DON’T BUY! Acorn lifts are not worth it. I had one installed for my father when mobility became an issue with stairs. The lift for some reason stopped working altogether. He had to call 911 to help him get down the stairs. I received a phone call from the police about the situation and how scared my father was. Fortunately the police stayed with my dad until I arrived. I placed a phone calls to the person who installed lift. No phone calls after a week were returned. My husband and I took it upon ourselves to take out the lift. A month later Acorn decided to return our call.
