    Love the NFL on NBC games from this era, Oilers white uniforms with the Love Ya Blue pants were amazing in this era too.

      Not for me. They should be wearing home blues at home.

    Where has time gone? Since this game, the Raiders have moved 3 times: first to Los Angeles, then back to Oakland, then to Las Vegas. The Oilers moved to Nashville, got a new stadium and now that stadium is somehow obsolete.

    At 4PM Eastern, the entire state of Ohio was split into four as the announcer promoted the late games.

    The Raiders were always trying to prove that Marc Wilson could be their quarterback and Jim Plunkett would always have to pull the fat from the fire. This went on for about three years, I think.

    Talk about a one dimensional offense. They ran Earl into the ground. By 1981 he was basically spent.

      And why did Davis sign Wilson to a huge contract around the 1983 draft? Raiders could have snagged Marino after Rozelle sabotaged the Raiders-Colts deal for Elway's rights.

      I see that too. Never had I seen the Houston Oilers wear white at home. This is the first. I wonder why. Maybe there blue uniforms were not ready or cleaned?

    • @whataboutrob442
      @whataboutrob442 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @DurianKing70 no, Houston, like a lot of teams in the early 80s went to white at home. The Browns wore white at home a lot, and Cincinnati started wearing white at home in 1981 as did the Lions. I know there were more, but those are a few.

      @@whataboutrob442 Ok, I only began watching NFL football around 1983, and did notice quite a few teams waring white at home. Many still do today. Dallas, Miami, Tampa Bay, Miami, and sometimes New Orleans, Jacksonville, Carolina, LA Rams, LA Chargers, and first home game of each year, the Texans. The Dallas Cowboys ware white at home 99 percent of the time. I wish they would ware there home blue at home.

      Nah, that was on Bum. He was a terrible GM. Deserved to get canned after running his big mouth about winning the division and going to the bowl. Only to get beat again. This time in the wildcard round.

      @@bobnewfart7630 Bud didn't trade Dan, Bum did. Bum did an average job of coaching in 1980. Look at the games they lost. The Chiefs, Jets and Seahawks. Nah, it was time. His offense was complete trash in 1980, and getting smoked by the Raiders and he refused going to hire an offensive coordinator and a GM. And what did he do in New Orleans? And why was he never hired again.
