I have had a lot of hamsters and I've always separated daddy from mom, when little baby hamsters came. But one night father escaped from his provisional "home" and 'til this day I don't know how, he managed to get into mom's apartment. He even brought some food with him. When I got up in the morning, to see how the babies are doing.... They were all laying on daddy to keep warm, whilst mom was out in the opposite corner cleaning and taking care of herself, having a break from the kids. Then when she was all fresh and done, toilet break and everything, took over from daddy and everything was fine. I never had another couple like this. If ever there could be love between two animals, I think they really loved each other. And they were really smart too. I've had more than a few dumb hamsters and only a few very clever ones. That couple was really special.

FUN FACT: Hamster mothers somtimes eat there babies in the night so if you see some missing it's because they are in the mothers tummy!

I don't know if I'm commenting this too late however I feel it's still worth noting.
You NEED to get a different setup that does not have straight up and down habitrail that long, your hamster can fall and break their back, I learned this the hard way and I don't want anyone else to have to so please change your cage when you have the chance!

The All Things Channel it’s still way too small and the hamster cages with those tunnels are a huge no... I breed my hamsters with a 20 gallon most people will use huge bins

Attention. That is not their actual cage! Hamsters need to be in a different environment while breeding. Also they need to be away from there father cause the father can eat the babies.

I am getting two male dwarves very soon! because I have had the best luck with my males.
