      @@lazman5516 i knows everyone of the ones you mentioned.. I’m myself guitarist and composer ..it’s about the musicality in terms of songs that Satriani wins .. Shawn lane for instance is a monster .. I know personally Brett Garsed who’s on another level .. but it’s about taste maybe above a certain level ..

    To say these guys can't hold a candle to Jimmy Page is inane. Page is my all time favorite guitarist. But even he has said his mastery of theory and flashy technique can't compare to many others. The thing is there is no need for comparison. We are talking completely different playing styles. All that matters is what the music makes you feel.

    Man Joe satriani is definitely immensely underrated. He is a force of nature as a guitarist and in an all around musical sense that it's ridiculous he isn't commercially up there in the top 5.. commercially though to some guitarists could be considered "selling out" but when a musician at the caliber of Joe satriani isn't as well known as they should be, it just isn't right. Well anyway all true guitarists and most musicians probably know who he is anyway, he's the fucking man bottom line..

Dude headlined a music fest in my city in India, the amount of people around me who like me knew all the songs all the licks and tricks was honestly very surprising and heart warming at the same time. Man's also held the record for most Grammy nominations without a win at one point so even the mainstream acknowledges the greatness of this man.

    He didint realized he realy good in guitar until many people asking him to teach them play the instrument. Wow, he so dedicated on what he's doing, and forget to give a credit on himself for what he did.

    teaching is a gift. Dirty DOM has never been great to at it although I did teach a bunch of high school kids when I was in 6th grade. They went to college and got on the tops list of the UM campus around the time Steve Miller and Boz Skaggs went there.. The bass player eventually got a big name with Elvin Bishop a b day others great players.

    Legend has it Steve never revealed how or why he cut his teeth. Could’ve been stripping electrical wire or it could’ve been grape nuts. The clip wasn’t cutoff the story just ended there and there was no need to include the awkward silence.

    Pressure to play perfectly? Slash himself said that he would mess up all the time when playing with GNR, and personally speaking, I could play something a million times and still make a mistake.

    • @Andresmoomoo
      @Andresmoomoo 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Right? a teacher who forces you to play to perfection under extreme pressure....cant be a healthy way to learn

    • @IgnorancEnArrogance
      @IgnorancEnArrogance 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Slash was pretty messed up for a majority of the bands lifetime, the whole band was. I'm sure even Joe would make some mistakes if he had a hangover or smack addiction.

    • @SynthApprentice
      @SynthApprentice 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Messing up all the time isn't something to strive for, even if Slash says he does it.

    Kirk Hammett solos are pretty crap, how long has he been Satch student? Not long enough is my guess.

    • @myworstenemy680
      @myworstenemy680 8 ปีที่แล้ว +34

      Most of his Satriani lessons happened right before the ...and Justice Album.
      Hammett played well on that Album imo. His live performances are hideous these days.

      Eur, how much oxygen have you ever produced? None. But you are still breathing, right? How much cattle have you ever bred? None. But you are still eating meat, right? How many computers have you manufactured? None. But you are still using one to illustrate what a dumbass you are. And I bet you thought your logic was undeniable. Poster boy.

      BonuxCouleur he's not the best but we can't hate on the guy he's been living the dream we all wish we could. I was gonna say he's early solos where badass lol but unfortunately those were written by Dave mustain haha
      But Kirk played them decently on those recordings
