The song is telling you to not believe everything you have been told , or raised to believe in. It's about Catholic school with nuns and corporal punishment. But the teachers were just doing what they were taught, and what they believe is right. Teachers can be misled too. You got it. Video from several shows with the studio audio over them.

There are vocal effects just as there are guitar effects. But there are no pre recorded background vocals.
Consider doing Jinjer's Beggers Dance and Prolouge off their King of everything album. They are well worth the listen.
