For the sunglasses matter , remember when Gilles Bensimon used them on the covers of vintage ELLE magazines , example Elaine Irwin with her head upside down , that was terrific and did not looked like ads
Funny how Vogue Arabia took your advice on Vogue Australia's cover. I wonder if Leibowitz was secretly in charge of Australia's shot? I don't mind blue-green in the skin or highlights if it's the third or fourth complementary color in an image.😉 You lost me with the Arnaud Lajeunie cover for Homme+. Great color contrast between the headpiece and title. (I wonder if they're equiluminent?) The longer I look at the cover, the more it brightens up a bit. The highlights sketch Szymon's face and there's that nice, shadowy cheek before we arrive at the earring, which does look like it's been masked and enhanced a bit. It's an exotic, mysterious look for a man and the vibe matches it. Great video as always.
This is my problem with the American Fashion Magazine Covers: 1- When you're a 'Fashion Magazine', The Covers should exudes the stature that you're presenting as. Not looking like a wedding photoshoot every single releases. 2- You have possibly the most budgets to spend and resources can gets out of all other regions but to go with the most basic covers that seems amateurishly produced. 3- compares to others, it seems like they love to used celebrities status and fames be in the covers to sells without any storyline or concept behind that covers just because. Although with the models on the covers, still it didn't have any thoughtfulness of the story. Like seriously, looking at others region magazine covers are much more enticing, inducing and visually appealing that it's tell us 'We are The Fashion Magazine'.
Haha, LA isn't all bad, I'm a California boy myself, but it definitely is much more concerned with Celebrity and fame, allowing a lot more fake artists to thrive.
Excellent Marco. I really dislike the current underlit trend. Just got the Australian Vogue Zendaya cover issue today. Dark, dirty and dull - and not in a good way...
You have to keep in mind that I’m a model scout, so I’ve had so many experiences with these casting directors and having massive disappointment for absolutely incredible models. My issue with that daughter is how incredibly far away she is from what a model looks like, there is so much of an emphasis on youthful natural beauty, and after years of unsuccessfully trying to model, her mother stops being on that show and then just like with the Hadids, then she starts booking all these huge jobs. Another human with that appearance, all the surgery and filler, would NEVER be booking these jobs. She isn’t the only nepomodel, but the vulgarity of her face from her surgery is particularly jarring.
@@THEMODELGENE got it, I used to be more interested in the fashion photography but lost interest as I got older and more cynical. Thank you for answering, makes sense
@@ronniea.4830 I started making these videos for the same reason, trying to remind myself of why I actually fell in love with fashion photography. What bothers me the most about these nepo models is that it is taking away a job from someone who not only deserves it more, but that the public then suffers because the images are worse.
@@goodbyelullaby4894 Thank you, one man show over here. The youtube is just for fun, but I am a model scout and photo retoucher, my background is in architecture but I worked in PR, artist management and styling.
Can we Puh-lease talk about that Vogue Spain cover with Lisa Rinna's daughter... a mess! Which is why I strongly believe, nepotism encourages mediocracy. When you are rewarded for being mediocre, you set the standard low. The young lady is not a model, models should be able to sell you a story, a fantasy.
I LOVE THE BATTLES!!! I just sit and wait all freakin' month for you.
🥰 thank you, I had a lot of great material this month
That time of the month: "cover battles"!!!… on point as usual!.. thank you Marco!!
Gracias Jose!
Always excited to watch these. Love the channel, keep ‘em comin!!!
Hope you enjoyed it!

There are ways to do it to make an interesting photo, but it is much harder to connect with a subject when their eyes are not visible.
You're doing God's work with these battles
😂 thank you
Retire..or move to LA.. love it!

А что вы имеете против Ирины Шейк?
I don't have anything against her, she just isn't my favorite model
У Вас интересный канал и хороший вкус, а ещё чувство юмора. А Вы сами занимаетесь съёмками?

I wish we didn’t have to talk about it, I wish it didn’t happen, but I agree with you entirely
