- My friends and I are off to Epcot! In this Walt Disney World vlog, we enjoy dinner at La Hacienda de San Angel in the Mexico pavilion for the first time, see the new nighttime spectacular Luminous: Symphony of Us and give our review, as well as sharing Epcot favourites and the newly opened World Celebration area with music by Pinar Toprak.

Our day starts at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village in our one-bedroom villa. We has a slower start today, with Max and Alex enjoy breakfast at Sanaa, Gary having a lie-in, and myself spending some time on Patreon with my lovely subscribers. We catch one of the Disney Transport buses to Epcot and get instantly hit by the lovely World Celebration music. We get lucky as well, as Spaceship Earth (otherwise known as 'the ball' the 'golf ball') restarted after a period of downtime, which meant we got to walk straight on!
Making our way onto World Showcase, we choose to go clockwise and start out with lunch at the Lotus Blossom Cafe, the quick service restaurant in the China pavilion. There we give you a cost breakdown of what we ordered and our overall review of the meal. It's then off for a stroll around the world passing through countries like Italy and Morocco, before stopping in the France pavilion for a ride on Remy's Ratatouille Adventure.
Unfortunately for us, the heavens open up, so we take this opportunity to get in line to meet Figment and have a chill in the DVC Members Lounge at the Imagination Pavilion. We have a go at the super large paint-by-numbers that's part of the Festival of the Arts line-up, before exploring World Celebration a little and then checking into La Hacienda de San Angel for dinner. At the table service restaurant we using the Disney Dining Plan, get a starter to share, mains each and churros to share. We give you our review of the value for money, food quality, atmosphere and our usual ratings out of five.
Before the fireworks, we had some spare time to ride Soarin Over California and Living with the Land, before grabbing a spot at the Canada Pavilion for Luminous: Symphony of Us, the new nighttime spectacular viewable from pretty much anywhere on World Showcase lagoon. The show utilises music, lights, fireworks, lasers and water fountains. After the show we give you our review and have a serendipitous interaction with a Disney cast member.
We make our way back to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village via Minnie Van, which can be ordered from anywhere on Disney property to anywhere else on Disney property. We chose to go from Disney's Beach Club as it was a little closer for us to exit via International Gateway than it was for us to get the bus from the front.
You've got one more vlog to enjoy from this vlog series, then I'll be back in the not too distant future with a new Disney Cruise Line series! 🚢

I always take knife fork and spoon with me pack of 4 sets for £1.75 ! They are sturdy as well ! Always places to wash them between booths ! I don’t like how flimsy the ones at wdw and it’s my part of helping the environment lol I loved little mickey and now Gary has figment

Another great vlog, one highlight for me, Gary's version of the fireworks. Also, I don't think there is anyone else out there who loves your end credit music more then me, I foolishly exited out of the video before the end credits and because I love them so much, I went back into the video, had to sit through 2 unskippable ads and TH-cam thought I wanted to start from the beginning again so had to skip all the way through the video to get to the end just for the music, but it was all worth it because I love it so much. 😂❤

I’m so glad y’all felt Luminous had a little something missing. I saw it the first night. And felt technically it was great. But that it was trying to hard. Forced. Gary C put it best. You want to cry out of joy and inspiration. Not after being reminded of loss in life ( though I didn’t think that part particularly emotional. Just forced. ) any who. I love Epcot. Just won’t have to see that show again. Have loved the series.

I gotta agree with this group. The new show is flashy but it doesnt really feel like it has the disney magic. The flow feels weird. The song choices are good, but I agree with Gary the original renditions would have been way better.
I also have this complaint when I see the recent fireworks shows...I can't understand why they don't use the original versions of the songs...the ones that people actually have an emotional connection to! I yelled "yes!" and pointed at my TV when @garyc said that! Lol

I’m not saying this works for everyone, but I once got the second guardians quest at 1:40 because there were some left over! My ride time was during the fireworks, but it was worth it

We also watched Epcot fireworks from Canada! Great spot! We got told off for sitting on the walls :( but my son found a hidden Mickey in the shop so overall 5/5! Loving the vlogs!!

It is so interesting because I would give luminous a 3 as well but we took our 18&20 year old boys who have no nostalgia and they thought it was the best compared to fantasmic and happily ever after because it was fireworks and water - I was surprised but they don’t love the emotions

Please go on the Disney treasure cruise for May 3-10, 2025 to the western Caribbean. It will be my daughter 10th birthday on this cruise and we are going. It will be our first Disney cruise. We both absolutely love watching Adam and Gary and this would be the greatest birthday present ever to meet you both.

Wow 😮charging points in Disney !! On my recent trip to California adventure in Anaheim after using Disney app all day I wanted to charge my phone 📱 I was told by cast members absolutely not !! customer service also said no , the only was i could charge my phone was to buy a charger bar for $35 😢 they need to bring those to Anaheim

My whole thing about the new night time spectaculars is that they lack creativity, I was an illuminations apologist and I still think it’s one of disneys best shows, because it was built from the ground up, they didn’t just throw some fireworks over reproduced Disney songs, they created symphony orchestra songs that evoked emotion

Speaking of Mexican, go to the new Mexican restaurant at the Dolphin next time you are there. It's pretty good, pricey and not on the DP but good. I think I paid around $70 including tip for one person. I had guac., a meal and a margarita made with mezcal instead of teq. I enjoyed it though, and I spent a number of years in NM so I'm pretty familiar with good Mexican food. It's a chain restaurant but worth going to.

Great view of the fireworks. Has your opinion of Luminous changed with subsequent viewings? I remember being a bit ‘meh’ first time watching but liked it more on the second time I watched.
I’ve only seen it once so far. If I’m there & it’s on I would see it again. I loved the spectacle of it, even if the story didn’t pull me in :)

Have a question.. why would you go for a minnie van instead of an uber when leaving the park? I woukd think uber would be both quicker and less expensive? Just curious😅
I can’t remember for certain. I think there was a longer wait for Uber than normal - which could have been due to Festival Of The Arts starting :)
