    You have done absolute WONDERS for my body image. I have basically your exact body type and it's one I hardly see represented. I've literally looked in the mirror and thought ''hey, this is like how Carrie looks" and felt a million times prettier. I know it's a struggle, obviously it is for me too, but you're helping so many people feel so much better :)

    Hi Carrie, I just love that you said it's okay in this self-love journey to sometimes not be feeling your body like that. I'm kind of in a valley myself, but I do feel like I'm coming out of it. I think it's so vitaly important to our personal growth to acknowledge and embrace those moments and love ourselves through it all. Thank you for your transparency it really does help others not feel so alone ❤️

    I appreciate you talking about wanting aerie to extend their sizing. I think sizing can also be improved by making options for bustier gals. Proportions of breasts to bands differ greatly and it feels like most sports bras have the same proportions in all the sizes. It's frustrating not being able to fit into sports bras because the bust isn't generous enough. And sizing up means the band underneath will be too loose and then have no support. That's another area of size inclusivity that I think can improved.

    • @Elizkleincaz
      @Elizkleincaz 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Tell me about it. I wear a 40/42 C. That basically doesn't exist, lol. Bralettes and sports bras are always too small in the band but too large in the cup 🙄🙄

    • @andreabelec7852
      @andreabelec7852 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes!! And I have a huge rib cage but a smaller bust in comparison so I have to size up to have some room around my ribs but then the cup area is too big! S, M, L sizing for sports bras doesn’t cut it anymore brands!

      @ScarletBegonia1974 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This! Their bralettes are so cute, but if I get the size that will fit my DD/DDDs, the band is usually way too big. and now Ive gained a few quarantine pounds everything is spilling out

    I've had a lot of peaks and valleys with my body and self-image throughout quarantine. I can know and hear the words that the only thing my body has to do during a pandemic is stay alive, and I believe that! I repeat it to friends all the time...but sometimes your own advice is the hardest to take. Seeing you go through those moments, feel those feelings, and try on these clothes in a body that looks like mine is more validating than you could know. Love you, mean it!

      Same with anything in short or long lengths omg. They’re rarely even offered, and when they are, they sell out IMMEDIATELY. How can they praise themselves on being so inclusive when they almost never have anything available that’s not for “average” sized customers? They’re an incredibly popular brand, so it’s not like they don’t have the money to extend their sizes and make sure that items remain in stock. 🙄

In the first 40 seconds of the video you mention Aeries lack of sizing for us plus size folks. stunning queen long live carrie✨❤️ I’m a size 20 and I’ve never bought aerie leggings because I’m scared they won’t fit and it’s such a disappointment they haven’t extended the sizing further. I’ve been on a body positive journey for the past year and you have been my main supporter in that. The past 2 months I’ve hit the lowest low I’ve had in a while with my body so you opening up about also experiencing this was so comforting. Sending you love❤️ thank you for all that you do✨ you spread goodness and love and acceptance and that’s beautiful

    When you started crying, I started crying because this week I’ve been in a funk about my own body and actually cried about how uncomfortable and big I’ve gotten. I’m currently at my heaviest and I can’t recall the last time I cried about how I looked, maybe in my early twenties but I guess being on my period doesn’t help and it made me emotional. 😭 I’m glad to relate to women like me and know that I’m not alone. It’s a life long journey to love yourself in every possible way but thanks for sharing with us a struggle we all encounter! before aerie like FULLY announced their offline collection they had dropped a few pieces on their site and I randomly got this AMAZING offline longline/crop style cami bra thing that i QUICKLY became obsessed with and I believe is exactly the style you talk about loving - it's called THE HUGGER and you can usually find it in their sports bra section. I tried to find a link and I saw it on the site but when i clicked it, it said it was no longer available. My biggest pet peeve with aerie is that they RARELY restock - i find something I love, try to go back to buy more, and it's gone forever (RIP my favorite high cut ribbed bikini underwear that only existed for a month on the site) BUT ANYWAY - i say all of this to say to keep an eye because they usually bring back something similar and it's by far my favorite top to work out in.

    As someone who works at Aerie, I can say our sizing sucks, especially in stores. I am an XS-S and we never really have XS in stores, or XL ever. Our most popular and common size is medium in pretty much everything. Occasionally finding an XXL in the store after returns is like hitting the gold mine. In-store and online sizing needs improvement for sure!!

    What I have been noticing about stores lately is they are repeatedly running store sales of 20-40% off (Aerie and American Eagle, included). It’s definitely a marketing tactic to make you feel like you are saving money (increase sales) when they could just lower the base price of the products... but you know- economics 🤷🏼‍♀️

    First of all Carrie you’re such a wonderful human. You always speak the truth and what’s on your heart and I love that about you! I truly think mustard yellows, terra cotta orange, and neutral colors were made for you! You look stunning in any color but neutrals just suit you so well!♥️

    I have the neck thing too! It took me forever to get used to wearing crew neck t-shirts, because I just felt like I was being strangled. I remember wearing a choker for the first time and wanting to claw it off my neck. Things have gotten better, but yeah I still prefer not to have anything pressing against my neck.

What I love about your channel is that you’re so honest and you accept yourself for who you are; and honestly it motivates me and makes me love myself knowing that there’s someone who has the same body as me. I’m always cheering you on through the screen and you’re like the big sister of positivity in TH-cam. Keep doing you because you’re doing amazing and you’re an inspiration ♥️

    That number two top with the crossed back is so cute and it looks good on you, but i imagine it paired with some slim high waist dark jeans and a vintage belt instead of the tights.
    I would wear it as an ‘every day’ tank top and not as a workout tank top, as you mention.
    I would love to get my hands on one of those. Thanks for sharing.

    Early squaaad💗💗 also I the only reason I dislike this collection is bc its so hard to tell what’s what now when nothing is really labelled like it used to be aka Chill, Play, Move etc.

    • @urmamasmamasmama
      @urmamasmamasmama 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I can see why that matters, especially with the leggings!!,

      abcdefghijk lmnopqrstuvwxyz i have a HUGE problem with texture! The chill and play leggings have been my favorite but the moves were too tight for me and definitely ran a bit small. I’m usually a medium short in their leggings in general but I’m very confused now without the fabric explanations and labels! Also for people who are deaf or blind who may not have any other way of knowing what kind of fabrics/feels/looks etc. It is definitely not the most practical anymore.

    • @urmamasmamasmama
      @urmamasmamasmama 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@meredithgomes6559 I am with you 100 % on the texture issue. Ugh!
      Thanks for pointing out as well the issue for folks with disabilities having difficulties shopping with this brand etc. I never would have thought of that.The things I take for granted..

      @@meredithgomes6559 Wait, I'm deaf. How is a word in a title affecting me in terms of not knowing what fabric something is? We can read the description, feel, and see it so I'm genuinely confused.

    I honestly think the mustard/leopard print outfit looked great on you! I feel like if you’d want the top to be a little more fitted, you could always do a little knot with a hair tie or something along the lines of that. And since the sports bra is visible in the back, its brownish-gray color helps tie in the colors of the leopard print on the leggings!
