Any update on the observation hive? Sounded like a good plan. Thanks

Happy Camper - I am going to do another video at some point in time with a list of improvements/modifications, but here are a few of my observations thus far:
      1. As bees died, they fell to the bottom of the tank. (No surprise there). But I think the way in which I had them go to the entrance made it more difficult for the bees to clean up the house. I'm going to modify this in the next version.
      2. As a result of the dead bees staying in the tank, the observation hive had a horrible smell to it. In mid-March, I dismantled the observation hive and put them back outside in a traditional hive.
      3. There are a few other improvements I plan to make on the next version, but at the current moment, I DO plan to have an observation hive again and will still use the basic design. I really enjoyed working in my home office watching the bees!!
      Thanks again for watching!

Those feeders in constant contact with the mesh won't cause them to leak like a sieve? I feel like that might be an issue. I could be wrong...

Andy Joy - Thanks for watching! I did not experience any issues with them leaking. I understand why you think they may be prone to leaking, but I haven't experienced that (at least not yet.) Thanks again!

Is 18inches to wide for the top bars on a observation tank?
