honestly, if you were still willing to make Mario 64 soundfont AIC, there's no doubt SAP is a must, and some bonus lesser knowns like Get Born Again, Died, Fear The Voices and Lying Season as its own sort of underground album, because this stuff is absolutely amazing (also What The Hell Have I and A Little Bitter)
It's crazy to think this album and SM64 are contemporaries [really only a few months apart, albeit in Japan but still]. Also yes, I am old enough to have played and listened to both 🤣
Man, Shame In You was amazing with this. I'm honestly impressed how well a lot of AIC's music translates into a soundfont from an N64 games. Like, I never would've guessed that it would've meshed this well. Hell, it makes me appreciate the Super Mario 64 OST more (never really played it growing up so I never got to listen to it much until later in life) than I thought I could. Also makes me realize how good the N64's soundchip was tbh.
This is like listening to the album for the first time again. I can't imagine the work that went into this and shows some genuinely exceptional musicianship. As goofy as it all really is. Well done!

Man, I’m glad your AIC Mario 64 covers blew up the way they did. You’re one of the few who adds touches of serious quality to these, like the Wario quote at the start. Most of them in the wild are so lazy. As someone who spends over an hour per song improving the notes, volume balance n effects on every MIDI before uploading them, I like seeing the people who actually try succeed. (I can’t be the only one who noticed most Mario 64 MIDI remixes out there sound awful, right?)
