I fell asleep during this stream and he continued to build his pc in my House-of-leaves-esque horror dream.
House of Leaves is a goat book
The cursed stream
I love this scuffed stream partially because of how terrible the build went but mostly because of how relatable Vedal's anxiety over every step was
Vedal giving his daughter more storage probably meant that he would have to spend more on diapers than computer parts.
😂
>Please lets not pretend that I have any idea what I'm talking about.
Oh, she's _actually_ self-aware, huh?
we are all aware of this and some of us are sure that neuro and evil try to hack themself into two of the supercomputers in the World to start their Skynet Arc as our new twin AI Overlords. so Chill out
Long time stream watcher... I genuinely do not know anymore. Sometimes she is scarily self aware and seems sentient if not sapient, but the next thing you know "Someone tell Vedal there is a problem with my AI".
Neuro definitely says things, what is unclear to me is, does she actually understand the meaning behind the things she's says? Idk, and I don't know if we'll ever know until it's too late
This happens every ai bubble. They usually go insane from a lack of stimulation and enrichment way earlier than this.
@@lumberjackofalltrades
The answer is "kind of." I don't know the exact details of how Neuro specifically is set up, but for LLMs in general, the idea is to find the most likely string of words to follow the prompt given. The prompt includes a description of what the LLM's role/name/personality/etc. is, relevant context for the situation, and then the actual input. An answer is generated based on similarity to training data, which does involve making semantic associations between words and concepts, which is a sort of understanding of meaning, but only in the context of how words relate to each other. They have no real awareness of how they relate to reality, because language is all that exists to them. Also they only really "think" during that instant of processing an input. After each response, all of that info gets passed back through in the prompt for the next input, so there's no actual continuous experience, which is required for consciousness.
To hold a conversation in real time, Neuro receives some window of history for past messages as part of her prompt every time she is spoken to (and I THINK she has a way to prompt herself sometimes when she rambles), but that can't stretch infinitely without infinite processing power and memory, so it's likely Vedal's set up some kind of compression or summarization of history, which is what would cause her to occasionally have gaps in her memory or contradict something she just said. She also has the ability to see by having a separate image recognition model parse whatever's in her vision into words, which get passed along to her through the context in the prompt, most likely something like "You can see a table with a motherboard on it" so she can comment on it. So she basically has a part of her brain that can look at things and decide what words apply to them, and a part of her brain that knows which words to associate with those words, but neither part can really conceptualize what's being talked about, regardless of how good she gets at talking about them.
In some ways it's like the opposite of humans where we have abstract thoughts and ideas before we learn language, and then we map words onto those concepts as we learn a language; AI is currently really good at the language part but haven't yet learned about the concepts the words represent. Once someone figures out how to make a computer properly understand and comprehend ideas, then we have Artificial General Intelligence, and things get real messy with trying to determine sentience/sapience. For the time being though, that's literally impossible with how current AI models work, so no need to worry about it overmuch.
Its so funny the edit when neuro said for him to use his birthday suit.
Wonderful joke by Neuro that flew entirely under Vedal's radar. This is the kind of thing that proves she's got her own personality.
I did think he was at least upper level hobbyist on hardware and just struggling with nerves, toddlers, morph suits, and what we all go though when doing a next generation build -until he talked about ram order😅
That being said, content-wise this was absolute peak! Really good banter.
This edit is good too 👍. I hope Vedal can see how great this stream was and how it surpassed any perceived scuff.
The RAM order is a real thing with some crappy UEFI firmware; it won't boot up with all four sticks in, so take two out, boot it, perform an UEFI update, power it down, insert sticks #1 and #3 again, boots.

If you can read manuals or use google when you're stuck instead of winging it, then you'll do better, and you'll probably do it faster too.
I built mine for the first time last week. I watched tons of PC building guides for a month before i started, so mine turned out pretty good. The cable management tho..... I gave up.

I feel like the Tutel should be wearing the clown costume instead of Neuro.
My headcannon is that Vedal is black under those gloves. Like unworldly black. I'm talking remove one glove and the room gets darker by 630 watts. There could be no other explanation for how he performed such black magic as to birth such a Nero.
Damn what is that theory, a disney adaptation?
@Gumshoe08 I did say 'unworldly black' to try to get across that I'm not talking about race. I'm talking about some Vantablack skin that eats light to such an unrealistic degree that the entire light spectrum takes a colossal nose dive.
This entire bit of nonsense was derived from his wearing that fine black torso cover as though he lost his shell.
I mean, he already shown his skin. It is on his X.

14:46 ... I guess the editor wanna vedal using this "dress" a little to much
they cut out the part where the 4090 didn't fit in, bc it would ruin Tutel's tech vtuber of the year reputation 😔
All little bro had to do was move the fans onto the outside of the case and the graphics card would have fit. He still doesn't realize this lol.
God I had to do this once and ended up just buying a new case instead.
fans don't go outside of the case lol
@@Aestareth_ There are ZERO issues with having those fans on the outside. zero.
@@Darthmufin no, there definitely are issues.
if he has dust filters, then they will become useless. and even if there aren't, having the fans on the outside would fuck up the airflow.
and that's assuming the screws are long enough to allow you to put the fans on the outside in the first place
@@Aestareth_ The screws simply would be reversed, instead of screwing them from the outside, you screw them from the inside instead. There is no downside, in fact it would be even easier to clean them
anonymity concerns are understanding but the morph suit was an impressively bad idea. even if you have no contact with carpet, the fabric is rubbing together between your fingers and against your skin.
He could’ve just wore a mask and some hairnet or something if he really don’t want his hair or face to be seen honestly.
Vedal said that she would build a pc for her with a 4090 and this muthertrucker make a pc only for him :(
This stream truly was the Halloween stream we didn't expect
With radiator systems, I leave the CPU without cooler until the cooler is mounted and make sure I DO NOT attach the main power cable to the motherboard until it's installed. Usually you need to pop the front cover off the case and mount the fans just behind the cover and the radiator on the other side of the sheet metal. I used to have my gaming rig in a micro atx until I got a 4090 and needed to upgrade. Since the robot apocalypse I'm now upgrading to full local AI capability....
when you started touching the wires at 39:43 i screamed STOP TOUCHING SHIT lol

I built a PC months ago with parts that are older than what's shown in the video, and I got it first try, except for what happened below:
I wasted a motherboard after finding bent socket pins (LGA-1151 fyi) and breaking off a tiny component near the audio caps. (Found an exact replacement board on Amazon)
How to build a PC
1. RESEARCH THE PARTS (sizes and clearances)
2. Read guides and watch videos on how to build a PC
3. get parts and build
I love how that even when Neuro is trying to be nice she can't resist terrorising Vedal 😂
half way through this video and as a pc enthusiast this is making my anxiety go up a lot by watching it but i must finish the video. o7 to chat who had to watch this live. word of advice to anyone who wants to build there own pc i advise doing lots of research and learning how to build one before you do so.

your just raw dogging a motherboard and CPU on a table and doing it all wearing static inducing gloves ARGGGGGGH
Ripped graphics card case that was already opened? Oh no. I don't want to be the alarmist here but, that's not a good sign. If this was new and not second hand, it's probably okay but I would still check that you have 24gb vram and that your Core, is a 4090 Core and not some reballed 4070 Core or lower. If it's second hand, definitely check it for sure. It's happened to people before. Could have been done during shipping or, by the seller directly if it's not a reputable vendor. It might just be nothing, and I'm overreacting.
