I am a Romanian citizen, married to a retired American military officer. Even though we live in Italy, we decided to apply for my visa and green card. The legal way: taxes and fees, criminal records from both Romania and Italy, trips to Romania for said documents , trips to Naples at the American Embassy, medical records, vaccines. That’s how you do it right! What happens at the southern border is not even an invasion anymore, it’s an open invitation. This current administration is absolutely evil. Title 42 suspended title 8 laws and authority use to deter and penalize illegal border crossing. The Right was using it to undermine legal asylum under 8 US code 1158. It also suspended 8 US code 1325; the misdemeanor that carries a civil penalty for crossing the border illegally. And 8 US code 1326; stiffer penalties for crossing the border after deportation
That left out any legal penalty or deterrent for those crossing and stopped legal asylum, with few exceptions under title 42. Makes it difficult to enforce immigration laws when Republicans are fighting in court to undermine our legal enforcement. With title 42 suspending enforcement many immigrants re-crossed multiple times causing apprehension numbers to be inflated. The current rate of multiple returns was about 40% of border crossers.

There were probably millions that came from all borders. I am Portuguese and when my people come to america, we seek a new opportunity as the “American Dream” concept and are very much willful to do things legally. Not to mention the amount of security Europeans, Asians or other continental citizens go through before entering the actual community within the states. TSA are very strict and they do a good job. Not sure how its been recently but those states that border the south are bombarded every, single, day with suspicions higher than ever due to disregard and ignorance from the majority or more powerful Democratic Party. I was raised in Jersey under Bush, Obama, Trump and Biden and I can clearly say that Biden was definitely not the man for this job. I dont agree that Trump is a great man either but the Republican party is serious in a lot of scenarios. Maybe not always in conscienciousness but mindful of future problems. There will always be division within groups but as a European, where cultural differences are accepted in many ways, it breaks my heart knowing how many children and women are sexually harassed every day. Yeah. It'd be nice if they'd do something for once, that doesn't set us back or cost the U.S. taxpayer more than ten billion in aid. If we had all the U.S. funds given to Israel and Ukraine we could easily fix the border security problem, and devote some of it to helping integrate new immigrants into our society. Shipping immigrants by the bus load to other states is just shifting the responsibility, and not taking care of the problem. It is the Federal Government's responsibility to assist states in this because it's their lack of action that's causing the huge influx of new illegal immigrants into the U.S. Shame on the Biden Administration and this Congress for not doing something about it. There has to also be strings tied to U.S. financial aid, as well as limits placed on it. Other nations need to have a laid out plan before receiving a commitment or aid from the U.S., otherwise we just cannot afford to give our money away all over the place. We continue to help create problems all around the world that bankrupt the U.S. back home, but there has to be another way of dealing with international relationships and problems.

My maternal grandparents came from Ireland. My maternal grandparents became from Poland. They came to work hard and become good citizens. They didn't expect handouts. They worked hard their whole life to provide for their families the legal way. They helped make America strong. These people coming now are ruining the country.

Title 42 suspended title 8 laws and authority used to deter and penalize illegal border crossing. The Right was using it to undermine legal asylum under 8 US code 1158. It also suspended 8 US code 1325; the misdemeanor that carries a civil penalty for crossing the border illegally. And 8 US code 1326; stiffer penalties for crossing the border after deportation That left out any legal penalty or deterrent for those crossing and stopped legal asylum, with few exceptions under title 42. Makes it difficult to enforce immigration laws when Republicans are fighting in court to undermine our legal enforcement. With title 42 suspending enforcement many immigrants re-crossed multiple times causing apprehension numbers to be inflated. The current rate of multiple returns was about 40% of border crossers.
