The rear kind of looks like a taycan, and the interior is almost full taycan.
Its not a bad looking car, and in the flesh it will look even better, like porsches always do.
Shame that the new one lost the single analog dial for the rpm, i drove a turbo model, and honestly, looking at that really well made and beautiful analogue gauge with turbo written on it, was very special. The digital ones just dont cur it for me.
Loosing the "hand rest" gear lever is not that great either, it felt commanding to drive with the arm on top of that.
Well, thats pretty much it, its very fast, very advanced, the best interior quality of any car and for sure a great success.

Something about the front end of this new Panamera reminds me of the R35 GTR, and I think is has to do with the way the grille is separated with two side intakes with lights and then the thin upper and larger lower center grille. But overall I agree Porsche did a pretty good job and I'm very happy to see the split wing return as well.

I think it just shows that the design trend at Porsche that started around 2015 with the Macan and 718 continues.
The Panamera is its newest "victim".
Less curves, less smooth surfaces, way more sharp angles.

As a Gen2 owner really thought your analysis is spot on. For some reason this next Gen exterior doesn't quiet hang together for me. My wife instantly said it looks higher and not as sporty.
The inside is a real out and out fail for me. Gen2 is like sitting in a gentleman's club. Gen3 is a plastic looking Taycan interior. And that horrible lady shave gear changer on the dashboard is awful. They put the only thing i can't stand on my 992GTS on the Panamera!
The GT steering wheel on the Gen2 is a solid thick rimmed quality piece of kit and brushed chrome finished. Gen 3 has the cheap plastic bit of rubbish off the Taycan again. Not good.
I have two friends who also have Gen2 who like me have been waiting for this and like me not sure where to go yet. There's always Bentley but I'm not ready to become an old fart and give up on driving yet.

Porsche will follow the trend, wait until you see the new macan face, which has a separate signal lights above the main headlight in the bumper

Driving a sedan - I appreciate when manufacturers do this. With this new design language, the main headlights would be superrrrr high on the Macan. The only vehicles that don’t blind me when they’re behind me are Chevys and Hyundais that separate the headlights and make them lower in the bumper from the DRLs.

Don't be fooled, this is not a completely new car, but rather a major facelift. Carryover doors, side glass, windshield and, most likely, all the body structure underneath. Interior is reworked but architecture is the same. I don't know who buys these things.

In my view, a step backwards in design. Not my style...the interior horrific, sorry. All screens as a Chinese car, the awful and misplaced gear selector plus Pianoblack everywhere in the center, yikes. What happened to Posche? whyyyyyyyyy! Why you took the BAD pieces of Taycan (interior) and overlooked the good ones (exterior)? 200k....will stivk to the 2nd gen, I think this 3rd will have a tough time. Let´s see 4th...

A bit disappointed they got rid of the gear stick selector in the center console and the ignition knob, something which is classic to porsche and harks back to their rich history in LeMans. But such are the times we live in. At least they still gave it a gas/petrol engine with an electrically assisting motor - i hope they follow that path instead of completely electrifying their entire line up. That way the EV geeks get what they want and the petrolheads get what they want.
