I think OKC will be a good team. Enjoyed watching them and the city when I was there for work last year. That being said comparing them to a team that had 3 future mvps seems a bit unfair honestly.
OKC has a great organization with their scouting personnel! They once had KD, Russ, Jeff Green, Serge all on one team. Now Holgrem, SGA, Giddy and Jalen Williams. They select great talent and know how to develop them.
It's a possibility (and would be hilarious) but Bill addressed it in the podcast that the thunder don't have much size. I'm not sure anyone is stopping A.D. in the paint.
LOL look how that turned out for the Grizz who thought their young roster could crack an old Lakers team. Playoffs are an old mans game and its very rare for a young team (unless they got elite talents) to really beat down a skilled veteran group. SGA may be nice but AD in the playoffs has proven its a no fly zone for anyone small enough to be attacking the paint.
The West is fascinating and the death of big man basketball was prematurely reported. The stories out west is gonna be big on big battles. Wemby Chet the rooks, Joker, AD, Rudy/Towns, KD etcet the 7footers are back in the NBA mix. And as far as the Wolves go, last years 6'9" Jayden McDaniels is now 6"11", and he's HANGRY to be defensive POY.
Rockets can only hope to jump to having a consistent gameplan on the floor. The STephen Silas era was a bad marriage overall along with bringing in knuckleheads that stat gawkers only seemed to appreciate. Udoka hopefully going to add some toughness and accountability to a mix of young prospects and proven vets who went through betting on themselves.
I get so nervous about ultra-tall guys with daddy longlegs. Ditto for Wembanyama. Is Porzingis our modern avatar of this body type? That doesn't bode well.
The scary thing about OKC is that mid season when Miami realizes that it's time to rebuild, the Thunder could trade Dort, Bertans, and throw in some of their picks to get Jimmy Butler. Then they could trade Oladipo and a pick or two to Portland to pick up Robert Williams and their defensive problems disappear. Those trades and adding those 2 guys to the roster would make the Thunder Legit, with a ton of young talent still.
@@supremesaaam1168 Oh I don't think it's happening. I'm just saying that it would make sense for everyone involved. Miami isn't going to rebuild mid season. I do think that the Robert WIlliams deal is plausible and would greatly help OKC. Portland is trying to stock pile picks, Bertans has a disposable 1 year contract, and OKC has the picks. Even just adding WIlliams to their roster would help them greatly. IMO, it's time for OKC to do something to cash in on those picks. SGA isn't going to be happy being an all NBA first team player on a team whose ceiling is the 6th seed in the west. If they don't pull of something soon and SGA demands a trade, they will be stuck with a team full of mid lottery picks year after year, hoping that they get a number one pick, and hoping that at least one of those guys turns into something close to SGA.
Nah that's not a risk imo, SGA is very happen with the team and progress. Current ceiling is way better than the 6th seed too. Also even without Sga this team would be solid and compete night in and night out. Giddey, JDub, and Micic(prepare to be shocked how good he is right away) can all run the offense and they even do certain things better than SGA. Maybe next year they will make a big trade, but not now before they have seen a full season of Chet. Plus they need to gauge how much better Giddey, Jdub, and Dieng etc. have gotten. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if they end up trading a lot of those picks for future picks wayyy down the line, and just let the promising young guys they have keep developing. They are in a position to stay competitive for a ridic long time if they don't screw this up lol. But obv you want to win and not just be competitive. Anyways...we shall see eh @@Davivd2

Im not saying +5 +5 +11, thus +21 wins, over 60! Im saying that when we consider the improvements of players who can barely legally drink or not, roster improvements and how much Chet fundmentally changes both offense and defense, +10 wins is not just realistic, it might be a conservative estimate. We could easily make it +12 to +15 and no one would be surprised and it still fits any realistic estimate.

Young upstarts can be a threat to those stacked vet teams. The 72-10 Bulls had trouble with the terrible Damon Stoudemire Raptors. I don't they'll get far in a series, but they could easily have a good regular season and bump one of those loaded teams out of the playoffs.

Second game - even better, until SGA got hold of the ball and never let anyone touch it again.. SGA is a great scorer, but that ego me me me shit makes the team boring to watch… pass the rock SGA!
Let’s see what coach D can do about this
Keep an eye out for dorts offensive game. Jay will the centers facilitating, Isaiah Joes shooting and Wiggins all around great basketball
They didn’t even mention Joe or Ous 🤣🤣🤣 but just watch I guarantee Presti’s gonna do everything possible to get Clingan in next years draft
they arent core players? they are solid rotation pieces they hope can develop into more, but the type of guys you throw into big package trades.. nothing more
@@kam_12_ Mann might not even make the team & they mentioned him…… Joe was one of the best 3 point shooter in the league last season he ain’t getting traded & Ous has insane potential
@@kam_12_Ous isn’t there atm but Joe is already one of the best shooters in the league. He’s for sure a core rotation guy.
Nine rebounds was problem half of OKC’s rebounds and unnoticed was his strength especially his hand strength. And if Ousmane continues to get bigger and better and Cason takes over the point the Thunder are a destructive force. And let’s see what Poku brings with 15 more pounds.
Didn't Chet have more points on less time and better efficiency?
Yeah, and 4 more rebounds and 1 more ast, but everyone is meat riding wemby so hard right now. It's getting old fast
Can someone send me a link to the exact double chain he has in the video? I'd like to purchase it ASAP.
Need that Kai jones trade pod
im pretty sure he got cut?
😂😂
@@Hooch_is_crzy he did but still 🤣
Except for his hair nothing stands out.
I think OKC will be a good team. Enjoyed watching them and the city when I was there for work last year. That being said comparing them to a team that had 3 future mvps seems a bit unfair honestly.
Welcome to sports...
KOC: "I had the Thunder 15th in power poll. That's too high right?". Actually should have been 2nd!
OKC WILL BE WHAT 76ers wanted to be they have great picks
OKC has a great organization with their scouting personnel! They once had KD, Russ, Jeff Green, Serge all on one team. Now Holgrem, SGA, Giddy and Jalen Williams. They select great talent and know how to develop them.
We gonna leave off HARDEN 😒
@@josephharden5592harden is a punk
Giddey is entering year 3. Not year 2.
I think OKC has the Lakers number and if they meet in the Playoffs don't be surprised if the Lakers go down ugly.
NBA and refs won’t allow that 😂
It's a possibility (and would be hilarious) but Bill addressed it in the podcast that the thunder don't have much size.
Have their number? They beat the lakers when Russ was on the roster. This version of the lakers is much better than last years
This team should be fun.. I wonder IF they will pull off a trade wit all them picks
The people want the Kai Jones no-break podcast!
Orlando will make the biggest improvement. 4th seed in the East!!!
Whoa! No mention of Poku?? 🤯
Kai Jones or Poku, who you got?
the fact that the media is hyping them for 3 years and nothing happened makes me close to be annoyed with okc and i will only believe it when i see it
😂
4:30 the person who got stripped was rookie Cason Wallace.. not J-Dub
Simmons really needs the Cleveland Browns and OKC to work out as his "sneaky good teams" this year.
This aged pretty damn well!
Tre Mann asked for a trade this summer. Also he is not in their plans. They like Isiah Joe more. And even Wallace more. Who is Manns replacement.
I think Houston could be a team that jumps up this year too.
That Kai Jones pod woulda been epic 😂
One word , one syllable
CHET
I get so nervous about ultra-tall guys with daddy longlegs. Ditto for Wembanyama. Is Porzingis our modern avatar of this body type? That doesn't bode well.
I don't want to get my hopes up for more than 44 wins this year.
This isn’t exactly a hot 🔥 take. The Thunder nearly made the playoffs last season. With Chet Holmgren healthy, they should make the playoffs. 🤷🏻♂️
Bill picked them to finish 4th in the West. That's a hotter take than just making the playoffs.
Ironically, the player they need the most is Steven Adams
Stop it they never won anything with him. He’s old and washed up and a liability on offense and defense.
@@Snickerszn I just meant more as a big body to compliment/spell Chet off the bench. He’s also 30? Not that old
Please actually do the Kai Jones emergency pod
They might make the playoffs. Thats about it
would be enough for a first step if they would actually do it and not only talk about it
@@denigster its not OKCs fault, its all these guys making videos singling them out as the 'next' team
@@denigsterIt barely gets mentioned by anyone at OKC tbh, it's the media talking about it and it's only been for this one offseason. Relax.
😂😂
Every year there is a team that everyone gets all giddey for (no pun intended). Well, prepare to be dissappointed this season with OKC.
Didn’t realize that was KOC 😂
Thunder have enough talent coming off bench alone to have a 5 man team that coukd make noise
I want some of what you been smoking
Big bro imma be straight with you that ain’t happening
@@DANIEL-up8ws Yeah. We are just speculating here. The future is going to play out one way or the other. I think this team has the most upside of any team on the come up side of things.
Look out for the Kings, they are not going anywhere, if anything they will be better once they broke the playoffs spell looming over the franchise
If the west stays healthy, they could be 6-7 seed. Nuggets, Lakers(better roster for a whole season), Suns(additions and health), Grizz(No Ja early but they've played well without him), Warriors(If their road record is better, CP3), Clippers(Kawhi and PG's health)
Pels also got Zion back, and OKC should take a leap. West is stacked
If young Teams play like they don't know better, thats how they get to 50+ Wins! They don't know they are suppose to Lose!
Yup similar to Sac last season
Better than Blake griffin for clips. Idk man he was crazy
Potential Trade: Kyrie for Spo... Who says no?
I have OKC at 53 to 56 wins.
Probably 3rd, theres a case for 2nd.
As a thunder fan, we got to chill. I love the optimism. But there is no way we go above 50 win. 50 is the ceiling and 40 is the floor. 53-56 is what i think we will do in the 2024-2025 season
@@sivapolavali4315 50+ wins is very realistic man. We have all the tools to do so. Us Thunder fans are going be in for a treat next season. Our team is hungry and ready to prove their a force to be reckon with. The west is tough but our team can hold up with it.
Take 10-15 wins off that. Lots of teams missing their best players for huge stretches. Fake wins by okc last season.
@@WheresWaldo05 WTF is a fake win? And you have them winning less games despite adding Chet and so far, it looks kike everyone has made notable improvements?
In your mind, this means less wins? Who do you have improving and why?
@@sivapolavali4315 Its a realistic number.
Take Chet away.
After last season if we kept the same line ups, do you think a 5 game improvement is fair? 5 games, its nothing. Of course it is. Add Chet back in, is he worth 5 wins? How many games did okc lose by 8 or less where a big man would have changed 50% of those losses? 22 right? So 11.
Im not saying +5 +5 +11, thus +21 wins, over 60!
Im saying that when we consider the improvements of players who can barely legally drink or not, roster improvements and how much Chet fundmentally changes both offense and defense,
+10 wins is not just realistic, it might be a conservative estimate. We could easily make it +12 to +15 and no one would be surprised and it still fits any realistic estimate.
They're good, but they aint doing fuck-all in this western conference. That's not even to say they're bad. They're just young and inexperinced and in a nuclear boiling pot of a conference with legends and super teams around them. In two-three years these guys and the spurs are gonna duel every wcf for the finals, but not right now.
But if Chet's a top 50 type player the way he looked in preseason they're legit.
@ckq Yeah, and chet's got amazing potential on both sides of the court, but off the top of your head, how many teams can you name that won a chip AND their best players were younger than 27? Maybe the spurs with Tim Duncan, but even then he had Duncan Robinson, and maybe Kobe during their first run, but he had Shaq. They're gonna be amazing, but they're just too young right now.
Young upstarts can be a threat to those stacked vet teams. The 72-10 Bulls had trouble with the terrible Damon Stoudemire Raptors.
I don't they'll get far in a series, but they could easily have a good regular season and bump one of those loaded teams out of the playoffs.
The WEST isn't even close to what it was! Mediocre at Best!
I'm just doing the math they may be one of the all-time offensive teams ever. My projections see SGA at 32 Pts per game , Giddey 18, Jalen Williams 15 , Dort 15, Holmgren 15, Poku 10 , I.Joe 10, K.Williams 10 , and Tre Mann 10 . That's 135 per game
Don't know who the guy on the right is. Don't care. Dude is a Wemby homer. His entire argument for why Wemby was great in the game were exactly all the things that Chet also did, and Chet was actually more efficient. He's just a homer.
fix the damn cameras man its gettin tiring
