  • Road test of my ERF B series after painting during restoration. Nice bit of 5 inch stack and Jake brake noise from the Cummins NHC 250

A nice piece of 40 year old history and a good sound. It’s so good to always preserve antiques

I can remember riding around in old Accos and Renault Midliners from that era in my childhood. Happy, happy days, and one of the big reasons I went into trucking. The political and legal end of the bizzo sucks, but it has always been a joy to get behind the wheel and make a mile. I love these old girls, always will.
I once let fly with the Jacobs brake on an old Kenworth tipper at 0200. I think the dent in the roof is still there from where I damned near jumped out of my own skin, that brake was so noisy.

Defnatally cool truck when you had to drive her not just steer those trucks where built so strong go on for ever never got to drive these they where true work horses the b series was the one that seriously made a name for ERF I must admit I do like the older black dash better but they seriously made it look more modern with this new dash then the c series was just way ahead of its time true British engineering at its best the e series was just totally the one that made people take erf seriously they where brought in to some serious big fleets that never wouldn't have looked at erf truly remarkable trucks and a proper company let's hope people can keep these old girls gong for a long time to come

Always associated ERF and Foden with travelling funfairs. Used to fascinate me - especially the Fodens with their unique designs

Nice video, but the camera man should learn to aim the camera on the driver, gear shifting and the road.

Is you mean the deckers of the 2000s then definitely not, this is a 855 or 14 litre NH series. I'd imagine the deckers used a B or C series maybe an ISM? Not sure as I know little about post 1980 busses to be fair.
