I spent a few years (as a civilian) training martial arts with a famous Australian commando, Paul Cale. Damn, that guy would go hard. Every time I was paired up with him, I would groan inwardly, but I guess it toughened me up. Nice bloke, but put him into a combat situation, you'd run.
He's just mentioning the alleged unlawful killings in Afghanistan. Don't know if he'll talk about it later but they were investigated and so much evidence was gathered that the unit was disbanded and their name struck. That means that unless overturned that unit name/number cannot be reused. That's basically considered the biggest punishment a unit (not the people in it) can get in the military. Edit: I see he mentioned it at the end. Now, I'm not saying that Australia's most highly decorated soldier of the War on Terror was in anyway involved in these, especially since he likes to sue over it.. but he was the field commander of the unit so...
