Great balance on those rocks in the stream! My wife was a pro at driving the hairpin turns in Tuscany. She will have to drive this loop! Nice video as usual. Slovenia seems to be very clean and well-organized. I'm waiting for Bill to be the narrator for a whole video.
Bill attacked the hairpin turns with vigor! Too much vigor, sometimes. 😂 He also was very nervous about my balance on the rocks since I had a few cameras on me. 😉
I once attended the competition in Planica, it was foggy, so it was actually scary when you saw them through the fog as they were really high up in the air. It was amazing none the less.
We are traveling to Slovenia in May. Both of us have acrophobia and dread drop-offs along the road. The Furka Pass almost did us in! Could you advise on Vsric Pass if it's sufficiently tree-lined along road that drop offs aren't apparent? Or if its a no-go for acrophobes. Thanks!
Hi! It's been 2 years since we did this drive - but - we've talked about it and neither of us recall drop-offs. Our recollection is that views were outward, without sheer cliffs. A lot of the up part was protected by trees. The top had views outward. The down part had gradual downward slope but not a sudden drop off. At least that's how we remember it! Good for you for not letting the fear get the best of you and getting out there in ways that work for you!!

You were lucky because in time of ski jumps competition you couldn`t even aproch to the place with car. Nice video. I hope you enjoy a lot.
Seeing a competition there would be incredible!!
@@TalesFromOurPocket Yes of course. It is nastional holyday. On this place where you were , about 20.000 people are every year. It is crazy! 🙂

First, who jump over 100 meters, was from Norvay in 1936. The Slovene was first, who jump over 250 meters.
Ah, I see where we misspoke. It was the first ski *flyer* who jumped / flew over 100 meters who was from Slovenia. 😊
The first man to jump 100m was the Austrian Sepp Bradl with a flight of 101.5 meters in Planica in 1936. Greetings from Slovenia.
Thanks! Also, your country is beautiful and welcoming!!
@@robertokovac Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. Seveda, nisem preveril.....
