Here are some self-imposed challenges you can do to make a Subnautica run more interesting: 1) Vegetarian diet (and nutrient bars are probably made of bugs or something, don't eat them either) 2) Make a base that has every buildable piece, module, and furniture in it 3) Never attack an animal with a weapon or put one in a bioreactor 4) Never pilot a vehicle besides the seaglide 5) Obtain every databank entry, achievement, and blueprint in the game 6) Hatch one of each type of egg, and all five cuddlefish eggs 7) Harvest a purple pinecone On my last run I did all of these at once.
I made a base that allows one to walk from the surface to the primary containment facility. th-cam.com/video/t8Rh8hec80Q/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gWDuJbX8wEOXowEz
It's "The Martian" from Andy Weir. Great book, great movie. They made the movie more about the feelings and thoughts of the survivor, the book is more about the science and technology aspect. Love both
Hey Zak, Good to see you branching out a bit. I mean, TLD is a great game, but there are others. Keep up the good work! Oh, and something I just noticed: none of the animals on 4546B have visible gill slits, so they cannot be real fish.
It's great to meet you Zak, I'm new to your channel but this was an instant subscription ( just add water). Ahh, Dad jokes! As every other commenter has already said, it would be great to see you do a series of Subnautica. I agree completely... I myself love this game and I can tell you do as well. Take care, stay hydrated.
I love Subnautica but it's with this game I discovered I have a deep fear of water where I can't easily see the bottom. Just endless water around me? No thanks!!
Awesome! No tea, but you can have coffee eventually :) On a first blind playthrough, the survival elements are there(you have to figure out how to get food/water before you run out) but it quickly becomes a "survival" game in theme only. Although there is the constant threat of running out of oxygen...
A Subnautica series would be indeed great, you make any game ye play so relaxing ! Tho at some point in this video I thought there was an enormous sea beast approachin' but it was just you clearin' yer throat ahaghagsjs made me jump for a sec
Yes!!!! My favorite streamer playing my favorite game. For me it’s Subnautica #1. TLD #2 Btw Below Zero is very good, more of the same, which is fine by me
Ah, since I just read you wouldn't mind game related tips: there is a way better option for water you should check out, so you can leave the poor bladderfish alone. :) You already have the recipe, just look it up in the fabricator.
Ohh yay subnautica! Looking forward if you decide to continue this. Are you looking for advice from the comments? Or trying to stay as blind as possible?
As much as I love the game I don’t think it’s a survival game simply because surviving isn’t that important if when you die you come right back. Sure it’s annoying and you do try to survive but if you die it isn’t that big of a deal your stuff doesn’t even despawn like in Minecraft if you aren’t fast enough.
@@Zaknafein As far as difficult survival goes, I'd say Ark takes the cake. It isn't quite as polished as TLD, but the sheer difficulty and subsequent sense of satisfaction at conquering the island are second to none.

Finally! It's long overdue for a survival gamer to miss this masterpiece.
One might say it's The Long Dark of the ocean!
Yes subnautica series please! A switch from the long dark every once in a while would be really nice imo :)
ooooo i'm super excited for this!!!!! your relaxed commentary is PERFECT for subnautica.

Yeah both were good, but I preferred the book. The narrative is great!
Highly recommend the audio book voiced by RC Bray if that’s your thing. Definitely one of my favorites
Daaaaaang already 200 over 10'000!
I loved that scenery. Very vibrant and beautiful. Some of those fish look scary! LOL

Great vid. Would like a series for sure.
a series of this would be amazing.
love your videos, they are so relaxing and entertaining ^^

Please keep the content coming. You are the best
ahh no way youre playing this lol ive been playing this so much lately, and i love your videos for TLD, im gonna watch this whole thing
Hope you continue this series. Really enjoying your gameplay.
great video Zak. lots of love my friend

This game is great! :) one of my favorites actually!. If you press (i think) F6 then you'll hide the scuba-gear graphics at the edges on the screen.
Love the vid Zak, thanks for another great upload 👍👍👍🇳🇴
I'm so excited as I played this to death before I found TLD hope you love it as much as I do 🥰
ohh im so excited for you to play this!!
Such fun watching this! You trying to do science at angry fish made me laugh out loud. I would love to see you continue this run for sure.
Hope you play this again! Love TLD and subnautica both, and really enjoyed watching this playthrough ☺️

The game looks fun but having seen footage of later game, it looks just terrifying !!!
Tld and subnautica my favorite games
Really great!
You didn't start the video with "Hello, my fellow Divers."
Missed opportunity!
Haha or... fellow surdivers
Ohh yay subnautica! Looking forward if you decide to continue this. Are you looking for advice from the comments? Or trying to stay as blind as possible?
I have played it before, so since its not blind per se I dont mind advice - but not on map stuff like locations or where to go :)
As a fellow TLD player I suggest you try mods that increase the survival aspect of Subnautica, especially the Deathrun mod.
I'M SO EXCITED! SUBNAUTICA IS AMAZING. Can't wait for Subnautica Below Zero too

Hardcore mode has permadeath. However, the only survival aspect that is much more than an annoyance is oxygen.
A "Subnautica" veteran crashes into Planet 4546B...again. How will he fare this time?;)
this game needs item stacking so badly in this state its frustrating
Go back to green hell. I really enjoyed that video
have you tried green hell
I have. You can see it here: th-cam.com/video/tnr_nm2aNUM/w-d-xo.html
@@Zaknafein ill check it out ,thanks
I like subnautica but I just don’t like base building. After I had to start building a base I kinda gave up
man i went to see your pt.2 only to be met by no video because this is a new video ugh
Hope to make pt2 soon!
@@Zaknafein I was only halfway thru when I commented, I'll be waiting 😪
will you play ark survival evolved or dont starve together ??
I tried Dont Starve once. While it was interesting, it wasnt quite my style. I have seen Ark and it also looked very different. Maybe one day.
@@Zaknafein As far as difficult survival goes, I'd say Ark takes the cake. It isn't quite as polished as TLD, but the sheer difficulty and subsequent sense of satisfaction at conquering the island are second to none.
Well Long Dark has only that much content to offer. It's time to move on.
