Always love your videos. Inspiring for me to get back in the studio. I was trying to keep track of all the birds singing in the background. Most popular was the Western Tanager and Western Wood Pewee. I also heard a Townsend Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Dark-eyed Junco, Spotted Sandpiper, Mountain Chickadee, Hammonds Flycatcher and a Cordilleran Flycatcher. Lots of birds singing at your camping spot. Take care!
Im not sure if you ever thought about it but some artist in the future is going to credit you as inspiration for their style of painting. especially since there is documentation of you creating. Keep up the good work, I am inspired
Greetings from England! Just discovered a few of your posts and it is a delight to find an artist who is not obsessed in trying to paint a subject as if they were a photographer! So many offerings on YT assert that the only way a painting can be real is that it should mimic a photo and so often lose all vitality. What we tend to find is a flat and uninteresting surface when one needs to have some sense of the spirit of the place or object. It is a bit like squeezing the juice out of grapes and then not going on to ferment wine or distill brandy! I am a bit more controlled in my painting but occasionally let rip and i admire you for the courage of your convictions and execution! You children may like this quotation: The Velveteen Rabbit Quotes Showing 1-27 of 27 “Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real.' 'Does it hurt?' asked the Rabbit. 'Sometimes,' said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful. 'When you are Real you don't mind being hurt.' 'Does it happen all at once, like being wound up,' he asked, 'or bit by bit?' 'It doesn't happen all at once,' said the Skin Horse. 'You become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand.” ― Margery Williams Bianco, The Velveteen Rabbit
So I've watched a few of your videos now. I mostly paint in watercolor. When I first started watching, I honestly didn't think it was coming out very good. Part of that I think was you were zoomed in more so you couldn't see the entire piece much and you paint pretty large pieces. So I kept waiting to see how are you going to finish this and then suddenly you were done and all of the sudden you step back a bit and see the entire work and man, it really comes together. Fascinating to watch the way you paint. It seems so loose and rough but it all comes together. Thank you for sharing. Great stuff!
Hey cool easel😊 i paint whit acrylic gouache and himi miya gouache. I tryed all paints and ever time i come out to himi miya gouache and i tryed the liquitex acrylic gouache and i fell in love whit the tecture of the paint😊
I love kids art. It's always very honest, they only paint what they feel and don't try to do anything else. But as adults we tend to get away from that. We could learn from the little ones I think.
Loved the brush strokes on the water of the lake. Not what I was expecting but they worked so well! Such a shame I cant do your course with you, I am learning so much from your vids.
Finally...like a Twisted Sister song, The Kids Are BACK!? Those little ones need their own spin off TH-cam channel 🤣. Yeah, you paint well and that's great.... But being a patient, kind father.. which you seem to be, is where you should have pride in yourself. It is a much bigger deal🤘🙏🙏🙏.
The painting of the view across the lake was my favourite. Turner do you think your art is developing in a particular way, you seem very confident with your present style, difficult to answer I know but just curious to know how you feel about your art.
Hi Turner it me again Cat, I wanted to know what kind of easel you use in your videos. All the one I see have the supply box in the back, I think it being in the front is great. Do you know where I can get one and the name. Thank you again cat
@@peterwillems8721 Turner Vinson is my favorite painter. He knows i was kidding around...you know that too-right? I couldn't figure out what your comment meant...😆😬
@@MegadoseTheOutsiderArtist Ok, no problems What I meant ? Well, the words 'better painting' were a problem first. But now that you say TV is your fav painter (by the way: mine too) ... misunderstanding ... okay ? (and ... by the way ... @@peterwillems8721 Oh my! I am assuming TV knew i was kidding around or at least making his daughter feel great about her painting....I am thinking that it wasn't clear now!?? Oh!
So Enjoy watching your painting videos. I really like the freedom you use with the paint. Your work looks fresh and exciting. Keep up the great work.
Particularly liked your early morning painting on this vid. Thought I could sense your pleasure in such a lovely subject. Love your painting
Your children look like you! What a great spot to paint! Looks like little bird is already an artist herself😊
It was great spot, and both kids are quite good artists!

Can we see some of your students at work?
Que bonito, me gustaría saber si es acrílico o óleo? Gracias👏👏
I really like your impasto work. It's amazing! Do you use paint thinner with oils or do you use water-soluble oils and use water?
Thanks, Nick. I’m just using thinner with oils.
How did you take the painting back then?
Probably a panel carrier
Nice paint slingin' Tom! Did you paint the last one from your dove gray canoe on Algonquin Lake?
Avec un petit pinceau vous faites des miracles on dirai van Gogh je me régale de vous voir faire vos tableaux quel. Talents

I LOVE when your kids are around and give you advice! Heehee...so sweet! Are you sad that your daughter's painting was better then yours? 😜
Well well well .
That remark was not so diplomatic: let's say this was ALL very ... fruitfull and promising for the future.
😎 and smile 😊
