  • Sycamore Creek is the first off-road ride ever with me driving our new 2023 Segway Villain. The Villain gets tested by a newbie & a newbie is tested by the Villain. Thankfully I've added some basic accessories.

    Awesome video! Love to see new folks enjoying their sxs. I heard you talk about engine braking while going down the hills, if you will apply a little throttle while descending the hill, that will keep the belt slightly engaged to slow you down. I’ve been looking into the getting a villan as well, real talk power sports have a bunch of informative videos and accessories for them as well. Have a great day.

      I have heard that from several people since I had that experience & it does work. I'm still working on making it into a natural thing.. :-)

      One of the guys is 83. His grand kids think he is home watching black and white reruns from the 60's. :-)

    First time watching, I am also getting into the sxs for the first time, I used to ride quads 20 years ago. These are a lot different. Best of luck to y'all.

      One fellow told us his grandchildren thought that was all he did all day. Not the crowd we're hanging with! Don't tell their grand kids or they will want to move in! "-)

      We're just getting started with our 2023 Villain SX10 WX. It's amazing! Smooth ride and climbs everything with ease.

    pretty good video, you did very good for your very first off-road ride in your new villain. I don't blame your wife for being apprehensive. It is kind of scary sometimes. I live in Glendale and go riding around Sedona. Right now it's too hot to go out.
    Those Kawasaki KRX's are actually 68 inch wide side-by-side's. I am pretty impressed with your Segway. I sat in one at the Ride Now in Peoria last year thought it was pretty cool.

      The Villain is a great machine for the price. Robin has come a long way in trusting it and stopped screaming in concern for her safety. Now it's just screams of fun and excitement. We live in Apache Junction, and it's too hot for local rides. A shop in Payson (Go AZ Motorcycles) put on a fun event yesterday. The temperature was ok and we met a lot of fun people. It was good to be out again.

    Sounds like your in low gear for a lot of that? or is the motor just that loud.

    • @DesertVillain
      @DesertVillain  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A lot of the trails are steep, narrow, rocky, etc. Most of the time we are not going very fast so low 4 wheel does the trick. The engine is not quiet that's for sure, but others are louder.

      We live in Apache Junction, AZ. So far, we only trailered about 40 miles each way. There are so many places to go but we're going with experienced people. It's safer, and we learn from them. As AZ heats up, we're going to the mountains and possibly northern Nevada.
