Most beautiful passport in the world. The new ones have Ogham letters on every page and art and poetry, in Gaelic and english, I genuinely sat for an hour looking at it when I got mine renewed and it was the new kind.
I like that it has a nice golden harp on it!
The harp is the official symbol of the Irish state, but it had to be turned backwards so it would look different from the harp symbol for Guinness. The Guinness company has existed longer than the independent Irish state and had the symbol first.
I'm a dual citizen of Ireland and Canada so it's nice to know what I could do if I get my Irish passport

@@Danny-po5vpCorrect, Ireland's not The USA 😂. You will only be taxed by the nation you reside in for a period of 3 months or longer.

@@monjargon No, I don't think so. You just have to be entitled to be a citizen, ie. Irish grandparent etc.

Your American passport has taxation via citizenship instead of residency which is the only downside.

@@pauliewalnuts5803 I was given up for adoption and have no idea who my biological parents are but I was always told my heritage was Irish/Scottish and 23 and me results confirm that.
@@daliOtter sorry to hear that if you want to apply however they asked me for a bunch of documents for my dad who was from Northern Ireland it was a very long winded process and it got turned down in the end as I missed one document not sure how you will apply in your case
