- It’s a rainy, nasty day here in west TN, so we don’t get much done other than our routine chores. We have some typical shenanigans of mischevious animals (specifically Pete the Cat and the horses). Thanks for watching, eat beef, and God bless!

yeah, we cuss the rain this time of year, but then we end up begging for it in the summer. Just the way it goes sometimes. Thanks for watching!
I filled up all my hay rings last night too! putting off the inevitable... MUDDY mess in SW Virginia
Yes. Beautiful here today. 60s and sunny. Should dry out a good bit before we have to feed hay again this weekend.
@@HurricaneCreekFarms hoping that weather is heading my way!
Good Afternoon Thanks For The Video Bobby how is the calf doing?
Good afternoon! Unfortunately, that calf did not make it
How many horses do you have? Please introduce me to them!
5. I’ll try to remember to introduce all of them in the next video
I disagree that rain makes it a nasty day. I have hay set out in a few fields. I open the gate to let cows get to the next ration of hay. I feel the soft mud under my feet and am thinking that we could be off to a wet spring and good pastures and hay fields. The rain is a great blessing from a loving Father.
Well, we certainly wouldn’t survive without the rain. We are blessed to be in an area that tends to get plenty. This is the time of year that it doesn’t benefit us much and we’d prefer to be really dry. We usually have excess rain from now through May or early June, then we have tendency to dry up in the summer. It obviously doesn’t work this way, but I’d like to bottle some of this up and save it for August!
When is your calving season?
spring calvers start mid-February through mid-April
What does the soybean meal do for the feeder calves ?
Adds a lot of protein to the corn ration
