    so, one pan to sear, a big crockpot, and another pan to brown. You could put the rub on them, lay them in a baking dish and cook in the oven for about 45 minutes at 375 degrees and they will brown in the process. One pan, one mess, much less time and even browning.

    I use a mixture of gee butter and some olive oil for frying..makes a huge difference and adds so much flavor .I like that idea of putting in the oven broiler afterwards...I'm going to make these tonight...yay!

    Hi Sarah! I cooked six chicken thighs yesterday and used your recipe. I didn’t have the Trader Joe’s seasoning so substituted with what I had, Fiesta brand “Season-it-all”. I thought this recipe was so simple and in no way would it turn out so good. I was wrong! This is the BEST tasting chicken! The meat was falling off the bones and I had to be very careful removing the chicken from the crockpot. We loved it!! I have subscribed to your channel and will look forward to cooking more meals, thanks to you! 😘

    I have the Cuisinart crockpot that browns. I won't need to use my stove.

      Me too! I love it! It really lessens the amount of “slow cook” time. Browning heat stays in the pot when you turn it to slow cook. Things come to proper temperature so quickly!

    Can’t eat skin but it looks good! Also if you sear it in the beginning why do you have to put in the oven?

    • @SugarSpiceMomLife
      @SugarSpiceMomLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey :) The searing just adds flavor and color but does not cook the chicken through. It’s only for a little bit of time on each side. This step of searing does not have to be done , it just deepens the the flavor and look of the chicken. Hope that helps!

    What's the point of using a slow cooker when you're 1) using a fry pan to sear the meat and 2) using the broiler after cooking, to brown the meat further? You could simply use the pan OR the broiler to cook the meat in the first place, and do it in a lot less time than 4 hours. Your recipe defeats the very purpose of using a slow cooker, which offers a "dump and go" freedom without having to stand in front of a hot stove or deal with a hot oven. This is a time-wasting recipe...sorry.

    Your not rude at all !! Unless the iron skillet comes with& fits inside the crock pot recipe is no good
