Hey Matt, this is such a beautiful video! If you have a moment I'd love to get any advice / suggestions on what you use to keep warm on the bike at these frosty temperatures!
Hi Rushil, glad you liked the video. When the temperature drops below 5-6 degrees I tend to wear both Keis heated under-jacket and leggings, but if it's really cold then I'll use heated gloves and socks too. They make a huge difference to cold weather riding and I'd very much recommend them.

Hi Matt , happy new year 2023 . Many rides and videos the last is very beautiful . I hope to see you on the road english or french . Thank you for your work .
I love the Peaks this time of year, it's like an entirely different place compared to the summer. Bike looks sharp-you've looked after it well and that Eversholt is aging nicely-I think I want one! Ride safe Matt.
Thanks Andy, I have say the snow really makes the chrome pop. The bike hasn’t faired too badly considering everyone and his dog told me that if I ride in winter, it’ll simply dissolve. 3 winter’s in and it still looks good, mostly. Wouldn’t mind winter being over now though 😁
Great video, l was looking desperately to see if the back of your helmet had a leather button strap to secure your goggles . One of my old Bell helmets back in the 70s had this to prevent you losing your goggles.
Lovely views of the Peaks in winter covered in snow ,Did you wash the salt off the Silver Dagger as soon as you got home. Can I ask what face covering you have on.Ride safe Pete.
Actually I usually wait until the next day before washing it. I want the bike as cold as possible so I don’t stress the metals by spraying freezing water on hot metal. But I keep it well covered with XCP during winter so it shouldn’t be a problem 😊
Wow. I'm sat on a train going from Edinburgh to London and, for the first time, listened through headphones. When the music is playing I can just hear the rumble of the exhausts through my left ear, then at the end, both ears full blast. Fantastic video again and thank-you. 👌 Have you seen the film One Week, with Joshua Jackson? If not, I would highly recommend it.
Glad you enjoyed it, I’ve got a plan for better engine audio this year so hopefully you won’t need headphones in the future! I haven’t seen that film, but I’ll certainly look it up 👍
Hi Matt, so happy you've had a break in the weather and been able to get out for a decent ride. Loved this new video, particularly all the coverage you took at the beginning... I do wonder how long it must take you to get that coverage, but as a viewer I really appreciate it.
Thanks Simon. It’s a little bit of a chore to get the shots for the ‘scenes’, but it’s worth the effort I think. The hardest part is feeling like a plonker when there’s a cafe full of people wondering what you’re doing 😁
Beautiful views and great bike, i've contemplated getting a bonneville at some stage as a replace for my RE Classic. I was just curious I noticed you have a black & white plate, I'm fairly new to biking but are we allowed to have them? I know vintage cars can have them. I only ask because I think it'd look nicer on my classic than the standard yellow 😅
The rules for bikes are the same as cars when it comes to plates, so black and whites aren’t legal for a modern bike. So you just have to decide whether you want to take the risk 😊
Thanks 🙏 I actually use the “full Fillingham” method, Uncle Stew certainly knows a thing or two about how to clean a motorcycle, if you have a look on his channel there’s a couple of good tutorial videos. At this time of year I’m usually washing the bike down after every ride to keep the salt off, but in summer I wash it maybe every four or five rides, then I do a ‘big’ clean every other month.
Nice! Thx! I ride a 2013 T-100 and love it! Are those Triumphs bags? They look great and it’s hard to find a good match for our café racer bikes. I’d like to add that to my bike if you don’t mind me asking? Thx
Thanks Scott, glad you liked it. They’re actually my own brand of bags, I couldn’t find ones I liked so decided to do my own. If you’d like more info you can find them on my website www.classic-rides.co.uk
@@ClassicRides that’s great! Then you know what I mean. It’s hard to find the right fit for those bikes. I’ll definitely be checking them out. Actually, I’ll probably be buying some for me too! Very cool! Thx

@@ClassicRides wow- I just found your tail bag. I think I need a set of three. THIS is what I’ve been looking for! Finally! They look perfect! I’ll make some decision and shoot you an email if what I select isn’t available at the time. I’ll probably order tomorrow. Thanks
A regular viewer of your videos here, I seldom miss them. A small request though, whenever you are starting your bike on camera, it would be great if you could lower the background music to a minimum, your bike's sound is more gravitating than any music. Love your work and love the way your bike looks. ❤️
Thanks Akash, that's a fair request, capturing better sound from the bike is something I'm always working on, though it's been quite difficult as it's a quiet bike. But, I have a plan for better audio this year, so hopefully you'll be able to hear the bike much clearer in the coming months.
Hi Si, glad you liked the video. They’re actually my own range of panniers. I decided to create a small shop to help fund the channel, if you’d like more info on the bags you can find them on my website www.classic-rides.co.uk
Glad you like the video, you have such a great biking scene in Korea! The bags are my own make, you can get more information on them here: www.classic-rides.co.uk/collections/shop-luggage
Thanks Edward, it’s wasn’t that bad on the main roads, but side roads that lead to anything interesting were a definite ’no’ from me, I’m not that brave and I’d be heartbroken if I smashed my bike up 😁
They salt most of the main roads, which unfortunately means giving the bike a decent wash down after every ride. I’m pretty liberal with putting XCP on the bike too which helps a lot.
It never gets old looking at your bike, it a work of art and the chrome just looks glorious. Another cinematic gem of a video that makes your channel a must watch. I commented on your camera gear video and mentioned the DJI Action 3, go look at this guy (you may already know of him), Dave at @WheelieGoodTV who just done a master class on the DJI Action 3.
Ah yes I’ve seen his channel, he certainly knows a thing or two about cameras. Thanks for the tip, I’ll definitely give it a watch. And always glad you liked the video, the snow made the bike especially shiny so it was worth the risk of going out 😁

Well I have heated trousers and jacket on underneath so the cold isn’t a problem, very much recommend them to anyone. I’ve tried a lot of goggles, some of the rubbish, some just plain dangerous. These sones are pretty decent though, they don’t fog up and look the part too, I’d say give them a try if you haven’t already.
@@allanhughes7859 you wouldn’t be the first to call me a wimp for wearing heated gear, but seriously if you haven’t tried a heated jacket you really should. I haven’t seen that film, but I’ll certainly look it up 👍
Fabulous video. Qn - how do you go about putting a black reg plate on a modern motorbike?
Well, it’s not legal is the short answer 😁
@@ClassicRides Totally fair! Thank you for answering. Whats life without a bit of risk
Hi Matt
What are the Panniers? They look great.
Thanks
Hi Dennis, they’re actually my own brand of bags. If you’d like more info you can find them on my website www.classic-rides.co.uk
Wow. Thanks.
Top class filming congratulations. How do you keep your bike in such stunning conditions? How often do you clean it and how?
Thanks 🙏 I actually use the “full Fillingham” method, Uncle Stew certainly knows a thing or two about how to clean a motorcycle, if you have a look on his channel there’s a couple of good tutorial videos.
At this time of year I’m usually washing the bike down after every ride to keep the salt off, but in summer I wash it maybe every four or five rides, then I do a ‘big’ clean every other month.
@@ClassicRides well, it might be the light, or magic go pro filters but your bike looks as new. How many miles do you have on clock?
@@c.g.c2067 It's got about 16K miles on it now. The snow does make the chrome pop a bit more than usual to be fair 🙂
@@ClassicRides 16k had any issues at all? I ride on a 2021 Street Rwin and was thinking about switching to a T120
@@c.g.c2067 The only issues I've had are ones that I've caused by putting a few dodgy aftermarket parts on, the bike itself has been faultless.
Lovely work 👍🏻👍🏻 What helmet and goggle combo do you have there, fella?
Thanks, it’s a Hedon Hedonist helmet and Leon Jeantet Aviator goggles 👌
Nice!
Very cool! Thx
@@ClassicRides are yours the Travelers panier in sand? They look great
@@57eleven1 in the video I actually have a sand and a khaki on each side as I was taking photos of them 😁
I don’t carry a huge stock so if you find they’re sold out and you want a set, just fire an email over to me and I’ll be sure to get some in for you in the next delivery 😊
Just wonder how many camera do u use in the production
3 GoPro’s, 1 Fuji and 1 drone 📸
I’m interested to know what gloves you wear?
In this video they were a pair golf Goldtop gloves, I don’t remember the model name though.
Amazing quality videos. Makes me just what to jump on my bike right now. Question (if that ok) what panniers do you have?
Hi Si, glad you liked the video. They’re actually my own range of panniers. I decided to create a small shop to help fund the channel, if you’d like more info on the bags you can find them on my website www.classic-rides.co.uk
I am the owner of t120 in Korea.
I'm enjoying your video.
The bike bag is so cool. Can you tell me where I bought it?
Glad you like the video, you have such a great biking scene in Korea! The bags are my own make, you can get more information on them here: www.classic-rides.co.uk/collections/shop-luggage
Thank you for your information and I hope you always drive safely
@@jaewuk76 Thank you so much 🙏🏻 I wish the same for you too.
May I ask what brand your jacket is ?
You may, it’s an Ashley Watson Eversholt MK2 👌
Hey Matt, well done some amazing footage.
Is there much ice on the roads?
Thanks Edward, it’s wasn’t that bad on the main roads, but side roads that lead to anything interesting were a definite ’no’ from me, I’m not that brave and I’d be heartbroken if I smashed my bike up 😁
hello, what face towel do you use?
It’s from Rare Bird London.
So do theysalt all roads tou the uk during winter. If so does that mean a detail clean after every ride
And always glad you liked the video, the snow made the bike especially shiny so it was worth the risk of going out 😁
Hi,
Co to za torby? Ile mają litrów? Podasz mi link do sklepu z tymi torbami?
Pozdrawiam z Polski.
Hi Jan, they’re actually my own brand of panniers, if you’d like more information on them, you can find them on my website www.classic-rides.co.uk

Dziękuję 😀
✌
👊
You should be working for David Attenborough your photography is stunningly professional!!
Haha, that’s a nice compliment but I think the camera operators who work on those programmes might be a bit offended 😁
What is it with us bikers ???? Must have a coffe and a cake and the bike must be within viewing distance !! Just loved this vid really really well done and me sat here with a cup ot tea not coffe thinking why the hell am I not out there doing this "TO FRIGGIN COLD" comes to mind
last comment dont know how the hell you get on with those goggles I hate them worse than a full face helmet in my humble opinion Any way thanks for taking the time to show us your bike and ride out it did make me smile THANK YOU !!
@@ClassicRides You whimp L.O.L. ok point taken what make are the goggles ??
@@allanhughes7859 you wouldn’t be the first to call me a wimp for wearing heated gear, but seriously if you haven’t tried a heated jacket you really should. It stayed just around freezing the whole day and the only time I got cold was when I got off the bike.
The goggles are Jean Letet Aviator Goggles (I’ve probably spelt it wrong!)
