Tell me, what's your first ever anime that you watched back in the day in ye olde wild wild west of the internet? Mine was actually Inu Yasha and then subsequently found my way into Clamp world with Chobits! RIP Kazaa and Limewire, they shan't be missed! 🤣
I think my first anime was EscaFlowne followed very closely by Cardcaptor Sakura because it played right after on Saturday mornings 🤣

The first one I knew was anime was Ranma 1/2 on vhs but the first actual was Chirin no Suzu. Chobits and Sailormoon are beautiful classics. I have the original book that picture comes from.
I was also downloading anime episodes (1/3) lol from kazaa and other software lol Yuyu Hakusho, DB GT, Sailormoon, Utena and so many more
Oh, boy. So, this is wild:
My first real anime was Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal. It was part of the 4Kids Saturday Morning cartoon block, alongside Yu-Gi-Oh! (the original Duel Monsters), Pokemon, and some korean show called "Tai Chi Chasers". Of them, Tai Chi Chasers was short lived (season 2 never aired), I was too old for Pokemon (it was also the middle of an arc), and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters was in the middle of it's final season (I watched, it was epic, but I had zero idea what was going on). Meanwhile, Zexal was new and I somehow caught it's debut. I continued to watch, eventually picking up with Duel Monsters, until the block was completely canceled in the middle of Zexal II, ending on a brutal cliffhanger. Turns out, it also marked the end of Saturday morning cartoons... because the 4Kids block was the last of it's kind in America.
We didn't have internet, but we did have some-sort of 'distributer' (we currently have "Xfinity", but I forget the name - it might have still been Xfinity). Point is, you could search for shows by name, and watch a selection of recent episodes at any time if you had access to the channel it aired on. So, wanting to know how Zexal ended, or to find a new 'anime' like it, I did that - and ended up watching "Aquarion EVOL" and "Fam, the Silver Wing", both sequels of anime I'd never seen ("Aquarion" and "Last Exile"), late at night, with my younger sister. Predictably, neither of us really 'got' what was happening in Aquarion EVOL (Fam, the Silver Wing relied too much on previous knowledge, so we dropped it after a few episodes), though we did finish it.
Eventually, when we got internet, I immediately started looking up the endings of some of my favorite cartoons that I'd never gotten to see end (Kim Possible, Jake Long, etc.). Eventually, I got to Zexal (turns out it ends VERY dramatically - this is also when it occurred to me that 4Kids was 'kidifying' their shows). Somehow, this led to me looking up "[keyword] anime" on TH-cam, which led to me finding fansubs for Momotte! Lollipop and Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch. Eventually this would lead to me finding the English dubs for Munto (a little OVA series which had a voice actor I recognized from Yu-Gi-Oh), Ouran Highschool Host Club, Sailor Moon, etc.
On the internet, I think it was Tokyo mew mew. Cat girls got me.
I don't speak Spanish, well a little, however, while I do appreciate and enjoy that it's in English, I also do not mind if you speak Spanish and use subs. I watch a lot of craft vids in other languages, a lot have subs, a good chunk don't. However, the language doesn't really deter me from a video. I believe yours would translate well enough it won't matter. You have fun energy and the videos are well put together that even without language, we can get a gist of what's going on ^-^
As someone who also doesn't speak Spanish, I don't mind at all reading subtitles!

The thing I love about Leona’s channel (apart from the art) is her authenticity. It reminds me of old school TH-cam before influencers and the fakeness. Just “here’s me doing and sharing something I love, come along for the ride or f**k off” it’s so refreshing.
Ps it would be cool to see you do a mini just for funsies and watching the Fbombs ensue haha.

Oh I love you rigged the lamp to light up! And while I prefer Chii's hair to be grayish strawberry blonde like in manga, regular blonde is very cute too!
Oh my goodness, she is so tiny! It was amazing to watch as you painted parts that were smaller than your finger nails 😆🥹. Love the painted on blue details, it makes the figure quite special. And I am a little obsessed with the miniscule details on her hands and feet ❤️.
Watching this makes me wanna go back and rewatch or even read the manga of chobits and all the other older animes I grew up with 😭 this video was nostalgic as hell and I appreciate it 10000% Chi's adorable.

That pearlescent finish with the white and blue makes her look like a porcelain doll, which is super appropriate for Chii

Non-Spanish speaker, but I agree with many people in the comments: feel free to post as many Spanish videos as your heart desires! I actually enjoy many art/crafting videos with non-English audio and some without English subs at all.

i remember being in middle school this was around like 2005. I vividly remember hiding manga under my desk while the teacher was giving a lesson. i remember reading chobits and toyko mew mew during math class.
I was eleven when I first watched this show, and that opening just ruthlessly punched the nostalgia center in my brain. I absolutely love your work, thank you for making such detailed creations and all the incredibly enjoyable content!! ❤

I've loved Clamp's works for years, ever since Cardcaptor Sakura. They are my absolute favorite manga/anime artists. Currently rewatching Magic Knight Rayearth.

Chobits was one of the first manga that I was introduced to after Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura. Like all CLAMP works, it’s beautiful and aesthetic af, but the actual plot was cringey. Chii and Hideki’s relationship was just sweet and innocent enough to save the universe they existed in for me 😂

Chobits is one of my favourite anime. I spent ages looking for her figurine of her sitting on the lamp! I luckily found a website that sold the Real deal with a good price and she's mine now forever. Chii is my favourite character ever !!!

Chobbits was the first anime in Japanese with subtitles that I watched. I learned a lot of japanese with this anime.
She really was smol wonderful work as always! I used to work on a fansub dedicated to Clamp back in the day xD but it's been more than 10 years. Chobits hurt my feelings in more than one way but the designs are beautiful. Love your work as always.

Ye Olde First Anime was definitely pokemon back in the day, every night at 9PM! And then some sailor moon on VHS at a friend's house lol. I caught half a DBZ episode as a kid and was super interested before it was deemed ""too scary"" for me by my mum and tossed on the do not watch list :( Then a few years later I discovered inuyasha and FMA and jumped fully on the shounen bandwagon. I haven't gotten off since!

OMG, Limewire and Kazza, I remember using those too, lol! Chobits wasn't my first anime or manga, but it was a part of my entryway into them. I have dozens of burned CDs from the 90's of a bunch of different anime music that an old friend made for me, including Chobits!

Chobits was the first manga I read and completed within a month. Shame I wasn't really a fan of cutsey stuff but I was new to the game and I was excited. Never going to get rid of the mangas, they helped me get where I am today- a huge fan of One Piece haha
