How would you respond if they see another dog and start pulling/barking?
I have this problem with my dog. I keep her attached to the back of my bike on her harness but I also have a head collar on her and a very lightweight leash hooked to it that I hold while I’m biking in case she cases after something. She doesn’t like to pull against the head collar.
i normally dont find any dogs cute just by seeing them, but that one is so cute, so submissive just aaaaaaaaah

i use a collar, but that is because my dog is properly trained. he wont go after other dogs/people....stays by my side at all times when i take him out cycling with me.

I'm not sure about sounding like him but I can definitely eat like him (if i allow myself)
