That was a great way of getting rid of all those scraps Tina. I love doing scrappy snippets. Can't wait to see what you put this on. Yellow is a Spring colour. Daffs time. That's about the time you see it and on Easter things. Bee journals too. I love the green elements you used. it really brought the whole piece together. Love it xxx

I have lots of scraps. I will be making a snippet roll. You are good at helping me to keep using up all the scraps. My dog a lo so makes the noise when I interrupt her sleep. She is a chiweenee. Datsun and chihuahua. She is the best one in the family, she is always happy and never complains. We went to training with her but she really has us trained. ❤❤❤

Speaking of using yellow, I admit it isn't one of my favorite colors. I have been making a bee themed journal lately, though, and have been having quite a bit of fun with it! I dyed fabric and paper with turmeric root and yellow onion skin. I'm actually kind of loving using the yellow with teal and rosy pink 💕💕

Lol I've been saving my scraps for exactly this type of project😁. Lol you're walled in 🙈. Yeah it's the over thinking matchy matchy that dogs me 🙈. Lol yes, avoid the iron at all cost 🙊. If people are offended seeing messy hands they need to stop watching arts and crafts videos😄 it goes with the territory! Yes we have to think in pieces, I always get bogged down with how the whole looks. Lol identifies as a flower🙊 very 'now ' 🙈. I like when Barbara uses yellow but struggle myself 🤷. Have yellow ribbon and lace from multi packs so should try at some point. The embellishments make all the difference and as always pushes back the rest. It'll be cool to see it evolve again when used in pieces. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

Yellow has always been a struggle for me too in arts and crafts. But as a florist I have learned it's importance in design. Just a touch in the background helps ground, ...and bring life to all the other colors being used. As a shabby pink tea rose lover myself, I've learned to incorporate the palest of yellow into as many projects as I can, especially when working with a multitude of colors like you were in this project. (Bright yellow will always be hard.) Do not be afraid ! LOL... Think of it as pastel green until you get used to it.... Chances are that once you start using it you'll really like it's subtle nature and discover its overall value.
I'be just recently discovered the world of TH-cam. I love listening to you. You've inspired me in many ways I thought I'd long since lost. So thanks for that.
I'm going to be keeping an eye out for some already printed labels and such. Your papers are to die for. 🌷

Just wanted to say a big thank you Tina for all your fab videos and ideas, so helpful, I too originally started as a card crafter, and like most of us I assume, I've gotten further into the rabbit hole of crafting lol, your videos are great for inspiration and motivation. I do have a problem sticking point, not sure if anyone else in the chat does or whether it may be a video idea but photos. As in lovely modern photos you often find in gardening books, wildlife books, antique pricing books etc, I have a real issue with trying to use them, not because I'm hoarding them as I love them too much (already sorted that by taking photocopies of things I love so I don't use up the original) but I just find it so hard to get inspired how to use them and I have loads and seems a waste to get rid of them but I do a lot of shabby chic vintage style and I want to use them but just can't get them to "work" any help, advice or even a video on what you do would be great as I see you have sometimes used modern colour photos
Anyway thanks again for all your hard work and dedication xx

Kudos. Every project you've created always looks beautiful.
However, I'd have a nervous breakdown if my work space were so mixed up & cluttered.😅
I have a place for everything & everything for a place. Materials, silks, handmade papers, and what I make are put in drawers sorted by color, theme, & type of ephemera. Then, everything is put in the same space I got it from.
I have a large turntable w everyday items I use. It saves me time.
Actually I have the same set ups for painting, crafting, resin work, sewing and quiet space for writing. In just a bit OCD now since an accident I had. I couldn't remember where I would put anything, so structuring my art & home I stopped losing things or forgetting who I loaned something.
I so enjoy your upbeat manner, how yow speak,,your journals, etc😊

I really don't like using yellow either! How weird! Yellow is my least favourite colour in life in general. I don't wear it, it's ok in the garden but I don't deliberately have yellow flowers, except yellow roses which somehow are beautiful!
Love the end product. I love the way you stuck with it even when you didn't like it! Thanks xxx

    • @shabbydabbydoodah
      @shabbydabbydoodah  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes it’s one of those colours isn’t it? Although it brings happiness I just can’t like it when using it, and definitely not wearing it! Lol. Yes yellow roses are pretty though oh and daffodils. Xx

Hi Tina, just watched you using your hot glue gun how do you not burn yourself? Do you use cold glue stick or hot glue sticks.? I liked the snippets material role embellishments always improve the appearance 🥰
