Of all the bladesmiths online today I have watched Shurap the longest and his videos are still the ones i anticipate the most! Always beautiful creative blades, made mostly out of scrap! 👍
I love his work as well, but I think my favorite is Alec Steele's Viking Sword Build (th-cam.com/play/PLWx61XgoQmqcqxHjUFmtW4dhFdrk1TEs-.html&si=X5yUcpFeTtDUtLYJ). That being said, between his consistency and tea brewing, he is a close second. I still never miss an episode.
My son and I were talking about how cool it is that you take the time to weld smiley faces on the box to make people happy, even when you live in a country at war. Keep it up, hang in there!
FFS NATO was in two different countries for 15&21 years… didn’t stop people in NATO countries from still producing their trade craft. Hell even Iraqis and Afghanis went about their daily lives while occupied
@@mjohan4998 Afghans (Afghani is the name of the national currency) are occupied right now. By Taliban
I always get a kick out of the little smiley face on the end of your cannisters.
Did you see the smiley face after the first press?
He did it by purpose.
Yes
Always a familiar delight when he sneaks it in there!
I think that it's a fun way to keep the cannister oriented.
He’s making sure you’re watching and not asleep
As always, it's a delight to see the process of you making another of your unique blades (as well as the tea intermission). Glad that you're still doing well!!
I love the chilli and pepper as carbon sources
Is that what he's doing that for??? I was wondering what that was for. That really works for a carbon source? What is normally used?
@@mattjack3983 any burnt organic matter is a good source for the tiny amount of carbon needed
I was so curious about that as well, figured someone would comment on it.
What is the grey powder he puts in first?

Not only are Shurap's blades beautiful works of functional art, but I bet they taste spicy and delicious too but you have to be patient and let them cook until they are well done.
I will NEVER get tired of watching your videos. I love the consistency in the format.

Never seen a blade of yours I didn't like, you put out some real art.
And many interesting teas!
So glad to know you are still doing well, and your work is always amazing. Thank you for the video.
It is SO good to see another Shurap video. They never get old. I love watching them. I love this process. I love the end result. This blade is no exception. Exquisite.

Just to let you know, every time I watch one of your videos. My daughters run over to see what kind of "magical" tea you're making today.
Great work. Love your videos.
Always great to see you crafting such amazing pieces with everything going on in your country. Wish you all the best, and can't wait to see what you bring us next time.

Always happy to see your “Davids/Giocondas” and you still manage to surprise me. The colors, the patterns and the overall design of the blade is really special to me. Thank you for posting and hope to see you soon and maybe in person.
Always glad to see a new video, which means you are safe!
Супер, нарешті нове відео. Дякую, майстре!
Do you ever make a billet from all the steel you cut/press off? That'd be a weird patterned steel.
Considering he has made a blade from the metal 'slag' under his grinders and sanders... I think he should *definitely* make one from all the various off-cuts!
So happy to see you again!
Have been watching your videos for years and every time I'm amazed at your beautiful work, hope you and your family are safe.
Краса ховається в деталях, неперевершений витвір мистецтва!

Today I saw that you have a store on Amazon. I'll try to buy one. I'm from Brazil and I need to convert and see how much fee I will be charged.
The one you made today I fell in love with. If I can buy it, I want to leave it framed in my living room.

It would be nice if once you could add some text during the different steps that explains a bit what are you doing and why. I personally think that from a metallurgical point of view it could be very interesting! I wish you all the best in this crazy time ❤ 🇺🇦
I personally have always wondered why he adds a chili and pepper? I think its for the carbon content or possibly just as a flair by the forge master. Not sure by any means
Glad to see you are well and productive!

Shurap, why you put pepper and piment in the square metal tube?
Because sharp and spicy is the same words in ukrainian.
For the carbon.
It's a joke. "Sharp" and "spicy" sound very similar in Ukrainian.
I was very excited to see this video. I am currently waiting for some financial issues to clear up before I can rebuild my forge. It's nice to be able to see someone else forging in the meantime.
