Nothing will ever come close to the absolute peak that was Born of Osiris and Jason Richardson linking up. I can only imagine the albums and songs they could've came out with if they stuck together for more than just this one album. It's a damn masterpiece.
+Neal Schuster Clearly you guys have no idea. It's clearly progressive technical melodic djent deathcore Or we could stop with the stupid over-categorization of music, just call it fucking good metal and enjoy breaking some walls with our heads lml
The keyboard intro is iconic, I had to come here and listen after almost a decade of not hearing it and wow does this hold up nicely. Takes me back to much simpler times.
completely agree. saw them last friday as well at the attic and got to meet them and they're so chill. not only that but absolutely destroyed it live. have awesome stage presence
M.A.S.T.E.R.P.I.E.C.E. “masterpiece at strenuous tempo ending rather preciously into elevated cyclic ecstasy!” My quick version of what I would think it to be as an acronym for this song. Just from the top of my head. Lol!
everytime I hear this song it brings up memories from wrestling, i used this song a few times to pump up before a match, and now its embedded in my head, it just brings up memories.
Remember my homie Tyler playing this song back in the day when we were hot boxing in his car. I'll always be grateful that he played it! Miss those days
Yesterday, I sat on my couch while eating a bowl of Froot Loops. I was rather enjoying my bowl of delightful coloured loops when suddenly, I happened to lay my eyes on a single strand of hair floating in my white, creamy goodness. As I plunged my index-finger in the ocean of creamy sugar, I thought. Who am I to deny this single strand of hair it's right to bath in my puddle of sugar? Once I carefully extracted this single strand of what looked to be cat hair, I realised that I'm fecking insane.
I can't get enough of the keyboard at the beginning, wished they used more of it in this song. Really just more keyboard in a lot of their songs. It blends so nicely but don't get me wrong this song is sick!
@ElijahJohnCirricione Agreed. Panic Attack, As I Am, Constant Motion, A Nightmare to Remember, The Dark Eternal Night... The list goes on of amazing DT songs.
Loved when they played this live at the London Underworld in Camden, it was awesome when the synth intro was getting tuned and had to be repeated to get the right sound but actually made the intro that more awesome \M/
solo voi capite quello che voglio ascoltare, non so come esprimere il mio senso di gratitudine nei vostri confronti e lo faccio ascoltandovi prendendo spunto da quello che é il più bravo batterista al mondo nonché mio idolo.
TWDA has a few really good songs. Absolution is good and Source Field is incredible. Other than that it's a 7/10 album. Still not nearly as bad as people pretend it is.
After watching the Transcendental Man on netflix and looking at these lyrics i think this is exactly what their talking about. In the movie Ray Kurzweil talked about a singularity coming the the advancement of technology is so great it becomes incomprehendable in the ear future. We will be able to build machines smarter than us as we find out more about how to brain operates and we build smaller and smaller. We could become part robot or build robots smarter than us
Glad I was able to discover this band and then catch some of their set the other day on the break down the walls tour. they are so sick. wish the new album was a bit more creative though.
I think when their old guitar player got kicked out they started producing albums/songs that aren't that inspired. This album is really good but the newer albums have nothing as awesome as the songs on this one. Too bad this is it...
Who really cares about "what genre is this and that" -band? I think it's only kids who dont know what they really like and who like to reflect their lack of self confidence with senseless arguing about genres. I just listen to things that inspire me and what I feel like listening to at a certain moment.
Late reply, but yes! Someone shares my though! I only know this music as hardcore, I could give a fuck less what they call themselves or what they technically are, it's just sick, boo for life
@Gaelheretic4 it just so happens to be that the evolution of life has come to a point where not only does consciousness exist as a result of life, not only has consciousness/intelligence created technology that extends life and may even do so indefinetly one day, but that consciousness no longer needs to be obsessed with survival and can indulge the depths of the reality that exists within. ultimately, to make the DISCOVERY, to find ones own truth, to know ones true self, to be true self.
I remember the pure utter Joy and Amazment I felt when I first heard this... and then my mom came in my room shortly after the song started and said "Turn that noise off!"... What the fuck?
i really miss this
ikr, this reminds me of me and friends driving out to the lake back in senior year. windows down, volume max.
same man .. same
Nothing will ever come close to the absolute peak that was Born of Osiris and Jason Richardson linking up. I can only imagine the albums and songs they could've came out with if they stuck together for more than just this one album. It's a damn masterpiece.
16 or 21, I'll always be in love with this album.
Yesss. I just came back to reminisce in memories
lucky me I'm 27 listening for the first time. =-)
I'm 43-44, I'm gunna be blasting this shit in my retirement home 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
Yes I heard this album when I was 14 or 15 and I'm 23 now and will forever jam this album
It plays every day at work for me!!!
I was 13 in 2011 when The Discovery dropped changed my life fr. Will always love BOO
A Higher Place will be uploaded shortly :)
Man I love electronic melodic symphonic nu prog blackend post synth core
Needed a chuckle. xD
+iPlayDrums This is very obviously punk inspired emo-core with a dash of post-apocalyptic-djent-thrash and a pinch of microwavecore.
+Neal Schuster Clearly you guys have no idea. It's clearly progressive technical melodic djent deathcore
Or we could stop with the stupid over-categorization of music, just call it fucking good metal and enjoy breaking some walls with our heads lml
post ambient rap core all the way
Death disco
The keyboard intro is iconic, I had to come here and listen after almost a decade of not hearing it and wow does this hold up nicely. Takes me back to much simpler times.
Listening to this song again after so many years gave me goosbumps
0:47 wrecks my soul. It's so crushingly beautiful
2023 and this song is still peak BoO
The synth/keys is what really makes this band stand out
Every song this band has contains amazing lyrics
As of right now, definitely my favorite song on this album. It's amazing.
That double bass though
Man... This song is pretty much what truly drew me in and made me a fan.. It was one of those intense... whoa moments for me.
completely agree. saw them last friday as well at the attic and got to meet them and they're so chill. not only that but absolutely destroyed it live. have awesome stage presence
This whole album is glorious when listened with high quality headphones
M.A.S.T.E.R.P.I.E.C.E. “masterpiece at strenuous tempo ending rather preciously into elevated cyclic ecstasy!”

This has to be the best album ever made ever ! I fond it years ago but always relevant!
This band is pretty amazing I like the direction they go.
These lyrics still get me. I remember the Discover Tour like it was yesterday man. Now its 2019
I can't get enough of the keyboard at the beginning, wished they used more of it in this song. Really just more keyboard in a lot of their songs. It blends so nicely but don't get me wrong this song is sick!
man love this band.. can't wait to hear a song of the new album
this album still awesome
What an amazingly good song
2:40 on is pure genius
I f***ing love this song, I love the entire CD, that´s what i call Metal in 2011! Hell yeah!
someone who finally understands the awesomeness of this song.
I never headbanged or danced to songs in an entire album until I listened to this one... :')
THAT IS MY FAVORITE GENRE!
Such a sick song/ band.. Can't wait for the new album though!
Love the electronica in it. This has misha monsoor in it from periphery.
I can't wait to see these guys when they come to Houston Tx, this holiday season!!
You are amazing!!!!
Love the hand chimes.
my favorite band!
Best song ever. The keyboards.
Metal is a very vast genre, basically anything with very heavy guitar can be under it's grasp. This included.
To be honest, i have never listened too them. I just love arguing and getting people all mad over nothing :) gotta love the internet
You both are amazing!!! I think it is awesome when women are into Metal, dunno why but I just find it bad ass. My hat is off to you madam.
Perfect comeback.
Great lyrics!!!!
I really liked the part starting @ 2:40
epic song
I used to not like deathcore , but this album is so good !
i love this band
This was incredible to see live at the All Stars Tour.
I liked the first two albums but then this just hit the fan
This song is masterful.
i remember when this album was getting hyped there was an alternate version of this song that i absolutely loved and cannot find it anywhere
Holy HeadBang im In LOVE!
Such an awesome song
Best song of the album.
True that, man. True that to the fullest.
This song is perfect.
The future of man is a cycle alright. Here i am again years later.
weeeeee are the creaaatorrrrrrrsss
When I listen to this song, breathing is better. The air tastes better....
@ElijahJohnCirricione Agreed. Panic Attack, As I Am, Constant Motion, A Nightmare to Remember, The Dark Eternal Night... The list goes on of amazing DT songs.

AMAZING SONG
solo voi capite quello che voglio ascoltare, non so come esprimere il mio senso di gratitudine nei vostri confronti e lo faccio ascoltandovi prendendo spunto da quello che é il più bravo batterista al mondo nonché mio idolo.
Defiantly learning this song noW!
love it
2:32 my favorite part
Bad part
Same for me, although the entire song is a masterpiece
first few seconds of that synth trips me out so much
I'm really likin the direction.
I wish they would come to birmingham, al!!
It's crazy how more interesting this album is from TWDA....
***** Tomorrow We Die Alive is a fucking joke...
Tomorrow we Die Alive has a few gems,
But this album shits all over it.
TWDA has a few really good songs. Absolution is good and Source Field is incredible. Other than that it's a 7/10 album. Still not nearly as bad as people pretend it is.
Blake Warrens
I think the fact that The Discovery was so good, we all had super high expectactions. TWDA isn't bad by any means.
I agree. it doesn't deserve the hate. Discovery and Soul Sphere are much better though, as is new reign, despite the terrible mix.
I can't wait for their new album. So far, so good.
Good lyrics.
After watching the Transcendental Man on netflix and looking at these lyrics i think this is exactly what their talking about. We will be able to build machines smarter than us as we find out more about how to brain operates and we build smaller and smaller. We could become part robot or build robots smarter than us
12 years later, and we are on the edge of a fully conscious AI…. it was always inevitable.
You could say they Shaped a Masterpiece, wheyyyyyy!
Damn, really enjoyed the drumming in this track.
good lord the treble is so high on that bass it sounds like a laser gun
The future of man is a circle
Just because of you I had to start the whole song over again, I hope your proud.
Bad ass! cant wait for warped tour man!
Awesome!!!
Glad I was able to discover this band and then catch some of their set the other day on the break down the walls tour. they are so sick. wish the new album was a bit more creative though.
The only way this song/band could get more creative if they took out the open cords (not all but a good majority.)
Wasn't it a Discovery then?? :D
Plaguebob
A little piece of me just died, but a new one took it's place. So, thanks for that, I guess.
I think when their old guitar player got kicked out they started producing albums/songs that aren't that inspired. This album is really good but the newer albums have nothing as awesome as the songs on this one. Too bad this is it...
i just got thrown out of the classroom. couldnt stop drumming on my lap
One of my favorite hardcore bands:)
haha, didnt listen for quite a long time, it is still amazing :o
Possibly checking out the whole album now.
I will dare to fight!
We will rebuild!
We will rejoice!
This is SO much different besides other bands in Sumerian Records, I like it :)
Who really cares about "what genre is this and that" -band? I think it's only kids who dont know what they really like and who like to reflect their lack of self confidence with senseless arguing about genres.

Devyn Ascension its deathcore, but to me it sound like melodic death metal with more breakdowns
touche' good sir
the new record is better than i expected
@Gaelheretic4 it just so happens to be that the evolution of life has come to a point where not only does consciousness exist as a result of life, not only has consciousness/intelligence created technology that extends life and may even do so indefinetly one day, but that consciousness no longer needs to be obsessed with survival and can indulge the depths of the reality that exists within. ultimately, to make the DISCOVERY, to find ones own truth, to know ones true self, to be true self.
Nice
I'm thinking about seeing these woth unearth. What you think
This drummer is dope
born of osiris is pure dope :33
Easily my favorite song on the album.
I remember the pure utter Joy and Amazment I felt when I first heard this... and then my mom came in my room shortly after the song started and said "Turn that noise off!"... What the fuck?
fucking brilliant, this is now most likely my new fav band :)
intro is just perfect
COME TO CALIFORNIA D'=
i agree completely
