This is beyond enough. I remember when we broke a rain record with almost 6 inches of rain in 2011 and not ONCE did our power flicker or roads get flooded. All this over 2 inch of rain today? Houston has fallen. It’s so sad to see

I grew up in Houston and it never flooded over a rainy day in the 90’s. EVER!! You had your certain areas and underpasses but it wasn’t everywhere like now. This is getting ridiculous. Our infrastructure is crumbling.

Too damn true! Now it rains for 15 min and everything is flooded.

Lived in Houston since the 70s, always flooded, there wasn’t social media highlighting the random 1/4 mile where that might have been.

@@karabinas has nothing to do with social media. We got 6 inches of rain in 2011 not only did my street not flood, power didn’t go out. I’ve lived through so many hurricanes that power stayed on. You’re telling me this is acceptable over a measly 2 inches of rain?????? Get real.

My area never used to flood until they started cutting down small forested fields and putting up gas stations and strip malls.

I have lived here almost sixty years. It never flooded like this until a few years ago. Time to address infrastructure and stop wasting money on whatever else we are spending on.

Stop voting for Democrats. They keep destroying everything they touch. It’s the same story with every blue city. There is not one exception.

If we stopped doing deforestation at the level we’re doing it at then maybe plants would absorb some of the water

I just moved bk to La , lived in Deer Park/Seabrook-El Jardin/League City area for 6 yrs . El Jardin, Seabrook just got electricity less than a wk ago. I saw many La electric trucks headed there, until bk up. Never been on going flooding like this down here .. and I just turn 60. It’s coming more direction than the gulf. I’m still close to the gulf on border La side and nuthin like this. Lots of rain but no flooding n lots of breaks in between…nuthin like Tx is getting . Breaks my heart. God got me out, for many reasons, kids/grandkids in La for one… and I didn’t want to , I love Tx! Prayers for our brothers n sisters and neighbor state, we love you Texans!! Stay safe

Don't know why some people insist on driving so fast through flood waters. Your vehicle may sit up high enough so that it won't flood out, but it can still hydroplane in all that water and cause you to lose control.
