I think co-injection molding units were used here. 2 different barrels on one molding machine and one shoots a "core" and the other will shoot the "skin" layer and they will both fill the mold at different times in your injection profile. That's my guess
Question for the masses. How have you noticed humidity affecting flight? I learned to play in the midwest, but once a year play in SoCal with family, and it seems to me I tend to overturn, or accidently flip my disc much much more often in SoCal. I dont know, just seeing if there is something to that, or im just playing bad out there.
What's the altitude where you normally play? If you're playing 1000 feet lower in SoCal, then that's the main reason. A disc that you'd normally flip to flat at 12-1500 feet will easily burn over at sea level. I've never noticed that humidity has much relevance.
@@McSlobo i know it makes a difference too some degree, it was just shocking HOW MUCH MORE i was just flipping/overturing discs that have always been super reliable. Thought it did help on a couple holes where rollers were viable.
A thing to note is that these discs will suit Swedish weather better. Both Kastaplast and Latitude have lately been putting out some softer plastics that are great for fall/winter/spring golf but not so much in the summer. And note #2: get original L64!😅
You guys should try out Innova's new champion halo discs. Star plastic halo with a champ plastic flight plate. I've been loving the destroyers and roadrunners so far.
I think a good video series could be playing with discs from the foundation monthly subscription box, and perhaps do a give away at the end of the video!
You should do a skins match where each skin is worth two hours of time off from work. However, the one with the most hours has to record what they do on their time off.
Wax makes all discs grippy. I bought a max wax summer blend and I will never use a dirtbag again. I didn't realize just how slick those bags made my hands until I tried an actual grip enhancer. Get some wax. I suggest Max Wax it has not melted in the heat.
That's not at all what this was, it's not gyro. It's not intended to add more weight to the outside with the intention to add spin. It's trying to provide a stiffer rim with a softer center, while providing more grip on the cover of the disc.
Without watching to much... is this not just MVP/Axiom? They use overmold, which is just a very fancy way to say different plastic over another type of grippy or regular plastic. Then there is Yikun(think thats what they are called) which does the same thing with a couple of their discs.
No, it's just a normal disc with some extra grippy plastic on the flight plate. Not an overmold, not an undermold. I'm not sure why everyone thinks it's mvp. I'm not trying to be a dick but how does adding a tiny layer of grippy plastic over the middle of a disc make people think of mvp? I guess they aren't helping by comparing it to Tone. Imagine you took a star destroyer and added some tree sap on everything but the rim. That's the most redneck non scientific way I can think of it haha. Apologize that I've probably come off as an ass, I do not have a way with words.
From what I have seen and understand tone and pg plastic are different. Tone is two different plastics sandwiched together. Project grip is almost like a film on the center of the disc. The rim is all the same plastic unlike tone where half the rim is one and the other half is another.
0% informative
100% entertaining
Project Split Grip > Project Grip
"Dude that resisted your torque" had me lol
Not Trevor outplaying Hunter and keeping it even between the discs 😂😂
Trevor saying it's all about the stiff 😂😂😂😂
Trevor’s humor positively correlates with his performance, better Trevor jokes = better Trevor shots
Looks like Hunter's been working hard on that dad bod. Join the club, bro 😂
"Thank you for the noises Mr. Fuley sir" got a soft chuckle

Yes that's what i believe too. It's nothing like clash. So the rim they feel is the same grippy plastic as the center
9:24 - Trev with the Mitch Hedberg impression lol

As ronjones put it, it's about the air pressure. Of course when there's water droplets in air flight is affected.
@@ronjones-6977 did not think about altigude much, probably just noticing the humidity difference more, but yea, that makes a lot of sense.

Trevor was on one at the start of this video and I love it
Should’ve gone with the slap contest, would’ve been electric
15:59 Trevor: I’m in heat) 2024 😂
12:35 Sometimes I forget that Hunter can throw other shots besides hyzers. This was a great one.
Trevor got that goof ball energy going on in the beginning.

how many hands does Konner have?
Please test with how they would play in cold being softer plastic.
0:48 😂😂😂 careful with that thang, Trevor
I love the final switch! ROFL!
1:50 I see Trevor's been watching CaseOh's Minecraft streams 😉
You should do a skins match where each skin is worth two hours of time off from work. However, the one with the most hours has to record what they do on their time off.
Let's go Big Hunt!
The "raining bills" with the discs had me ROFL!!!
Let's settle this: I watch cause you're funny. Seeing nice throws is a bonus.
Sounds like a reverse mvp overmold
Shhhhhhh... They don't want to get sued.
Another fun video, guys!
10:45
I like the way you throw right der right der
Right into the chains right der right der
Where gonna have birdie in herre in herre
I got a project grip explorer gifted 2days ago, and my backhands have been SO much better with that disc 😅
We need that slap video, ya know for science or whatever

Dang they invented mvp? That's impressive
No it's not a separate overmold so it won't produce extremely inconsistent discs like MVP does.
@@derpderpin1568 thanks for your input, derpderp

Next time I throw my disc into a creek, I'm doing the Trevor dance.
They look overly domed. Maybe just the way it comes thru the camera?? Or Are they super domes?
Not here for the 5’8” slander
When these types of premium plastic becomes so grippy, are we going to see people use project grip/tone plastic on their putting putters?
Mvp already makes tourqe resistant dual plastic discs
After all said and done, Mcbeth and co would beat most ams using the latest fancy plastic with a dx starter set.
I thought the Pure they sent was just a regular not grippy plastic to show the difference?
So next video is the winner plastic of this video vs mvp patent pending discs
4:50 first throw
"We buy it, not biased"
If ya'll don't at least attempt to make this series, I'll be upset! 😯😂😂
soon as they said it i gave it the stank face
trevor killed this one
*terrible shot*
“Bad disc.” 🤷🏻♂️
😂
Kastaplast K1 plastic is the best feeling i think.
I think the Pure is just Goldline... Isn't there one "control' disc?
There was one but we did not bring it to the course
Other boxes i've seen (all the same colors of discs too) had a stock goldline Compass for the comparison.
Pretty sure mvp been doing this for years.
Well how the turn tables
I will have to agree with Hunter, I do like the soft plastics bettter

From my understanding they use two separate molds or injections times whereas this is in the same mold and normal weight distribution
@FoundationDG fair enough. Would be cool for it being a single injection rather than double. Appreciate the response!
Overmold is a separate piece, leads to extremely inconsistent discs.
@@derpderpin1568 Idk about that. MVP/Axiom discs seem rather consistent across the board.

Lets see how long we can talk about MVP Giro without talking about MVP Giro
This is how your challenge reviews should go, switch up every hole or 2
ima patient 3 different plastics in one. over mold and under mold.
So this is basically an mvp/axiom rim ok
Was that a blue ICE drink flavor I’ve never heard of??????
“Yes, but this is different.” - Lat64 spokesperson, probably
What about MVP?
Where's MVP in this whole discussion?!?
I figured out the double injection method in 2017, before I had ever even heard of disc golf.
Tune in @4.50 for the first of many many shanks.
So they developed an MVP discs?😅😅
See if you can peel them apart?
This is what jcole was talking about, I finally get it
GRIPPY! ITS ITS ITS GRIPPY!
unremarkable, despite my remark
I found your unremarkable remark to be quite remarkable myself.
Way too special bois for me. One minute was enough.
S/O to Folklore Big Trev
Its hard to not comment that latitude must have given 64 rim jobs to get this video and patent
Sucks a good disc company didn't do this
5…..minute……intro
Would you do drunk goggle disc golf
Trevor is a swiftie confirmed?disc seems like mostly a marketing ploy tho
“I think I’ve seen this film before, and I didn’t like the ending”
seriously tho, im sure their audience is mainly males
Trevors been quoting Taylor Swift for a while.
First tevor yawn at only 1:10
Konner do u want to know why u are not getting more distance here’s why your reach back is too high let me know if it works 😃
Not Trevor singing some Taylor swift
We want more POV’s from Kon
So what mvp has already been doing for years.
No
Vid 41 of asking yall to come down to NC to play Zebulon Park for either a battle or just to play
Can I move over there from Arizona and work for you guys? I'll work for cheap and live out of a van, haha.
I don't think it is at all similar to tone plastic. The process seems completely different to me
From what I have seen and understand tone and pg plastic are different. Tone is two different plastics sandwiched together. Project grip is almost like a film on the center of the disc. The rim is all the same plastic unlike tone where half the rim is one and the other half is another.
Dr DisRespect entered the chat
Mvp=mechanically bonded outter rim
Tone=mechanically bonded underside
Lattitude=chemically bonded/fused?
I dunno
Comes off as a slight rip off of what MVP already does with gyro
Its....not even close?
So, like, they just stole Clash's technology and then tried to patent it? Guess who is never bagging Lat 64.
i know it would be a ways off but do you think foundation will ever get more scientific with their testing? maybe even have like a disc golf lab?
Can we get a shirt with “ It’s all about the stiff” loved when Trev said that
Just throw Gyro all these disc makers are trying but can never be MVP 😅
Lets GO!
Yay for ripping off overmold.
Ahhhh so they invented Prism Proton plastic.
That's literally the same discs someone's getting sued lol
12:31 at 0.25 speed. Trust me.
What are you? 12?
Project grip is better
Hunter always screws these videos up. It seems he purposefully throws new stuff terribly. I’m Always annoyed by that
Hunter looks like he smells bad, and Trevor looks like he smells poorly.
i love how this video is gonna make 1 company so much more money than the other based on who wins
No, People aren’t bagging any of these and replacing their discs regardless of who wins or loses.
Half the shots hit trees and bushes anyway 😂
Maybe stop talking over each other?
Keep crying
