So sorry about your grandma. Losing relatives is a really difficult thing, but it's often not really talked about even though it happens to everyone.

sending you love and support!! i can't imagine what you're going through right now, it really shines a light on how unhealthy unis like oxford can be with regards to mental health, especially when there are already outside things going on. you are so courageous for putting on a brave face and getting on with your work in spite of everything, but remember that it is so important to take whatever time you need, even if it means doing less well in your academics because at the end of the day your mental health is more important.

I am sorry to see how sad you are and what you have been going through. Some people are not nice and the system usually align with them. I also have been going through problems myself at school due to my race and gender. This may not your case, but people and the whole system are just horrible. I am still trying to figure out how can I deal with such situations. But things that help me is to stay away from those terrible people, be friends with people who could understand your situations somewhat, and find a way to alter this anger/stress into a positive motivation for our life.

Sending you lots of love and hugs! You’ll weather this through. There was a time that I was struggling with my mental health, and with the pressure at work, I didn’t perform as well as I used to, so that blew my chances of applying for a promotion. As much as I loved my job, it was a very tough time because not a lot of people understood my struggle-and they weren’t really supportive.
It was years before I slowly got out of that dark tunnel. But what I have learned is that no matter how long and how dark that time could be, you will see that light. And there will be people who will surprise you and give you the kind of support you need. I’ve been given that kind of support from someone I didn’t expect and that gave me hope that things will get better.
